  1. There is nothing like putting on a pair of 6 inch stiletto's and spending the day in them!

I bought a pair of 6.5 inch heels a while ago that I'm now getting to the same point with; that I can wear them all day doing almost anything.

I can now wear my 6 inch heels permanently (I tried it for a week with them locked on because my partner thought I couldn't handle it).

  2. I have to agree with you Histietto. I have no more difficulty driving in heels than in flats, and I drive a 5 speed manual.

The only problem that I usually have with driving in heels is that, because I wear stilettos almost everywhere (and as such have steel heels put on any that I get), I go through car mats with frightening regularity as I keep wearing holes in them with the heels.

To answer the original question, I am full femme mostly. At least, I am when I can be bothered to shave! I couldn't care less about what people think of me and have had quite a few comments, both positive (normally from women) and negative (normally form men around 20 -25). I find that the thing that disarms people most when they do their best guppy fish impression is to smile at them and tell them that it's rude to stare!

  3. I try to be as feminine as possible at all times. I have more "women's" clothes than "men's" and feel far better about myself when I am dressed more effeminately. On the other hand, I work in a school as the IT Tech, and I don't think that the parents would be very forgiving if little Johnny turned around and told them that there was a TV working at the school. I am currently getting away with a pair of 4" boots that look fairly androgynous with "women's" boot cut jeans (most of the staff haven't noticed, those that have already knew, so I may see how far I can push it before someone says something).

  4. I'm a UK 9 so am just outside of the normal range (everything seems to stop at an 8). I would love to have smaller feet for 2 reasons though: 1. so that I would have a better choice 2. more importantly, to me at least, is that if I had shorter feet, then I wouldn't have to struggle to find 7" heels to get the arch that I want because I could achieve that effect with a 5" heel. (my partner is very lucky and has UK 4 feet and the arch that I get in 6.5" is about the same as a 4" in her size)

  5. I am trying to bring up my son (currently 5) with as open a mind as I can. I would never try to encourage a specific behavior or dress sense but to teach him that whatever he wants to do (within reason, obviously) I would support him. I am TV and have the full support of my partner and we have discussed this at length with the same outcome. He already knows that it is not normal for a man to dress in women's clothes and that doing so can cause adverse reactions, and yes, some people really do heckle in front of my son. (hope that wasn't too much of an unintelligible ramble!)

  6. I much prefer heels over about 4". Not due to the tendons shortening, but, as Sleekheels said, heels lower than that tend to look horrible (personal preference, of course). I have a nice 4", fairly androgynous pair that I use for work and slip on 6" or 7" whenever I can. I don't like flats but I'd rather a nice pair of ballet pumps than 2" heels.

  7. I always try them on on the store. There's no point buying if you're going to guess at weather or not they'll fit. I've had some really poorly fitting heels that were bought over the internet, so would much prefer to go to a shop where I can try them. Unfortunately, most of the heels I like to wear, 6-7 inch platformless stilettos, can't be bought from any shops that are even vaguely close to me.
