Perhaps I am wearing mine totally wrongly - but my feet fit snugly and when laced up , I have no weight specifically on my toes , the weight seems to be on the sides of my feet. Am I doing it all wrong ?
-
I think they are overpriced by about $130. I am not a fan of platforms at all , the more slender the heels the better BUT as others have said ''its all about personal choice''
-
Its all relative Fred - to what your used to. I think the fact that I am almost continually in heels helps and from 5inch to 6inch is not that much. Having said that my 7 inch scream heels , I can't walk in yet , and ballet boots are actually easier for me than the scream heels. This forum is not the right place to discuss fully but if you want to know more send me a private message including some more about your interests if you want. Debbie xx

Love Heels - HaHa - I will worry about that problem later. Much more important to find where I can get them !!!! xx

Sorry needs to be a 'Cadburys Flake' - no contest

I am sure there have been Leo - but there again they wouldn't be in a position to tell us all about it would they.

A BMW M3 Convertable - perhaps the wrong choice for the UK with our weather.

Sangue16 - No huge babe , my work heels are 5 inch , get more adventurous for parties and weekends. Most of my work clothes are quite fitted so a trouser suit would need that height heel , less important with the skirts though. I'm only 5'5" but have one less thing to do than you , I don't have children.

Understand your idea Trolldeg as I am not a fan of platforms either but keeping the heel height would make walking a real challenge.
Could always get a cheaper alternative at www.fabulouslyfetish.com check out the Fallon heel.

Sorry forgot to say Hi when i joined.
I am from around London and am very open minded and will chat to anyone about heels.
I wear heels for work all the time , sadly with prim and proper business suits but wear higher heels when I let my hair down at weekends.
I posted this picture from this site and if anyone knows where to get this heel from - please let me know.

Guys who need to wear heels , rather than being forced to , need to be selective. OK the obvious would be a court shoe but consider going for backless or sandals as in many cases you can wear a smaller size. Big feet are not really feminine

Yes I liked the idea of the Stilleto Trap and it was well written albeit with tongue in cheek. I was surprised that the wearer was so challenged with the small increase in heels height. Perhaps if she had been locked in ballet boots , it would have been more interesting

Heels to me are part of my everyday clothing - like the last thing I put on b4 leaving home in the morning. However my Scream Heels (7 inch heels ) do have some effect , mainly because they are used only in the bedroom at the moment - and we all knows what happens there. What might happen if I manage to learn to walk properly in them ?

I replied yes to the poll but wouldn't get cheap knock offs. The idea that a red sole can make you feel better is silly. Lets get real here , a Louboutin shoe is unique , same a Gucci and many others but we can't afford them in the colours we need every year.
-
I see from the poll that over 60 % of you guys can wear 5 inch heels or lower. Why do you want us girls to wear higher than that ? You have to remember our feet are so much smaller so a 6 inch heel to us is like an 8 inch heels to many guys in steepness. More practice required to keep up. xx

Jo - Those heels are so sexy - powder coated steel. Someone must know where they can be bought. They say this is pink but looks purple - my favourite colour.
-
I dont actually own any but have worn them for fun. They are actually more comfortable than you think , but totally different from normal shoes/boots with the heels removed , they are far more structured than that. One tip is to stay on your toes , because when you start trying to take the strain off your calves it makes you loose poise and you will never walk well in them again. Sit down if you need some relief

Height v Style. Its such a shame that you can't do both. Like you can buy shoes in different sizes but they don't seem to sell the one you want in all the heel heights. That only seems to work wth black patent courts. Overall I tend to go for the tall spikey heel first then chose the style
-
Can only wear a 6 inch heel comfortably for parties. Tend to wear 5 inch for work because of train journeys and loads of walking and ups and downs during the day. I do own ballet boots which are not as bad as people say but my Scream Heels ( 7 inch ) have to be kept to the bedroom for now.
-
With my spikiest heels I have to make sure I dont put weight on my heel on escalators but I suppose wet cobbles are the scariest in any heel. Cobbles make the sole slip , so its not just the heel height - but hey its worth the sacrifice for fashion.
-
I find it difficult to get spiky heels these days without a platform , so tend to use various so called ''fetish'' sites for heels over 4 inches. I can walk in really high heels but still feel like a carthorse in platforms , that is just a personal observation.
-
Sorry didn't do the poll as I'm 5'5". I am therefore able to wear any height of heel and in most cases am not taller than my partners.
-
I am going for the middle ground. I prefer a subtle point as they seem to fit my feet best and are more comfortable to wear than the rounded toe. Most of us have small feet and we don't want to exagerate them with some of these long toe boxes.
-
I wear 5 inch heels for work all the time and party in 6 inch heels and can wear Ballet Heels for a short time ( no more than 6 hours continually standing/walking though ). There seems to a lot of guys on the site who can wear heels as well but you need to understand that with me being a size 5 (uk) the heels will be steeper than yours.
Tendon shortening surgery

This on its own is quite a strange thread. I know the opposite actually happens when long time high heels wearers have needed surgery when they get older to be able to wear lower heels or flats. We as high heel wearers all know the risks we take but if the post relates to be more being forced to wear high heels , get some with padlocks , far safer.
