  1. ManinPumps,

When I finally decided to get them, they were on clearance.  I got them in 11, that was the largest size they had.  They were a little tight at first, especially the right one, I've kept stretchers in them since I bought them and they are coming along nicely.  The longest I've worn them is 4 hrs +, the heels are a little loud.....not a worry.

  2. Miroseplant  -  Happy third.  You picked a good pair to start the three years with.  Many years ago I also got a pair of Sofft mules.

They are very comfortable and good quality.  They should give you many more years of enjoyment.

HappyinHeels, could you tell me the name of the shoe in your avitar.  I have admired them for quite while.  Do you know if they would still be available?

    Thanks,

    Sparky088

....and remember, your mileage may very.....

  3. They are a great looking shoe, the outline and the chorme heel and all. I've got a few with the heel set all the way back like these, they seem to 'slap' when I walk, can't get a comfortable gait. My other heels or even boots seem to have a kind of a 'rolling gait' - smooth, with the heel set back like these, it's abrupt, the front slaps down. Have you noticed anything like this??

  4. Perfect timing...

..... political mud fights... This place seems to be inhabited by quite a few gun loving right wingers with a shoe fetish... Not my scene!

    Over and out...

    Ben

And here I thought that I was the only "gun tote'n shoe fetishist" 'round here.......Guess I missed the others. My (big) guns, like my (big) high heeled shoes, have never hurt anyone. But get in my way......and it will be different story, don't let the white beard fool yeah.

Now that I've retired, I've got all the time in the world for the guns and heels, not usually at the same time though.

  5. Just checked them out, unfortunately they are currently out of my size, 11.

Jkrenzer you might check again, I just checked and all colours had sizes up to 11.

Melrosplant, if you write a review of them on Zappos, mention that you are a male heel warer, I always do just to let them know that there are men that like heels too.

  6. I just picked up a pair of these ankle boots. They're pretty high but really comfortable.

Good looking boots, but question though. Do you notice how much different they "walk" than other heels??

I have a few pairs of pumps & boots with the straight heel and they seem to 'slap' when I walk, I've tried many

different styles of stride and they seem to always slap down. Just can't get a comfortable 'rolling' gait.......

    Just wondering??

Something else to add, Aldo seems to have some good sales going on - great chance to get some killer (sorry for the pun)

    heels.......

  7. Just for fun. I adjusted the brightness and contrast a bit. I hope you don't mind.

Not at all, gary - thankyou! I did take some brighter snaps earlier, along with other shoes I have bought in the past few weeks - those to follow when I'm more awake and have time to crop them lol

With all the improvements in the pictures, it just make me want a pair of these that much more.

Just checked Office and they are no longer in stock, nothing on e-bay either.....Day late and dollar short.....

  8. Here are some that I've bought recently. The round toe are from JCP, Canyon Blue. Leather, 4" heel, lots of padding inside, good walking. The ones with the buckle, are Sketchers from Victoria's Secret, as are the leggings. Victoria's still has them on sale. They have about 3/4" platform side zip, comfortable 4" heel. The pointed toe ones are Laure from Ellie, 5" heel, stretch material and again comfortable.

  9. Hello Sparky,

I am wearing an identical pair without the zip decor. Had them a few months now and they are so comfy. Been out and about in them.

They are on You Tube, with me in them. Search for Neuveglise.

    3 Minutes of me.

    Muddypaws.

I didn't mention where these came from, they are http://www.spiegel.com/shop/product_single.aspx?style_id=40601272&index=1&gp_coll_id=5005&gp_cat_id=7000&nav_cat_id=13041&category_id=13042.

They have a feature that I've never seen before too, there is a small piece of elastic inside the back of the heel, I suppose that it is to prevent slippage, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I still get some "floop - floop" (as my heels slip in and out) if I don't keep good toe pressure while walking, otherwise they are very comfortable. They sell them up to size 11 US. I was afraid that they would be to small since I usually have to get 12's. But these are an ample 11.

  10. Yeah, my GF has challenged me too whenever I happen to be shoe shopping with her. Of course, I'd love her to get more high heels, but she always complains about how they hurt when she tries them on (she's a nurse & is used to wearing sneakers all day at work, so of course any heel will feel uncomfortable to her).

But yes, she has challenged me a couple of times -

I bring this up ONLY because of the business I'm in.....you really need to expect your "opponent" to be at least as smart as you..... By this I mean, you say "GF" this probably means she has been to your digs many times. Are you sure that she doesn't already know that you wear heels??? :) Maybe she is just baiting you and it is time to come "out of the closet".

    Anyway food for thought. :lmao:

  11. Thanks jwhite44 for the mention of Avenue. Looked at their site and they have a lot of good looking heels in boots, pumps and clogs. They have a store about 50 miles south of where I live here in the southwest. I'll be traveling there anyway after Christmas to go to Macy's, JCP, DSW and a few others for their sales. Am very upbeat about the outing!

  12. I had been watching these for a while and decided to go for it. I usually don't like platforms, but these caught my eye. Had them for about a week now and am not disappointed. Will also use these for my avatar . . . when I quite getting "file not uploaded" while ATTEMPTING edit my avatar.

  13. ShockQueen, Would like to have a pair of those but was wondering is the platform really 2"? With a 5" heel, only a 3" arch is hardly worth the effort, would hope for a 4+ arch at least. Thanks

  14. Hey PJ:

I travel to Canada a lot and often wondered what would happen if they found the usual 4 pairs of heels in my suitcase along with my wig - corset and thigh highs. Hope it never happens.

    Bern

I've taken to packing the biggest, nastiest look'n dildo right on top. When they open the case and see that, the search is usually really short.

I HATE others digging through my stuff, so I try and make it as uncomfortable for them as it is for me. Don't get me started on the DHS crap........it's all eye wash anyway! ! !

nuff said, keep your power dry and handy.....

  15. I too drive a stick shift five speed overdrive and I agree that driving in high heels is a rush. I wear 4" and 5" stiletto high heels when I drive and have never had a problem.

The other day I finally tried it with a pair of 4.5" Sketchers I've got. Only problem was getting in and out of the 4-Runner with them - had to push the seat all the way back and kept banging the heels on the running board. No problem with the clutch after the third of fourth push. Had to resort to sideways on the accelerator, not enough flex in the boots to keep leg straight.

Going to get lots more practice in the future though.
