thanks heelfan and dr shoe for spending a lovely day with me. it has been quite headache for me; non-stop travelling for 2 weeks. sitting in london airport now; going back to shanghai. I happen to visit Southern England in a short notice and will have a weekend free on Dec 16,17. I know it's a short notice, so I dont want to call for a heel meet; but still just want to ask what is a good place for shopping for large size boots(us11) in London. By the way, what's a good thing to do in or around London? Definitely, I will check out Bristish Museum for 1 day. Still got another day to kill. Looking forward to hear from you. happy heeling!

Thanks kneehighs for meeting up at the last mintue. This is a last minute trip for me to visit NYC. It's so much fun to people watch the trendy crowd and their shoes (mostly stilleto's)! Not to mention we were wearing them too. Will definite go clubing in heels next time too. Now that i have street heeled in new york and Bristol. Are there enough people in Asia for a heely meeting? Next time, I will try to post earlier to call another NYC heel meet.

I would vote for New York and London. Seems so many girls are in heels and "anything goes" attitude helps too. It might be biased because I stayed more time in NYC than any other cities; but it's also the only city i have seen other guys in heels under normal men's cloths. Of course, we dont count the heeling meeting organized by this website.

I have relocated to Shanghai for about a year now. Surprisingly, the whole idea about stereotyping has not yet caught up in that part of the world. I have seen a few girls wearing thigh boot's in the street. And yes, they are walking in them. Cars are still a luxury for most people; most people use mass transit; involved fair amount of walking, in spiky heels no less, for the girls. No one(i guess the western media) has made a big enough influence as far as what to wear and what is fashionable. Fashion sense are all over the place. Dont think I have seen any girl wear black fishnet stockings, knee high boots and miniskirt to office in the US; but they do here. And no, i am not complaining. I just got back home, New York last week. Went to a few shoe shops, I am surpised to find out that a couple regular shoe shop carry thigh boots(okay, or over-the-knee boot); made by NineWest and Steven Madden(not sure). Did I missed another fashion trend about thigh boots while I am away? Kent

Too bad, I won't be in town for the heel meet. I am stationed outside of US most time of the year. But please go for it! It will be great to meet others who shared the same passion. I am glad I join the brits for last Sept in Bristol.

Sorry for the late reply... yes I know it's been a few months since the meeting. It was the first time for me to visit such a gathering. It almost feel surreal to see so many guys in heels. Thanks everyone, I enjoyed the time in the town and famous English tea! Let's see we can organize something in the US. I should be back in NYC for a couple weeks in early Feb.

Would have love to join you guys to havea gathering in NYC. It's about time. Unfortunately, I am on indefinite exile in Shanghai, China. Will post next time I go back home.

A last minute business trip will bring me to London during the week. I'll definitely want to join you guys if time permits. Look out for an early 30s, 5'10 Chinese guy in heels.

Gary, I guess I am not the only one who walks around in heels in WalMart. They do have some large size women's shoes and got enough space to walk around and buy grocery.

kneehighs, Your outfit will blend in very well in E. Village. Probably too well that people might not even notice; given that there are so many *eccentric* people in the neighbourhood. Joking aside, I'm curious to see what you'll find out. Let us know how it goes.

There is at least one bad thing I discover after wearing heels for a couple years. I used to play soccer but now when I kick the ball, my ankle hurts like hell. I only wear heels part time, 3-4 inches. I guess must be after the arch developed, making my ankle too sensitive. A couple times I almost twisted my ankles, after jumping in the air; somehow, my feet was trying to land as if i was wearing high heels. Oops, sneaker has no heels! That's how i almost twisted my ankles. I think i might have learn the sport all over again.

I noticed that too but I'd say there are not a lot of low rise/flare jeans out in stores. I did bought a pair myself. I thought flare jeans go very nicely with heeled boots. kent

[This might be a bit off topic.] Surprisingly, I bumped into the same highheeled girl tonight at a party. It must have been 6-7 months since I last seen her. My question: Is it possible for a guy and a girl being "just friends" after first dated? I do want to keep in touch with her. There are so few girls who like wear heels; at least among the people I met. However, I dont want to send the wrong message or hurt her if she misunderstood me pursuing her; especially, from what I can gather, she's still single and actively looking. Oh well.. I guess you married couple dont have this problem. I think i have some idea as to what to do but just curious from a girl's perspective, how would you think or feel about it?

I did ask a girl out once for a date just because I saw her wearing high heels. She said she walks funny in flats. All her shoes are heeled. But I haven't keep in touch with her since the first date. It's nice to meet someone into heels but seriously I realized I should have dated the person; not her shoes.
