I like my boots laced tight for the ankle support. The toe box area isn't as tight as because my bboots are 1 size too large I think. I use Leo's gel pads with some packaging padding over the tops of my toes for extra padding. The toes are held snugg but not tight enough to cause them to go numb. I can wiggle my toes. I have tried making the toe box very tight but found it isn't needed, snugg is fine. Dr Who 3
