After my failed 'Jimmy Choo' boots saga, I have decided to revert to tried and tested Aldo - but they have not got many pairs of knee high boots out yet!

They have a few pairs aof ankle boots out that I really, really hope they have knee high versions of in the coming months - if they do I will snap them both up!

Does anyone know of any celebrity 'auction sites'? Looking at this thread has reminded me I have always wanted to own a genuine worn pair of Angelina Jolies boots (or failing that high heeled shoes) I would love the boots she wore in Mr & Mrs Smith but suspect my budget would not stretch that far. I would just have to look and touch them every day!!

No, the avatar boots are from Oasis and cost me about €40. I wear my Choo boots a fair bit. I don't wear heels outside but wear each pair once a week at least indoors.

Astrid - I love the boots in your Avatar, they are the best looking pair of boots I have seen in ages - the really pointed toe looks great!

Following my failed telephone purchase of a pair of Jimmy Choo Orchid knee high boots (too small) - I have decided to bite the bullett and 'try before I buy' for the first time. Has anyone got any expereince of how helpful / friendly the staff are at the Bluewater (Kent) Aldo and Dune stores are towards guys trying heels on???

I wish my feet were smaller and narrower.

Benno - I have been out this evening and brought a pair of stockings which I am going to try in the morning. I dont hold up much hope though to be honest! I even emailed Jimmy Choo to see whether they had any similar boots in a size 43 but 42 is as big as they go!

I think I am going to order a pair of Amanda Thigh high boots from Italianheels.com to cheer myself up!

Thanks - but I am just gutted that they dont fit Aldo - Faith etc 42's are fine but the Jimmy Choos are just narrower. Does anyone know if they do a 43???

I guess I am in for some 'I told you so' Courier arrived with my pristine, sexy Jimmy Choo Black Leather knee high boots - but guess what. My stupid feet are to big, I cant even zip them up as my feet wont go all the way in! &%@#, $%*&, @@#&....................... So - now I have a pair of boots which cost me over £500 that I cannot wear. Morall of the story - I may be embarressed trying them on in store, but at least I wont be broke! :mecry:

Thanks Benno - I admire your confidence and deep down I know you are right! No one would care and even if they did - does it matter? I guess spending over £500 on a pair of boots and not trying them on is a bit crazy - plus I missed out on the in store pampering and 'feel good' factor of trying them on - perhaps next time! Would be interested to see a picture of the boots you brought.

Thanks for your reply Astrid - I have ordered a pair of Orchid knee high boots in a 42 / 9 - I think this size is 'not normal stock' for Jimmy Choo?? They have a 4 inch heel, pointed toe and full lenght zip that runs up the back of the boots - they a fully leather linned as well which is great! I am really looking forward to getting them know though - I will add some pictures when I get them. Do you have any pics of your boots Astrid??

Unfortunately I cant try them on before I buy - for a variety of reasons (including the fact I would not have the confidence to do so) I just womdered whether someone else had a pair of JC boots in a size 9 / 42 so they could tell me how they compared to say Aldo or Faith?? I take a 9 / 42 in Aldo and Faith boots - they fit me nicely. I am looking to buy / invest in a pair of Jimmy Choo Orchid knee high boots, also in a 9 / 42. Does anyone have experience of Jimmy Choo sizing? - is thier 42 comparable to Aldo etc?? I am hoping that JC 42 is 'true to size' so I can treat myself to the boots as an early x-mas present. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
