These strappy all leather mirrored 5” sandals are my favorites, I’ve had them for years and they just keep getting better with age. I have always loved all leather heels and most of my collection now have leather uppers, lining and soles. Unfortunately I don’t have the budget to buy designer labels but there are still a few shoemakers around providing quality made shoes at a reasonable price but few and far between. From a fashion viewpoint I’m a firm believer that if you feel good wearing heels you look good and for me there is no feeling comparable to wearing all leather shoes and boots. It’s a subject I’ve mentioned before but seems rarely discussed in the forums. I don’t wear heels outdoors so the leather soles don’t present a problem. I’d be really interested to hear any opinions on the subject.
  2. I

I believe that fashion is what suits the individual regardless of what the current fashion is. BTW: Please use a bigger font.

Firstly apologies for the small font. As far as your take on "fashion" I'm afraid I must disagree. Fashion by definition is the prevailing style. Men wearing heels may occasionally be considered fashionable but generally has nothing to do with current trends in female footwear. I have no problem with what others think of my preferences. In my opinion individuality is contrary to fashion but am glad that the fashion world has once again embraced a style that I loved. I am now able to easily buy heels to compliment my collection which were for so many years very hard to come by and by doing so express my individuality which I am sure would be regarded by many as ridicules and offensive and certainly by no stretch of the imagination fashionable. Fabulous and uplifting, yes.
  3. I just read a blog post on white stilettos becoming fashionable again.

    http://www.onlystiletto.com/2013/02/white-stilettos-comeback.html

They have always held a special place in my heart as the late 80’s was when I accepted that wearing heels was an important and undeniable part of my life. The whole power dressing thing that was later considered naff, was for me the turning point. The sight of gorgeous women strutting around in heels every time you turned on the TV or read a magazine did it for me. I am now the proud owner and wearer of many pairs of stilettos but never did manage to get a white pair. My next purchases are definitely going to be white pumps and sandals, might even get a hand bag to dance around.

  4. I have always worn stockings with heels, mainly black lacy top hold ups but occasionally white especially with some of my red heels. I recently bought some white ankle socks for experimentation, thinking that they would probably look ridiculous with most of my heels and they probably do but I have developed a fondness for them. I don’t wear them too often but have noticed that when I buy a new pair of heels I always check out what they look like and have a couple of pairs that I will always wear with my socks (5” black stiletto oxfords bizarrely enough for instance).

I must say it has added some unexpected spice.

  5. pumpcat, Why yes my friend we ae all so turned by wearing heels that someone started this website a decade ago.....and the conversation is still going! The turn-on could be sexual, psychological, or just a desire to wear stylish things more commonly linked to women. Whatever it is more men than ever before are realizing the joys associated with high heels and all that goes with them. HappyinHeels

Well said. The joy of wearing heels is special for men in many different ways. No need for too much analysis, I get turned on wearing heels and lead a happy, healthy, fulfilled and fun life. High heels are in the eye of the beholder, so fellow heel lovers ,enjoy and celebrate your passion.

So many heels, so little time.

  6. I was checking the response to a post I made http://www.hhplace.o...e-of-leather/ and was surprised to find that the proprietors Rosa where I made my purchase “did not approve of any male heel wearing”.

I have been looking through posts related to this attitude and they all seem to be focused on the general public/media take on the issue. Personally I have found that designers and the fashion community are on the contrary the driving force for tolerance and innovation and are more concerned with creating beautiful footwear to lift the spirit of the wearer and be appreciated by all, gender is rarely mentioned.

I’m sure all male members of HHPlace who enjoy wearing heels have struggled with mainstream prejudice, trying to explain to their partners, the fear of being found out and outcast etc.

Thankfully there are communities like this that provide an invaluable resource for the sharing of experiences and intelligent discussion on the subject and this post is not intended as a criticism of the proprietors of Rosa, quite the opposite, I applaud them for their outstanding footwear collections and thank them for (unintentionally) enriching my life.

I am lucky to have long since come to terms with my preferences and appreciate and enjoy the extra dimension it has added to my life. To quote Anthony Hoppkins “ it is none of my business what other people say or think of me.

  7. how nice where the assistants to when you buying new pairs and what are there faces like when they no they are for you :penitent:

Like I said I have only had good experiences, maybe just lucky. Now being older I don't embarass easily and would bre more interested in my new heels than the assistants face.
  8. Hi, I'm going to be in Thailand (Pattaya) for the next couple of months and would like to connect with guys with a passion for heels. I have female partner so discresion a must. I have many pairs (mostly 5") and am very open minded. Only pet hate is platforms.

  9. After reading an earlier post about trying on heels in the store it brings back memories of buying my first pair many years ago, pair of black pointed toe 4" stilletoes. I was terrified as I was desperatetly trying to make excuses to the assistant about them being for my girlfriend and would it be OK to retutrn if they did not fit her. She obviously knew they were for me and I will always remember how she played along and put me at ease and the thrill I felt at not being ridiculed. I must admit I do most of my heel shopping online now for convinience and I am confident about the fit, but I still occasionally buy a pair from a store and find the experience very uplifting and exciting (although I have never tried a pair on in store). I am convincinced that the staff in shoe stores have a love of heels that transpires gender and I have personally only received a very enjoyable shopping experience.

  10. Very important and interesting topic, especially when starting out. Reading throught the posts I'm glad to hear that others experienced "higher the better". In my case before I owned a pair of heels the fetish aspect was definitely in the fore. The sight of a woman in heels exited me and the higher the better. Now a lot older and slightly more wiser I have developed and accepted my own personal style which is based on my perception of the beauty and wearing of the shoe. Height is still a factor, I could not wear heels less than 4", but only because I personally do not find them aesthetically pleasing. 5" is my perfect height. The main thing for me is enjoy wearing the heels that I love. If you are still undecided, keep experimenting, you may never make up your mind but you will have a hell of a time trying.

  11. I allways when possible wear only all leather heels. These boots are Italian hand made 6" heel knee highs from Rosa with all leather lining and sole. The heel is leather coated steel. I have owned the for 3 years and they still give me the same pleasure strutting today as the first tentative steps I took in them. This is my first photo post. xxx boots1
