That’s great, the only reason I don’t wear skirts is because i don’t think I look good in one, much prefer skinny jeans with long boots over them, nothing but respect for men who do though, if only i was a little taller and much slimmer

Anyone can wear a skirt, whether you are male or female! The trick is finding which styles you like and could work for you. High heels work very well with skirts, and if you don't like showing your legs, wear boots and/or longer skirts, which is what I do! I personally love wearing long straight / A line skirts but there is also nothing wrong with shorter skirts as well. You just need to try some on (with heels) and you might be surprised how much you like the look. Start with a denim skirt. Skirts feel awesome and they are so comfortable. Once a man discovers skirts, he will never give them up!

  2. Hi

i wear skirts and heels as a guy, I have absolutely no interest in looking like a woman. I firmly believe in men’s right to wear whatever they want and by openly dressing as I please, I am helping in my own small way break the social conformity that is totally artificial. Plus it feels amazing to wear a lovely skirt and heels when going about my business!

  3. Been a long time since I posted on here. I thought i'd share a new purchase: bought myself a pair of knee high boots from Giaro:

    https://www.giarohighheels.com/cameron-black-profile-knee-boots-matte.html

Very high stiletto heels (17 cm!) but the amazing thing about them is how comfortable and stable they are. The tread sole makes all the difference and gives confidence to every step and I very much enjoy wearing them with skirts (in public). To all of you looking for sexy shoes and boots, check out Giaro , they sell up to size 46! Although not real leather, the quality of their heels are top notch.

  4. Thanks for your advice. Maybe you are right, I should just go with wearing a shortish skirt (i like skirts, just never really considered actively wearing them) given the extremeness of the boots! I also quite like the poncho idea, which combined with leather leggings, could be quite a killer look.

  5. Hello everyone,

I joined this forum a few years ago, but never posted anything.

I've been wearing heels on and off in public over the last 15 years or so, and its always been boots with otherwise what would be considered to be "mens clothes". I've mainly worn block heels, and on a few occasions i've worn stilettos. Reflecting on it lately, I realised that I really love wearing a high stiletto heel, and that I now want to do it more. It's the total package, the look, the thinness of the heel and the intoxicating sound of them clicking when walking! I've just bought a pair of these on eBay (1969 italia boutique) and waiting on them being delivered:

I personally think they are utterly gorgeous, but they are very extreme boots in terms of heel height (17cm) and in length. They are my first pair of crotch boots and it does lead me to think, what the hell do I wear with them? I don't want to go down the road of wearing a dress or a skirt, so I was thinking on either skinny jeans with a nice shirt and a leather coat, or a long wooly jumper (almost would qualify as a dress when you think about it, go figure!) with plain or leather leggings. The boots are so long that I suspect the jumper will cover the tops of the boots. I am of the mind that I want to "show them off", as I don't want to make any attempt to conceal that I am wearing a pair of sky high heels.

I'd be interested to hear what anybody thinks, or can provide advice from similar experiences.

    Thanks

  6. Normal environmental radiation is just that, normal.

Define "normal radiation"? It is a well known and documented scientific fact that there are areas of the world that have very high levels of background radiation, and the best example I can think of is Ramsar in Iran, where some residents are exposed to over 6 mSv a year which is 4 times the average background level worldwide (there are also areas of the UK, such as Cornwall that have very high background radiation levels) and far in excess of doses that were present in Tokyo at the worst period after Fukushima. Guess what? There does not appear to be any statistical evidence to suggest that these people (in Iran) are getting sick from exposure to such levels of radiation! This is because the linear no threshold model of radiation that postulates that the risk rises linearly with dose at a rate of 5% per Sv is now in the process of being slowly discredited, and there is some suggestions appearing from recent research that exposure of up to 100 mSv a year will not have harmful effects. The other group of people that are worthy of some study are cabin crew in airlines, since it is not widely documented that travelling by air exposes you to quite a lot of cosmic radiation, i.e. on a transatlantic flight you will receive on average a dose of about 6.5 microSv/hr. Also, I dispute your point about radiation levels in Tokyo, which are actually less than New York City. As usual, with anything nuclear, paranoia rules, and misinformation is spread, particularly given that 20,000 people died tragically as a result of the earthquake/tsunami, but not one person died from the accident at the power station! I also hope you don't live anywhere near a coal fired power station, as they actually emit more radioactivity than a nuclear power station does under normal operation......

  7. Guys, I can put you out of your misery, as I own a pair of the very boots you are talking about. I bought a pair of Size 9's (UK size) from soletrader.co.uk, and they are most definitely EU 42's which I guess will be equivalent to US 11!!! They fit beautifully, amazing quality and are such a power trip to wear, being so super high. I love them. The (hidden) heels on my boots are a full 7 inches high, but incredibly they are very comfortable. I've walked around town in them and around the supermarket and I am amazed at how they don't hurt. Mind you, the thick platform does help.

  8. Thanks Platformman,

Glad you posted your story and congratulations on getting back in to heeling.

I saw those Jeffrey Campbell ones before too, I have lower pair I use with zipper on back

which I wear, he has been getting some good boots recently.

Keep on going with the heeling, thanks for sharing!

Interesting to hear from someone else that wears Jeffrey Campbells. I am very impressed with the quality of the boots, and the overall level of comfort too. Compared to the heels I used to wear (which were relatively cheap), the Damsel boots feel like slippers and are so easy to walk in! But what a power trip they are when I have them on, they make me feel invincible when I wear them.

  9. Hello everyone, I've been following this forum for a while and thought it was about time that I posted! Here is my story for anyone who is interested. I remember the first day in my life quite clearly when I became fascinated with high heels. I was about 11 or 12 years old, can't quite remember and I was on my way to school when I clocked a girl wearing a pair of stilettos. I could not believe how sexy they looked, and I instantly new that I HAD to wear a pair, even though I knew fine well that according to society "rules", only girls could do such things. I went down the obvious route of trying my mothers shoes in secret, but unluckily for me, my mother had very small feet and my feet at that age were already bigger than hers. I did somehow manage to squeeze into a pair of her knee high boots one day when they wear out and man what a feeling that was even though they hurt because they were too small! After that, I spent many frustrated years at home living with my parents and lusting after my own HHs. Fast forward to my mid 20s when I finally left home……after I had been living on my own for a few months I suddenly realised what was missing in my life - high heels! I naively ordered myself a pair of 6" black stiletto courts (with no platform) and expected to able to walk in them! Ha, first time I slipped them on and tried to walk in them I nearly fell flat on my face. But over the coming weeks and months, I actually got the hang of them and could walk quite confidently around the house for reasonable periods of time. They were exhilarating to wear and I knew that this was a first step along a journey. Around this time (1999) I also discovered a few websites devoted to high heels, including "jennies high heels" which was a legendary website with lots of good information. My desire to wear HHs in public was very strong and I knew that 6" stilettos wear not exactly practical street wear (I didn't exactly see women wearing them) and I knew I needed something far more practical and suitable. Fortunately, around this time, block heel platforms were in fashion, and I absolutely adore platforms, hence I made a trip to Manchester to buy myself a pair of high heeled boots! I was so excited, and the girl in the shop was so cool about it, and I tried on a few pairs until I settled on a pair of 4.25" block heel boots. Not exactly outrageous but man they felt so good and I had absolutely no qualms about wearing them in public! As so many people have remarked on here, nobody cared much and this initial purchase was followed quickly by more including a couple of pairs of 5" platform ankle boots and a pair of 5" knee highs. What was fantastic was to walk into a shoe shop wearing high heeled boots to try on more, what a buzz! So I tended to spend my weekend in heels and this continued until I met my current wife. She all found it a bit odd, but didn't disapprove, although I never went out with heels on with her since she doesn't wear heels herself. So, my heel wearing kind of disappeared by its own accord. For various reasons, it never really revived itself until recently, and I have now started to get back into it, albeit slowly. Found these incredible super high wedge boots just before christmas by Jeffrey Campbell and I am addicted to them: http://www.soletrader.co.uk/Jeffrey-Campbell-Damsel-Spike-Boots/pid-JCDAMSLB I've never worn wedges before, but I have to say I love the edgy style, and that they are super comfortable as well (which for 7" heels is remarkable). These are my current favourite boots. I also enjoy cowboy boots as well with a highish heel and own a couple of pairs. Not into shoes, i've always stuck to boots. I also always wear bog standard male clothes, and make no attempt to hide my heels. Anyway, I hope someone enjoyed reading this and encouraged someone else to try heeling. It is a liberating experience, and as has been said 1000 times before, NO ONE CARES! Best wishes to you all
