Can anybody else share their experiences with Pleaser sizing?
I usually take an 11 (or an 11W) in US Women's sizes, but with Pleaser and Ellie I find that a 12 is a snug fit...
-
I hope you'll post pictures when you get them!
-
My wife knows about my interest in heels but unfortunately does not share it. Out of respect for that, I do not wear them when I am with her, and I do not share my adventures with her.

I'm a "stealth" heeler. Getting "the stare" when I'm caught...
-
My favorite height is 5". After more than 20 years of part time "stealth" heeling, walking in anything under 4" seems as natural as sneakers (as long as the shoe or boot fits well). I still struggle with anything over 5 1/2". What a difference 1/2" can make!

When my 6 3/4" D'orsays come in, I really don't want to practice on asphault and ruin the heel tips (or worse). Just walking around the running track (which is a hard but spongy/rubbery material) my 6"ers have become pretty worn...
For practice, try using the crutch tips from an earlier post in this thread. They look goofy, but they should allow you to practice on any surface while preserving the heel tips for the real outing(s). They come in all sizes and should come off without leaving a mark.
They will add at least 1/4" to the rise, so when you take them off, walking on the real heel should feel easier.
Just a thought...

When I wear them out I always have the jeans over the boots because I am shy. But I love the look of boots (the higher the better) over tight fitting jeans on the ladies!
-
I am OK with either...to each his/her own.....
Adeana, you are a gem... and probably in the minority.
I would love to see the results of this poll with all of the male votes disqualified. Too bad there's not a mechanism by which the inappropriate votes would automatically rejected on the unisex polls. The way it works now, the results of a poll like this are rather meaningless.
We all know the men can't keep out of the womens' stuff...

That's what I'm concerned about - the very high pressure on the tip of a stilletto will damage the belt. What I'm looking for is a way to temporarily widen the base of the heel, to spread the load more evenly. Any ideas?
Try using crutch tips. The right size ones will push onto the heel, be held with friction, then pull off when you're done. They are usually made of soft rubber, so they will widen and cushion the tip at the same time. These also work well for the times that you might want a discretely quiet high heel walk, although the look is admittedly goofy.
You can get them at www.mcmaster.com. Search for "crutch tips" and you will get a wide selection of sizes to fit heel diameters s from 1/4" to 1 1/4".

For me, I'd like to be able to wear them with absolutely no noticing or comments from others.
I'm definitely in this group. I enjoy wearing heels for myself. I am most comfortable wearing block heels hidden under long jeans. I still get the thrill of the rise without being the center of attention.
I think that our decision of how we wear our heels is based on our individual personalities. I don't think that there is a "right" way or "wrong" way to wear heels, just "our own" way.
This notion of "responsibility" takes the whole thing a little too seriously for my taste. Yes, just MHO...
Those of you that disagree can now take pot shots at me.

Tried it once when I was on a business road trip with a pair of leather thigh highs. Started out fine but soon turned uncomfortable. Sleep was very fitful until I finally said "enough already" and took them off. Slept MUCH better. No need to try that again... Wearing them is so much more fun when you are awake to enjoy it!

Nuthin' wrong with havin' a little fun once in a while...

It's all about the fit. Snug boots call for hose or thin trouser socks. Otherwise I need to wear socks, if just to keep the boots in place and not slop around on the feet. I have worn 4 inch block heel boots all day, walking literally miles in them. If they don't fit snugly, then blister city! I can't go barefoot in boots. Just doesn't feel right...

Great story! And the boots look really good with the black jeans. Thanks for sharing!

I want a pair!

I agree with hhboots. I have worn blocky hh boots for years under long jeans and have received very little notice. Great for getting a lift and a thrill without all the stares. And, back on topic, nice boots, Johnieheel!

I never had a babysitter like that!!!The boots of my babysitter were the same but these were in black leather and I always remember how my babysitter would sit and watch me as I sat there and put these boots on zipped them up. The one thing that REALLY turned me on was when my babysitter would come round and as soon as my parents went out she would say "So do you want to put my big boots on then?" she would usually follow this with "Well are you going to unzip my boots and take them off me so you can put them on?" This was amazing and as I was putting the boots on she would say something like "so you are enjoying this then????"
Scarred for life... but in a good way!!!
-
Ugly, yes. But I think it would be fun to try walking in them!

Pictures! Pictures!

I'd like to join everyone else in wishing you two a wonderful anniversary! How did two heelers like you meet? There must be a good heel story here!

I like #1.

This has got to be a trick question. Any way a woman wears heels is great!

First time for me were my mom's knee high leather knee boots with maybe a two to three inch blockish heel. Must have been early '70's when I was in Junior High. I remember retrieving them from the attic during the summer and wearing them when I would sleep out in my treehouse. That only worked for one summer, since my feet were growing too fast!

Those look pretty safe, but if you are nervous, wear pants that are long enough to hide the height of the heel. Plenty of men's dress shoes have hard heels and are loud.
If the sound makes you nervous, find some rubber sheet material (www.mcmaster.com is one source) and some Shoe Goo (Walmart). Cut the rubber to match the heel bottom and glue it on. The Shoe Goo may not hold the rubber forever, but I've had pretty good luck with it. The adhesiveness improves if you roughen both the face of the rubber and the bottom of the heel with sandpaper to remove any shininess...
Have fun with it.
