  1. I too have noticed that the heels, in some stores, are higher. But like stw8 said the shoes with the higher heels most often sport a platform on the shoe. With the exception of an exotic boutique, I have not seen many if any high heels with a 6" heel or higher and no platform.

Actually, after missing a flight back to Canada during a recent business trip in China, I was stuck for 3 days so I spent a lot of time in malls. I've noticed many shoe stores carrying one or two models that were 6" to 7" tall sans platforms. Office ladies would come with their friends to try them on, laugh and then they would leave. One time I overheard them saying that it was too high and that they would look like hookers. At lunch I found the owner eating at a coffee shop so I struck a conversation with him. I asked whether he was able to sell the really tall high heels. He told me that he wouldn't stock them if he couldn't. He told me that girls usually came back alone afterwards to buy them. Dunno why they are so ashamed?

  2. Have been looking at it for a while. Thought of buying it. I don't wear heels but I love seeing my girlfriend walking (more like struggling) with them. She likes the challenge. She is small in height with small feet. She can barely handle 4.5". I guess I will have to wait.

  3. I pre-apologize to anyone that feels insulted for what I'm about to comment. After looking at the picture of the girl in heels, I thought, that it was plainly wrong. Considering the fact that high heels are terrible shoes to wear (or so my girlfriend claims), I don't see any good reasons for wearing them besides making my girlfriend so damn sexy. Heels "lengthens" the legs and perks up the butt. Can't keep my hands off it. Although I love it when my girlfriend wears them, I discourage her from wearing heels most of the time reserving them only for special occasions. Anyways, my point here is that a girl nine years old hasn't developed the features which high heels are supposed to accentuate. As a matter of fact, heels causes deformities of the feet and I believe that it can possibly harm development of the girl. I would classify in the same group the parents who would allow/force their prepubescent children to wear heels as the parents who allow/force their children into beauty pageants. Why not just let kids be kids? There are plenty of chances to wear heels once they grow up.
