  1. Loving the Daf's! Dont be discouraged from buying replicas. I bought my girlfriend a pair of turquoise CL Bianca knock offs for $90 online. She has worn both and cant tell the difference unless shes got the shoes right next to each other ready to closely examine. She wants a pair of Dafs, and I think I may take this route as well. I had a friend buy herself some replicas Dafs for $80 online and she was so happy with them, she literally wore then for 2 days straight, even fell asleep in them. I have held plenty of them in my hands and they were, once again, almost indistinguishable. I just find no reason for a pair of shoes to be that much because they have a dudes name on them.

  2. I would LOVE to have been there. Im not one for air headed fake and bakers, but it would have been a GREAT knee down day. I would have whipped the film camera out for heel day like that! Coleen Rooney looks great in those Louboutins! I like all the women in the background of her pics are just teetering on the edge of any kind of stability, that kind of thing gets me looking!

  3. I didn't see any mention as to what kinds of work was being performed either.

There are some jobs where a heel of any kind isn't appropriate. Over the last few years, I spend 11 to 16 hours a night in big ugly steel toe work boots. I have yet to find a pair I would consider anything near comfortable. I often wonder if the foot aches and pains I get out of these would be comparable to a newbie in ballet boots.

A few years ago when I was a 'safety coordinator', I did hear mention that work related injuries related to high heels might not be covered under workers comp insurance. Never did hear if they followed through on this proposal.

There are definitely places where heels are not appropriate. And honestly, if you are in a job where they arent appropriate and you get hurt while wearing heels, I dont think you should get workmans comp. Blatant health and safety violations shouldnt be covered. Even if you are in an office setting and you roll your ankle in your 6 inch platform pumps, i still dont think workmans comp should cover you. Heels are a choice, i love them to death, but we shouldnt be handing out money to people who hurt themselves wearing them, thats a risk you take living the heel life!

This is relevant to me too. I just bought my GF a gorgeous pair of 6.5 inch ZiGi's and she took a spill at work just last week. She wasnt quite used to the way the front of the platform slopes up towards the front and missed a step. She hit the ground pretty hard and sprained both wrists. She knew it was her fault and wouldnt even think of trying to get comp out of her employer. She chose to strut those beautiful sky-high's, and paid the price to wear them all day at work with out much home practice.

  4. WoW! This movie is a TOTAL heel fest! Literally, and i do mean that in all seriousness, EVERY woman in this movie is wearing no less than a 5 inch heel.

xraynt8 is right, Amanda Seyfried is a pro heel runner, she does spend the entire movie in platform pumps. Running on concrete, through dirt, grass, water, gravel, even roof tops! Its amazing....

And its a good dystopian sci-fi thriller for any of us nerds out there. I dont care what anyone says, I like Justin Timberlakes acting.

  5. Greetings everyone! Im a 22 year old guy from mid-America who just loves high heels to death! I LLOOOVVVEEEE seeing women in super tall heels, and have been fascinated since childhood. I have no interest in wearing heels as a man, just absolutely accentuating a females look. That being said, more power to those that do! Society should be able to accept something so easy to get over.... Im a sucker for classic style platform pumps! If I could start designing shoes, I totally would. My girlfriend loves them just as much as I and its awesome! Keep on pumpin and struttin ladies AND gentlemen!
