  1. I would just like to make everyone aware that we have absolutely nothing to do with the London based company Fabulously Fetish, which it would appear alot of people think we are, all our footwear is made by the old company Leatherwork which has now relocated to the Midlands. I have been told some very worrying stories from customers of ours, Skyscrapers, who had placed orders and parted with alot of money with Fabulously Fetish and have received nothing, it would appear these are not just one of instances but quite common, so please be very careful if thinking of ordering from them. Unlike them we can always be contacted by email, phone and twitter and would never ever not fulfill an order. So please remember SKY-SCRAPERS footwear has nothing to do with Fabulously Fetish. Thanks

  2. Yes. I already mentioned it here. I was lucky to talk with them/the shoemaker by phone and I hope all gets finde now. There was a problem cause of language barriers.

Lets hope so, we get numerous emails and calls from people asking what has happened to them because they try and contact them but without sucess and seems most have placed orders.!!

  3. I did.

And I don't find that stange. Why keeping shoes that I don't like? Also you haven't offered returns at that time.

I contacted you when you re-designed your website. At that time the 'old' boots have already been sold for 2-3 years. I thought to give you another try. So, I asked for some changes on the standard styles, but you declined them immediately. I think you even haven't asked Leatherworks if they could do what I requested. Those were simple changes what other companies offer on request regularly. So, I purchased a pair at Fabulously Fetish. To have so much problems with them now, I couldn't guess before.

The reason we declined is that the "now Leatherworks" will not make any changes to the styles that they already do, we have tried before even on small changes and they will not do it. Reading your last comment are you saying that you purchased a pair from Fabulously Fetish and have problems with them.?

I don't wish to take sides in this disagreement but would note that the Skyscrapers website appears to be in breach of the UK/EU Distance Selling Regulations.

    http://www.sky-scrapers.co.uk/index.php/terms_conditions

Notably in the "Returns" and "Cancellations" sections. An admin charge is clearly not allowed in the DSR.It is also a requirement to clearly identify the business before payment is made. This means an address or other details (such as company registration number) that will identify the place of business.

Here is a useful guide to the DSR: http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/general/oft913.pdf

    and another: https://www.gov.uk/online-and-distance-selling-for-businesses

    Another useful guide: http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/distance-selling-regulations

The DSR apply throughout the EU, not just in the UK.

For goods sold in the UK the Sale of Goods Act also applies to all consumer purchases. There may of course be some disagreement between the buyer and seller as to what consittutes "merchantable quality" and "fit for purpose". If agreement cannot be reached then the final stage can be a small claim in the County Court, something that is both easy and simple for a claim for a fixed amount of money. https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/web/mcol/welcome This is one of the reasons why the company must be identifiable in an online sale. The buyer must be able, in the unfortuante case where this is necessary, be able to serve a legal notice. Unlike buying in a shop where the place of business is, by definition, known to the customer.

Other countries such as the USA wil have their own laws which are likely to differ from the UK and EU.

Thanks, but we have not had any problems or complaints in the past about our terms and conditions, we have contact by address email and and phone number all of which have been checked and ok'd by the powers that be.

  4. No, they haven't gone bust. They're just slow at work and have poor customer service.

Also, I would not recommend you to be honest. Your prices are not worth your products. (Sorry).

Can I ask if you have purchased from us before to make such a sweeping statement, you have to admit "if" our products are not worth the money why are we still in business 18 years down the line, having sailed through a majoy recession as well, think that speaks volumes really.!! After all as a small snap shot 850 customers can't all be wrong with leaving 1st class feedback from our Ebay shop as well. Like most things in life you get what you pay for and we are certainly not expensive when it comes to UK fetish footwear, and lets face it how many in the UK are still left.

  5. I normally don't buy any footwear without first trying out the fit.  I do struggle to find anything I can fit into, but I'm kind of right on the edge of what's available in shops.  When it comes to boots, this has not been doable.

In looking for knee high, 5+ inch stiletto heeled, genuine leather boots that fit snuggly around the calves, my choices seem to be limited.  When you add that I really don't want to spend too much, the only option I've seen that fits my requirements is the Domina 2020 by Pleaser.

Can anyone here tell me about the sizing, toebox size, leather quality, or any other details that might be helpful.

    Thanks a bunch...

Hi there, perhaps we could be of help please go check out our online store for the full range of "real" matt and patent leathers we have on offer... Skyscrapers

  6. Thank you for the invite to your site. I have checked your site in the past, and think that you have a wonderful selection. Unfortunately, most of your shoes are out of our price range at this point in time. Hopefully in the future I can afford to buy a pair or two for my wife.

Thanks for your comments and compliments, you may like to know we have a Spring Sale running till the end of March with 20% OFF all orders.

  7. It's been a while since I visited their website, but I can not seem to bring it up anymore. Also, I can not seem other references to it being closed either. I was hoping someone here would know what happened to them.

Please come check us out for all your fetish footwear, we cater for most things in high heels.

  9. Good evening and a happy new year.

After 4,5 months I received the shoes without any notifaction in advance.

The entire transaction is one big disappointment.

Personally I do not recommend them, because

    - they just ignore E-Mails,

    - their phone is blocked most of the day,

    - the shoes are faulty finally. The measurements differ than ordered (4cm). The seams and the texture of the leather are different than displayed on the product images.

I'm really curious about my inquiry concerning the faults ......

Hi there, can I ask what company it is you are reffering to where you bought these heels.

  10. ...And your point is?

My point is, most of the footwear which is bought these days is cheap foreign crap, being passed off as top grade footwear, at least 90% of UK footwear (if you can get it) is top quality and made from decent leathers, as others have said also lets buy British.!

Got the boots, so pretty quick considering they had to go through customs/etc. You might want to adjust the text from the written portion of the ebay description to match the "exact heel height" part. Although at 4.5" the heels are easy to walk in and will probably get more use then a 5.5" might have. The footbed shape seems to fit well, and the only issue I seem to have is where the leather of the toe area meets the leather of the side of the foot. The seam seems to hit a spot on my little toe, but that might just be my feet, and I am curious if it sorts itself out in time.

Not unhappy at this time, am looking forward to getting use out these :)

Thanks for the comments you have made, I presume you did buy them from us (Skyscrapers) and pleased to read you got them quickly, with us using Royal Mail International sign for we find they go through customs pretty quickly, we hope you will use us again at some point.

  11. Sorry, I can't see anything without becoming a member. Therefore I won't be viewing the site nor buying anything.

When we go into a shop, they don't ask us for our name and address before they allow us through the door do they?

This is very bizarre and damage their business, you can browse through our online store for free and even when buying you can checkout as a guest rather than making an account, as you say on the high street shops are free to go into.

  12. I once saw a girl dressed head to toe in red with a pair of knee length stilettos of around 4.5".

I to have seen a female in London riding a motor bike in a leather catsuit and leather thigh boots with 4.5" heels, not to sure how safe that is though/

  13. The shank is normally riveted to the Insole and if one of the rivets comes adrift they will squeak. They are unrepairable without taking the sole off and re-riveting.

This is quite correct the only way to repair is to completely strip the shoe/boot down.

  14. Giving Skyscrapers a shot, will post a review soon after my boots show up :)

Thanks for giving us a try, I'm sure you will not be dissapointed. I can assure you that all our footwear is being made by Leatherworks and if you check our website you will see all the colours and styles that are available, yes they have had lots of problems in the past but I now get my orders made within 5 weeks and I can contact them everyday if I need to.

Well, I can say they have never ripped me off and always responded to my mails. Wouldn't have mind though to have known that they had changed suppliers from their Leatherworks replacement (which I quite liked and now suspect was Burlesque Blue) back to Leatherworks (sort off).

If you want Leatherworks footwear then check out our website its all made by them.

  15. Good afternoon.

I have a question concerning Fabulously Fetish. Do their shoes come with a special designed box (like Di Marni, R&Renzi) or do their shoes come without any box?

    Regards

PS: What would you pay for Jean Gaborit Emanuelle overknee boots?

They come in a plain white box.

    Rule Brittania? ;-)

Seriously though, different styles, feels. I think Gianrico Mori make better looking shoes, but if you want to walk all day in them I'd pick Leatherworks.

We have sold Leatherworks shoes for years and thats the feedback we get, Leatherworks footwear can be worn all day if you are wanting to.

Also we are giving 20% off all orders till the end of November from our online store.

  16. Have you tried the Gianrico More Store on ebay?  They have really high leather boots, some of them are almost to the crotch.  I bought a pair of patent thigh high boots with 7 inch heels.  They are extremely well made and feel great.  They sell all types of really high boots with platform and high heels.

Yes but they are not made in the UK like Leatherworks footwear is.

  17. Hows this working? I wouldnt mind a few more pairs of Leatherworks heels!!

Leatherworks went bust, but some of the staff who work there have decided to go on their own and make for a couple of retails such as myself (Sky-scrapers) check our online store for all the styles, clours etc that we have made for us. Thanks

  18. I have also been trying to get through to Leatherworks of London to order some boots, have sent emails and phoned and got no reply.

I had from them a pair of P5B07-7 thigh boots in black leather 7" heel and 2" platform they are actually nearly crotch high at about 76cm long.

What i really wanted was another pair in white leather in same style, if they have now gone bust doe anyone know of another boot maker or give me any other suggestions on what to buy.

Need to be as high as possible 7 or 8 inch heels with a platform no ballets, would prefer matt white but accept patent and as long as possible on the leg.

Something like the xtreme 3010 or taboo 3000 would probably be ok but can not seem to get those here in the UK. Would prefer to buy something here just incase i need to send them back for sizing etc.

    Need a size uk9.

    Many thanks.

P.S. Leatherworks pull your finger out you have some willing buyers on this site!!

Yes it is true Leatherworks have gone bust but several of the workforce set up again and now make exclusively for me and only me so all the styles from before can still be made using the finest materials and the same quality workmanship so if you want to check me out please just ask away.

post-8618-0-14917200-1337031691_thumb.jpI'm also looking for a K5BO7 black patent thigh boots (size uk9.5 to uk10) from leatherworks of London (also called Y1 by Skyscrapers ebay seller).

both sky-scrapers.co.uk and laszivo.de do not offer anymore boots from leatherworks of London except from last stock the still have.

even good leather Italian boots do not look like those and the feeling of the foot is quite different in those fairly old fashion shape short pointed toes soles from leatherworks of London.

it's a pity and should anyone whish to attempt starting again leatherworks of London business, then, I would be welcome by boot lovers !...

We are able to have made any of the styles that Leatherworks used to do, exactly the same as before.
