  1. So what do You all think of my new purchase????

Very much looking forward to how it turns out. When do you expect to receive them?

And how would You react to see a guy walking on these heels in public (which i'm planning to do muahahah)

Heh, I routinely go to work in these so I'm probably not objective  I'd certainly like a pair myself though if they fit well...
  2. ...provide me with the details of the secret method that'll allow me to see all the womens styles as one query...

Shop by size, select your US women's size. On the left, "shop by style"; I find that "dress" usually has the best stuff, with "boots" worth a look as well.

  3. Howdy there!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi, but more importantly a big "THANKYOU!" to you all! The posts I've read on this site (and the guys I met in Cambridge - you know who you are) have really given me the confidence to wear whatever footwear I choose, and I'm loving it (literally) every step of the way. Just yesterday I went to the supermarket in an outrageous pair of black patent 6-inch stiletto sandals, just because I could. My normal, everyday footwear is a gorgeous pair of 5 inch chunky-heeled knee boots, and flat shoes aren't even a consideration any more. I really don't think anything of it now, although my girlfriend and I both find it highly amusing watching the looks on peoples faces when they notice my shoes; generally utter confusion from the men and jealousy from the women...

Anyway, I'm now living in London, so if anyone wants to meet up for a drink some time, drop me an email - ivegotta@tombom.co.uk. I don't tend to spend much time online nowadays, so please email rather than reply to this.

Thanks again folks, and hopefully I'll catch up with some of you soon.

    Foon (aka Chris)

  4. Just wondering what kinds of reactions people have had to their heels? I've had plenty of double takes and puzzled stares, but I had some interesting reactions at a party last weekend. The guys didn't say much about my 5" heels, but I got a range of positive reactions from the women. Some were impressed with the heel height, others couldn't believe my feet were comfortable in such pointy shoes, and one girl was really pleased that a man had finally found out what it's like when the crowd is walking slightly too fast and you can't keep up because of your heels  All were impressed with my shoes in one way or another, and all agreed that it took a lot of confidence and guts to wear them. A very positive experience all round - anyone else care to share?

  5. Just received my custom-made boots from Divine. I've been looking for anything in my size without a stiletto heel - Steve from Divine said they'd be able to put a chunky heel on one of their boots for an extra £15. The result is superb  Imagine these boots in black leather with these heels (no platform though). I'll post a pic when I actually get around to buying a digital camera...

If anyone's looking for excellent quality boots in larger sizes (I'm a size 12UK), try Divine. They are fairly expensive, but very good quality - I now have 2 pairs of boots from them and no complaints about either of them

  6. Remaining firmly off-topic... Kazaa also contains large amounts of "spyware" and other nasties. They can track what you're downloading, and from who, and there's another program installed with kazaa that will use your hard drive space, internet connection, and CPU power for whatever they like. It ain't going anywhere near any of my systems...!

  7. I'm a firm atheist, and I fundamentally diagree with any form of organised religion. Maybe not the beliefs and ideals that they stand for, but to me the concept of millions of people believing the same thing is just absurd. People are so different, how can any two peoples views on the subject be identical, unless there's some element of brainwashing involved? Besides, I'm a man of science. I have spent my entire life so far working with computers and learning about the laws that govern the way the universe works. In my humble opinion, religion was invented as a way for people to feel good about themselves, thinking there was someone watching over them, giving them someone to apologise to when they did wrong. If people want to believe in such an all-powerful supreme being, that's their choice; I'll just carry on believing that most religions are (in psychological terms) what's known as a "self-reinforcing delusion".

  8. I'm 6'5" barefoot, so attracting glances because of my height is something I'm used to. Being almost 7' tall (in platforms) is an interesting experience...!

  9. I've had the same discussion with him many times, and I can't understand it either. He classes wearing a skirt as "full drag", which is therefore "wrong" and "unacceptable", yet he's fine with me wandering around in stilettos. He's entitled to his viewpoint I guess, but I can't understand why he would have a problem with one and not the other. It's probably much the same confusion as he has about why I wear heels at all...

  10. I had the same problem at the meet in Cambridge at the weekend. My ankles were fine, the only problem I had was that the balls of my feet started to really hurt. Sometimes I find that newer shoes can pinch my toes until they hurt, but if I wear them a few times so they stretch the problem normally stops.

  11. I've been lurking on this board (and more active on the old board) for a while now. But, after hearing the guys this weekend talk about some of the interesting conversations that go on here, I've decided to overcome my dislike of navigating this board and come out into the open. Yes folks, another strange man has joined your ranks

  12. Hi everybody,

Just thought I'd say hi to everyone, since I've been lurking on here for a while now. I'm called Chris, I live in Cambridge, and these are the shoes I wear around the house and out shopping most of the time (Same style, but in black suede)...

I've only fairly recently started wearing heels in public, but I have no plans to stop, and lots of plans to wear them a lot more

Anyway, hi to all, and if anyone fancies a heel meet in either Cambridge (where I live) or London (where I work), drop me a line at ivegotta@tombom.co.uk
