I bought the shoes with my own money. I have my own job, a good job at that for my age, im a night manager at 19. My parents havnt bought me anything since my junior year of high school. Ive bought anything I ever wanted. Ive bought a lot of parts and repairs for my truck which sometimes run over 1000 dollars. So they cant say I didn't pay for them. I also still payed for all my bills like car insurance, which at my age is not cheap. I do thank everyone for posting it did help me a lot. I think I have a plan though. Im going to be buying a pair of custom cowboy boots with a 3 1/2 inch heel. They will be expensive, but I know it will get my parents used to the whole high heel thing as well as my friends, who don't know yet. This guy does these custom boots, and he allows you to pick the leather, color, heel type, heel height, toe type, and you can customize them in other various ways you want. He can even make them with a 5 inch heel depending on the toe. So it seemed like a good idea to me to get them used to it and it will allow me to still enjoy wearing some type of heel. It will also allow me to get used to wearing them in public which I havnt done yet. I will eventually move on back to booties and womens boots just because I like the skinnier heel and the style, but that will be a little later on down the road.

Well here's what happened. Back in October or so I took pictures of myself wearing heels and some other fashionable, but simple clothing to show you guys on the site. But when I uploaded it to the computer using my camera I forgot to delete them from the computer. I put the pictures on my flash drive and totally forgot about the other ones. And the bad thing about that computer was that the screen saver was personal pictures and my parents saw my pictures and definitely had a lot of questions. I just kept telling them "I don't know". They eventually left me alone. But my mom put all my heels in her closet. Some time went by and they caught me looking at heels on the computer. This time my mom actually wanted me to see a psychiatrist, but I refused because I know that there's nothing wrong with me. But one day when everyone was gone I went to her closet to wear my heels and they were gone. I searched everywhere for them and could not find them. They are either hidden really well or they threw them out. Which upsets me a lot. Now I have no heels to wear at all. I want to buy more and hid them better, but im too afraid that she'll see on my bank account. I don't know what to do. I still have a desire to wear them, but I feel like ill never be able to just because of my parents and how afraid I am of what other people are going to say. Especially my friends and co-workers.

Thanks. And no they are not aware of me wearing heels. Thankfully ive never had the problem of them opening my packages even when ive told them exactly what ive ordered (usually parts for my truck or airsoft stuff). This time I just told them I ordered an expensive pair of Nike sandals so I doubt they'll open it. They'll just put it in my room on my bed like they usually do. Unfortunatly though im usually in school when the package arrives. If they did open I would have alot of explaining to do lol.

Is it true that heels flatten the feet from having high arches? I have high arches and I like them. I dont want them to go away cause I think they look sexy. But I also love to wear heels. Should I be concerned?

Im small fry. Im 5'-6 1/2" and I weigh in at 132 lbs. Im actually trying to gain some weight in muscle. I want to weigh about 140 to 145 lbs. I am very slim though and can easily pull off wearing heels. LOL even though I eat like a pig.

Wow thanks for all the posts and helpfull comments. No I don't think showing them my heels will make them throw me out. They arn't that bad and they do know that im extremely smart and that I have an open mind. O well Im not gonna be here forever I do plan on moving to Florida to go to an Aeronautical collage down there. Although it is 2 years away.

Dude just tell her the truth. I recently found an amazing girl and actually I made sure it was one of the first things I told her (with the encouragement of this site of course). Surprisingly she was very accepting of it and just told me that everyone has their quorks. Im not sure if your girl will be as accepting but you'll never know unless you try. And if it doesn't work out then maybe shes not the one for you. So if I was you just come straight out and tell her. Be sure to tell her that its something that your passionate about and that you feel that you can really do this. You could also find more ways of making it look more masculine. Ive managed to get a very masculine look while wearing heels. I just wear Arizona relaxed fit jeans with the heels (of about 4 to 4 1/2 in) with a t-shirt and a collard shirt to go over that. Also show her what type of heels your are willing to wear. Whether it be boots or pumps. You might want to start out with boots though. Especially leather ones.

Ok so im an 18 year old american teenager and I still live at home with my parents and im desperate for some advice. I bought my first 2 pairs of heels not too long ago. One pair is an ankle boot, 4 1/2 in stilehtto with a round toe, the other pair is a pair of booties 4 in cone heel and almond toe. Im not going to be leaving the house for at least another 2 years, because Im attending a local community collage first but yet I still desperatly want to start wearing my heels in public. I simply dont care about what people say about me anymore and I hope that theyll look at me wearing heels and maybe itll get people to think and open their minds a little. But at any rate the only thing stopping me from doing this is the two parental figures that I have to get past to the front door. So my question to you guys is how do I break it to them that I want to wear high heels in public. LOL nontheless wear high heels. They dont even know I have these 2 pairs of high heels. Now ive already successfully told my girlfreind but my girlfreind loves me and didnt critisize me or make fun of me. My parents on the other hand probably will. Just so were clear on who were dealing with my dad is a retired US Marine 27 years and has a huge man ego. My mom is a bit sweeter but is full blooded Italian, loves to cook and sticks by tradition. In other words men not wearing high heels. So how do I tell them? How do I get the courage to finally walk downstairs in my heels and show them? It would be such an awkward moment and they would make such a big deal out of it. So please any advise is appreciated.

I put other, because I think my prefered toe type would be the almond toe. It is semi pointy and still allows toe room. Cause pointy toes are what squeez your toes together and eventually cause bunions.

No problem love2heel. Im glad it helped. If you were wearing normal womens shoes adding 2 sizes would work, but were throwing high heels into the mix so you have to be careful with sizing. And its like shafted said, your foot will slide down inside the shoe so you should size down. Also Measuring your foot and using that to do the conversions is the most accurate way. And I totally understand your situation with wearing heels in public. I too cant wear heels in public because of the town I live in. Granted its not a small town by anymeans so not everybody knows everybody. Especially with over 500,000 people living here. Its just that its a military town so there are alot of ignorant people that live here and would make fun of a guy like me wearing heels. Although it is an incredible place to live and grow up in.

Wow, I didnt think that sizing would sway that much. Unfortunatly I dont have the guts to try on heels in public in this town especially (primarily military). But I heard sizing gets more accurate the smaller the size and lucky me im ony 8 1/2 (although I can still fit into size 8, but thats just how small my feet are) mens which is suppose to be about 9 1/2 in womens.

yea that happens after you break them in, so it makes sense. But the 9 1/2s I bought were a tad tight at first too but once I broke them in they fit perfectly. Thats why I say you should buy whatevers closest to your size in inches. Because even if there dead on or a little bit smaller you will break them in and stretch them.

Im also 5' 7" without heels. Im 18 years old and wear a mens size 8 1/2. I have small feet. I usually wear size 9 1/2 in womens. But check out the post I just did on sizing and see if it will help you out at all.

Ok so ive experimented with this for hours. Im also studying to become an engineer so im good with measurements so you have to trust me on this one. The myth for men when it comes converting to womens size is to go 2 sizes up. WRONG!!!. Do not do that you might end up buying to big of a size. You have to understand that womans sizes are between mens sizes. So you have to be carefull. Im an 8 1/2 and I bought a womens size 10 shoe and it is about 1/2 a size too big and my foot slides forward in the heel. It makes them a little more difficult to walk in. I then bought a pair of booties size 9 1/2 womens and they fit perfectly snug. And thats only 1 size bigger. Now im a small 8 1/2 (a regular 8 1/2 is 10 1/8 inch and my foot measures exactly 10 inches and trust me that 1/8 inch makes a difference when it comes to converting to womens sizes). I can still fit into mens size 8 with relative ease. So be careful if you are a smaller or larger in your size. So to find the correct size first you need to measure your foot. Put your heel at the end of the ruler at 0 (and be sure its at 0) and measure to your big toe to the nearest 1/16th of an inch. Also make sure you stand and put your weight on your foot to get the most accurate measurement. Then use this chart (http://www.6pm.com/cs/mmf-popop.zml) to find your size in womens. Please take notice of your size in mens first and see that these charts are accurate. Also to see if your a larger or smaller of your size. And remember it is very important that you measure to 1/16 of an inch. And ull know if you buy too large of a heel because your foot will slide forward and theyll be a space between the back of your foot and the back of the heel. Also it will probably flip flop a little. Too small and your foot will scrunch up and the arch of your foot will pop up. THAT IS VERY BAD FOR YOUR FOOT. You know its the perfect fit when your foot and the arch conform right to the heel. You also should get an amazing feeling when you put them on. No shoe should hurt your foot, not even heels.

Well I just want to say what a great site yall have here I truely enjoy it. The people are wonderful and they helped me out a ton so far and I just joined. I cant wait to see what other conversations spark up. But anyway I just want to say im sorry I should have done this when I first joined, but I had another post that I wanted to do first that I thought was a little more important. Ok so about me. Well im an 18 year old senior in high school. I live in a large military town, which is also the worlds largest resort town, Virginia Beach, Virginia (hence the name) in the united states. I am currently studying to be an engineer. I hope to either be a naval architect for yachts, or an aeornautical/aerospace engineer. I have a very open mind and I dont mean to brag but I am quite intelligent. My GPA is also currently a 3.56 or rank 99 in my class out of close to 600 students. I have a passion for basically anything that has an engine and can be piloted/driven. I love planes, cars, and ships and I hope to dedicate my life to advancing all their technologies. I also enjoy phototgraphy and have won a contest for some of my pictures. But why did I join this site?? Well im a dude and yes I like to wear high heels. No I dont wear pumps as they would be too difficult to incorporate into a mans normal wear, but I do wear ankle boots and booties. Unfortunatly ive already established a manly image to my friends and family before I really got into high heels so it would be difficult for me to show it to any of them. For instance I usually wear athletic type shoes like Nike air and Nike shox, I also drive a large truck (Dodge Ram 1500). I also enjoy playing gory video games such as Gears of War and other typical guy stuff like fishing and airsofting. So basically im your typical teenage american boy, other than the fact that I like fashion and I love to wear high heels. Unfortunatly society isnt that approving of it so I only wear them in the house. I mean even my parents dont know I have them. Im also very hesitant on telling them because my father was a US marine and is very ignorant and would probably call me gay and make fun of me even though I have a girlfriend. No offense to gays meant, im sorry people dont approve of you like my father, although im a totally different person than my father and so it doesnt bother me. I actually think that theyre some the nicest people. But so far, with the encouragemeant of this forum, ive only told 1 person that I like to wear high heels, my girlfriend. And luckily she totally approves of it and says that I should do whatever makes me happy. Oh and a little tip to anyone who reads this, dont take life too seriously to the point where you get depressed. Have fun with it and do what you want. You only live life once as far as we know therefore you should do what you want to do with your life. Although dont become selfish. Always do more for others than you do for yourself. Dont take ANYTHING for granted. Try to appreciate everything around you and the beauty of the world we live in. I always try to appreciate several things in my life, my loving family, friends, and girlfriend, LOL my awsome truck, my youth, my health, the food I eat, the roof over my head, my job, my school and all its teachers, and just the natural unique beuty of Mother Nature. Um, wow, I didnt think this post would spark this much conversation. I thank you all for your advice, I am truely impressed. Things are going well though. She likes me very much and I like her very much as well and we are official boyfriend girlfriend. I think ive already took a step in the right dirction to telling her though. She kept on talking about how one of her ticks is chest hair and that made her curious as to what one of my ticks was. So I told her straight out that it was when women wear high heels. And all she said was that it was understandable. Granted I havnt seen her wear many heels. The only regular heels that ive seen her wear so far are a pair of 2" oxfords. They compliment her well actually. But I think ill be able to expand on what I said to her next time it comes up and ill explain to her that I have a passion for them. Even though we just started dating I want to tell her so bad, because I feel like im in love with her. No matter what I do I cannot get her out of my head. Also she has told me that her and her mom like the way that I dress. Now I usually dress fairly high class, for instance I wear turtle necks, t-shirts with collard shirts over them, or just regular collared Ts. I always wear nice jeans and I usually wear nike air max, air force ones, or nike shox. I dont wear flat shoes, because I have very high arches and so they hurt my feet, kinda like converse. I feel like I can incorporate heels into my everyday outfit very easily though. I actually bought a pair of 4" leather booties and a 4 1/2" pair of ankle boots and they actually go great with any outfit. Well im about to turn 18 and im very interested in a girl at school. Theres just a few problems u see. 1. shes only 5' 1" and i like to wear high heels and im 5' 7". 2. No one knows i like to wear high heels, including my parents and i have no idea how to break it to them and her. 3. Im afraid of what her parents would think of me, especially her father, because there kind of country people, hicks i guess you could say, but good people. Do you guys think i should just drop the whole high heel thing to out with her, because shes really smart and pretty and i probably won't find another girl like her. I could really use some advice.
