  1. BRAVO! BRAVO! :irked::huh::rocker::biggrin:

How refreshing to find someone with some sense on this topic. A high heel is a HIGH HEEL. Even chopines, which were hardly more than shoes on stilts, were high heels.

As for that sexy inclination of the foot - well that's a horse of a different color.

But I was honestly begining to wonder just what sort of madhouse this was, what with some people talking about high heels as only relating to the size and angle of the foot, and still others plainly declaring that the minimum height for a high heel was 5" or more! It all rather makes one wonder just what they've got in their water?

Thank you, Dr. Shoe! Thank you, thank you. What a relief it is to at last have a sensible answer.

If just any platform shoe is a high heel than I wonder why most member’s avatars are showing nothing but very sexy, very high (high arch) heels. In fact most of the avatars can almost be considered fetish type shoes.

Why not just call this entire forum "Shoe Place" since the Heel height apparently does not matter anymore (based on some responses to this threat here)?

Just one last thought. On this forum are many threads about the "wearing of heels in public". Are all the people that are posting on these threads just concerned about wearing a high platform shoe or are they really concerned about wearing a "high heel" shoe (which is synonymous for Female Footwear) in public? Is not practically the entire site about the reaction of other people towards us that are wearing high arched heels?

I am sure that no one would give a second thought to anyone that is just wearing a 6” platform shoe (6” toe – 6” heel) in public. The worst reaction you could get is that someone things you are rocker or a punker and I am sure that that is not worth discussing on a high heel forum either.

So way do we have to be so politically correct and make it sound like any foot wear should be discussed in this HIGH HEEL forum?

  2. Is there any type of definition on this forum on what a high heeled shoe is? I am surprised by some of the threads here in which shoes are posted that I would never even closely consider of being a high heel. Some are flats and other have a heel but are far away from a HIGH heel.

Is any female shoe considered a high heel?

Is any heel automatically a high heel?

Is any platform shoe automatically a high heel even so there is no noticeable arch?

Shouldn't we have a definition on the HIGH HEEL Place of what we consider a minimum heel height (arch) to be a high heel? Granted some people have small feet but shouldn't a HIGH HEEL have at least an arch of 3" (7,5 cm)? Shouldn’t anything below that just being considered as a heel? :rocker:

  3. As a matter of fact most shoes pictures in this thread can make a high heel lover puke. Shouldn't there be at a least minimum heel height for anyone to claim to talk about high heels? I mean there are few threats talking about what minimum height of a High Heel should be the. It is of course a matter of perception and shoes size but please give me a break with a few of the shoes that are being posted here. :rocker:
  4. Is it just my imagination that this site is called HIGH HEELS PLACE and that the reason we are here is to talk about HIGH HEELS???? How LOW do we have to sink to talk about any female shoe, even grandma's house shoes?

  5. Kneehighs' idea of a logo is great idea. First of all we have to know what the max. size for the logo can be to be suitable for the site. Assuming that it is the size of an avatar or most likely needs to be smaller than the avatar then there is not much space to display any thing elaborate in it and still being able to identify what it is.

The first idea that goes is a group of people and being still be able to identify in that group a male and female shape and on top of it being able to see if they wear heels or not (the heels will not be noticeable at all).

The same problem will be with the idea that kneehighs has about a logo that can be identified on one side as a female shape and on the other as a male. Even if we come up with such an optical illusion you will not be able to see that either are wearing heels, which would miss the main premise of the logo.

At the moment my best suggestion would be a logo of an exaggerated high heel design in a green color to go with the overall color sceme of the web site. How ever that would not imply anything about the fact that some men wear heels either. But since the forum does not appear to be gender specific, except of the fact that most posts are in the guys section, it might work.

Maybe a design of 2 high heels, one being identified as the male version together with the obvious female one would do the trick. But how to identify the male high heel? Any suggestions?

  6. I have to agree with Shoeiee. Shoes that have been worn should be perfectly maintained to remain sexy and appealing, like any shoe for that matter. Otherwise it’s just a bad reflection of the cleanliness and personality of the wearer. But if that floats somebody’s boat than power to them in private.

  7. I have purged as well. When I got to know Shelly I have thrown away several pair of heels including expensive thigh high boots. I thought it would not go over well when admitting to her that I was wearing heels. I guess I also wanted to erase the side of me that wanted to wear heels especially since she already wore heels for me almost 24/7. But since I am posting here you can guess that it did not take to long until the old urge made itself known again. I have built up my collection very fast again but the money could have been used for other purposes if I would not have had a weak moment.
  8. I have cut my toe nails as shot as possible which has reduced the pain on the toes but there remains still a lot of pain just standing on the tip of the toe. The best help sofar was to put a somewhat stiffer foam pading ( 3/4") in the tip. This does make a noticeable difference for about 1 minute or 2. I feel you have to be genetically pre dispositioned to be able to stand and walk in ballet shoes and boots for a while. It also helps to be as light as possible which does not give me much hope as I must be more than 2 times heavier than the average ballerina.

  9. I have bought the same shoes. It definitely is an art to stand in them for a more than a couple of minutes. It even more difficult to walk in them as it is an almost alien experience.

But as you already said we don't necessarily have to walk in them to enjoy them. In fact if you put a lock on them the occasional wearer is pretty much trapped at the spot he or she is standing with them. The only way of moving is either on your knees or with support from walls or other objects to steady yourself.

  10. The ballet shoes look like they are mine. :rocker:

I am 6,2 tall and would feel like a like a walking billboard if I wear my 6" and 7" heels in public. What do you think makes people say less or notice less about you wearing high heels when wearing a mini skirt?

  11. The sexiest and most graceful walk is one which appears effortless as if the heels are part of the body. Any wobble or strain in the walk is hopefully only the good effort to hopefully keep wearing the heels until one can walk in them gracefully. After all everyone wore them for the first time ... but the first time is not particularly sexy and has in my mind the opposite effect.

If you can't walk in them keep practicing at home or wear a lower heel.

  12. What exactly I feel about heels worn by women and wearing heels myself is difficult to pin down. I have been attracted to them going back to my teenage years and I can not determine what event might have caused this feeling. I know that my initial response to trying on my mothers heels was one of sexual excitement. It took a couple of years until I got around to buying my own heels which at that time was still linked to that of arousal. But I have to say that in addition to heels I also developed a fetish for corsets and bondage and it appears that all go hand in hand by creating a multiplied feeling of elegant restriction.

I suppose I always associated heels with sophistication and with an attitude of courage and rebellion that the wearer must have as it clearly set her and even more so him apart from most other people who do not wear high heels. Understand that if I talk about heels than I mean stiletto heels with at least 4” height. Just wearing female shoes with out stiletto heel does nothing to me.

When I finally lived on my own I had many pair of high heels which I wore daily at home. During that time the sexual component was still there but it faded some what into the back ground as wearing heels on a daily basis did not make me excited anymore. How ever I was still always compelled to wear them even so sexual arousal was not in the foreground anymore.

Except of one time I have not worn my heels in public but it was for sure very exciting. But it was not exciting from a sexual point of view but of one of apprehension and exhibitionism because it is something that only a few people ever would do because of the reaction of other people towards it. At the end I was happy that apparently nobody even recognized that I was wearing heels despite the fact that including heels I was 6’8” tall.

At the end I would say that high heels invoke in me the feelings of:

    · Open sexuality and the need to attract it from others.

    · Guts. Because heels will invoke in others either the feeling of looking up to one that has the guts to wear heels or the feeling of envy and negative stereotype of people that whish they had the guts to wear them.

    · Sophistication. As it forces the wearer to move elegantly and in small steps which set them apart from the herd of all the others.

    · Self imposed restrictions. As we limit ourselves in movement and the right size heel feels like bondage in itself.

  13. Can anyone help me to identify sources for size 11 US male (45 Euro) "fashion" high heeled boots that are not fetish oriented? Most size 11 shoes or boots are either dancer oriented or clearly fetish oriented and are mostly only available in red or black.

Not that I mind these choices as I clearly enjoy them but I would also like to have other options for "every day" wear as well. Please follow the below links as examples of what I like to find:

  14. That is a great story. I have read the stiletto trap some years ago and still have it some where on my computer. Your story puts a realistic spin to it which might even be physically possible.

Makes me wonder what I can realistically do to endure the ballet boots for more than a couple of minutes.

  15. I have been wearing 6" heels for many years at home until I met Shelly. Going into the relation ship we both knew that I am a high heel fanatic and that I love to see women in heels. How ever she did not know that my closet was full of heels and that I used to wear them in private all the time. After the relationship became more serious I decided to actually throw away some of the shoes I had as I feared that she might not understand.

How ever after a couple of years I admitted to her that I have been wearing heels in the past and that I even had a couple of pair left in the basement. It turned out that she did not mind me wearing heels anyway and she said she rather have someone that is in touch with his feminine side. Since than we have purchased many pair of at least 5" heels for her and several pair of 6" heels for me including a pair of ballet shoes.

In retrospect I have to say that it was good for me let my partner know that I love to wear high heels as it turned out that she did not mind after all. In fact she was the one that recently found this forum and suggested to become members of it to talk to like minded heel fanatics.

I do not know how other women will react but I found a fantastic partner that feels good about my high heel fetish and even fosters it as she has become an even stronger fanatic for high heels as she has been before she knew me.
