I like heels, but flats are so much easier to wear out in public. They are quiet and jeans cover them a little bit more.

Another good place to start publicly wearing heels is by finding either an LGBT resort or establishment within driving distance and go there. Places like that truly don't even look twice at what you are wearing. Even if you wanted to walk in completely cross dressed or just wearing heels you will feel much more comfortable in a place like that. 

I like the feel of pantyhose. More so in the winter, summer they are to hot and sweaty. They also help when wearing some shoes so they fit better and keep you from getting blisters.

Heels are nice, but ballet flats are awesome as well. They are much easier to wear in public because no sounds and they are not as noticeable.

I think for women most times it makes them feel dominant because they feel sexier in heels. Therefore giving them confidence.

Yesterday I got the courage to walk around a little in public in my high heels. Luckily I didn't have to walk past anyone for them to notice I was wearing heels. (not that confident yet) However, I know this is a high heels site, but I did walk in several public stores with a pair of black womens flats on and no one even took notice to my shoes. It felt nice to be able to walk in public with the flats, maybe I will build confidence to do that in heels.

No, unfortunately I don't feel that it is widely accepted enough for men to wear them in public. Which is kind of silly considering they are just a type of shoe that covers your foot.

I'm still getting used to the set up of the new site, but really like the site in general.
