  1. Hi Becky, As you know I visit the chat room as my work schedule allows. I enjoy visiting because the people are polite and there is mutual respect for all that visit. Wearers and admirers both male and female getting along and talking about all things human. Not just heels. Saturday eve (about 7pm Eastern Time USA) has been the usual chat time but adding other times would not be a bad idea in my opinion. I think the only improvement the chat room needs is more Becky... <wink> Dean By the way it was my Birthday on the tenth :bday: to me! I am now 36

  2. This might be of some interest to those in the USA or others that have access to this site (I don't know if they ship outside the USA). It is a skirt with an interesting pattern. I don't think you could wear flats with it either LOL It may not be your style buy it is unique to say the least.

  3. Great post Laurie, Hey everyone finds their own groove on the internet. You will find a comfortable pace for you just like most everyone else. I for one am glad you have a life offline or are at least trying to have one. To live for this stupid box is no life. Whatever you decide I am sure you will have thought it through and will be happy. Dean PS, Since I am a typical guy after all..... LETS SEE Some Pictures of the new shoes!!!! LOL. No pressure, do it when you can. How about tonight? LOL

  4. Hi Laurie, Great job on the report as usual. I think it is plain to see you need more sandals! Who knew it got so hot that far north. Hopefully soon it will cool or you will get more sandals! (wink) My next question is... Winter is right around the corner. Have you given any thought to boots yet? What style, color and such? I know you have no shoe budget most weeks so you may not be thinking that far ahead. AND no everyone I am not talking about hh boots in snow... Just cold weather. Dean

  5. From my exp. Here in the States many of the price tags are stickers inside the shoe. Right next to the brand name. Or they are on Tags held on with plastic "string". More expensive shoes usually have the price on shelf labels. Dean

  6. She looks like a cute little Deer stunned by some headlights. LOL Nice shoes Laurie good luck with them. Nice pictures too. I cant quite tell from the pictures but you might have better luck with the web cam (brighter images) if you can get the light in front of you. If not maybe turn the camera away from the windows tward the other side of the room? Maybe I am wrong since I cant see the entire room? Anyway thank you for posting those pictures. You can really see the difference the 1/2 inch makes. Dean

  7. "It's not the best time for me to write this entry, because I feel cloudy in my brain." Must be a blonde thing... <wink> "So black stockings and black patent pumps those first three days." Hard to beat such a classic style. "I did what I always want to do on a day off - I made bread." MMMM MMM yummy. What kind of bread? "The heels are starting to move. This means the back of the shoe at the heel is wearing out, so the sole is not stable there" A shame but a fact of life.. Been there myself "But I love the rain. The scent in the air is wonderful. It takes away the stale city air and replaces it with an earthy smell, something that says nature, purity, and comfort. So even if I have to save the heels for when I get to work, there is always something else to brighten the moment." I could not have put it better myself. Growing up in NYC I learned the same thing about the rain. "But as I walk along in the rain, watching a bird search for worms, and seeing the rain drops on some leaves so brilliantly green that life raidates from them, I cannot help but think that life is good" Are you sure your not writing a novel? Great post Laurie, Dean

  8. Laurie, I think you took our "sneaker" conversation a bit to seriously! LOL. Anyone know where to find some of the high wedge sneakers they sold in the 90's? So Laurie can still be above the crowd on Fridays? Haha. Honestly. At least you are a realist and can admit you wore what you wanted to and anyone who does not expect you to wear flats or sneakers from time to time as deemed necessary or beneficial is kidding themselves! Dean PS.. Laurie, I used the spellchecker just for you ...wink... <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: D-USA on 2002-06-04 16:24 ]</font>

  9. Laurie people notice your heels but may be afraid to look like they are staring.. I am very people aware and know what most of the people around me are doing and wearing. I do not think this is true of most people I do think that many find the time to notice differences like high heels. Especially men with their dull dressed cranky woman.. seems to be fairly common around here. BTW we have equal numbers of poorly dressed cranky men with nicly dressed women Dean
