  1. Hi

When I've been out in stiletto heeled boots, I've always thought that someone might hear, then notice the heel, then say something, so I've never been out very far or for very long in heels :rocker: .

Anyway, on Monday I was passing an "Evans" shop and my eye was caught by a pair of knee length, block heeled cowboy type boots in the window, so I went in and bought a pair. Once my boss had gone from the office, I tried them on (lovely fit), then decided they would be perfect for street heeling (having a thicker heel) so I took the 5 minute walk to the post box and back (it was dark by this time). I was a little concerned by the noise from the heels (although no one seemed to notice) so later I stuck and nailed some rubber sole repair stuff to the heels (when I tried this once without nails it fell off!) which quietened them.

Today, I knew my boss would be out all day, so I put the boots on and left my shoes in my car. At lunch, I went out into town, posted a couple of letters then walked up the main street, through the shopping centre, past a supermarket and round to the railway station, where I spent the rest of my lunch hour trainspotting (and walking up and down the platform!) before walking back to the office. I was out for an hour altogether!

I wasn't aware that anyone noticed, certainly no one said anything, stared, laughed, pointed etc. (probably because my trousers virtually hid the heel and the toes don't, to me, look as feminine as a pair of stiletto boots). I'm now back in the office, still in the boots, and my feet are tired, but happy!

The photos below were taken in the office. The one with my trousers tucked into the boots is just to show you the boots, the one with my trousers over the boots is how I went out (and I didn't realise my trousers were quite so long)

    Andrew

    PS - 3 & 3/4" heel height.

  2. Hi Like Heel-D I feel excited in heels (I'm currently sitting in the office (on my own) in a pair of 3.5" block heel cowboy boots I've just bought from Evans!), but it's not the sort of kid-before-Christmas excited, its more than that!! Its more sensual (and, yes, sexual) It just feels SOOO GOOOOOD (but its difficult to put into words!) I also get a feeling of satisfaction (and attraction) when I see a girl wearing a pair of boots which I know are the same as a pair I've got!! I saw a girl today in the local shopping centre wearing a pair of Barratt's "Brave" boots, the same as I bought last Thursday! She (and the boots) looked great, and I thought "Yeah, I've got some of them. They look GOOD!" Andrew

  3. Thanks for all the nice comments! I would click that "say thanks" button, but I'm not totally sure what it does. I'll give it a try, and if you've posted in this thread and something strange happens, it's because I've clicked "say thanks"!! Andrew

  4. Hi

  5. Hi

My boss didn't go home early, he left just before me, so I tried the boots on in my car, in the car park (perfect fit) then walked over to the bin in them to get rid of the box, then drove home in them :rocker: Really nice to drive in - I always thought it'd be difficult driving in heels, it isn't, just a bit different!

Hope you'll try these Boots over tight jeans/pants as this would be a really great look.

Later on, I wore them over a pair of white jodhpurs. I'll post a few pics later if I can remeber how.

No thnaks I don't need boot trees, or polish, wax, insoles, anglefeet...

They didn't try to sell me anything extra when I got my white pair (which surprised me), and they just "recommended" using boot trees and the spray on waterproofing stuff when I got my black pair.

I've never had any problem buying boots, although I don't ask to try them on. I was once asked if I wanted to try on a pair of thighboots I was buying (not in Barratt's, but not in a "fetish" shop) I declined (too chicken, and I was in a bit of a hurry)!

I think the assistant (manager?) who sold me the white boots possibly suspected they were for me - when I went looking for the black ones, she asked me how the boots were. She also commented on how nice they were and how she'd have to get some (white ones) in her shop. Unfortunately that didn't happen, because the shop closed.

Enjoy the boots Secreto!! (I do!)

    Andrew

PS (OT) - I'm spending the day at work in rubber riding boots, and not a horse in sight

  6. IMPORTANT

    Ooooh.... sorry!!!

I've just realised (following heelme's post) you could read my post as saying that Barratts are closing everywhere.

    THEY AREN'T

It was just my local branch of Barratt's that was closing (well, its actually closed now! - I'll edit my original post to avoid confusion. I don't want to be responsible for a loss of business at Barratts, they have some great boots)

    Andrew

    Sorry again :D

  7. Hi

Just treated myself to another new pair of boots ! A pair of these infact:-

    http://www.barratts.co.uk/p/04_651_0441/Brave.html (hope that works)

I haven't had time to try them on yet, but I've already got a pair of the "Winter White" version which are fantastic (they're my current favourite in fact!). They have a 4" heel, and the shaft is longer than most knee length boots; up to just below the back of my knee!! They have an "almond toe" (according to the box) and a full length zip up the inside, and are available in sizes 3 to 8 (UK).

There is a bit of story behind them, so I'll bore you for a bit! :D

I came across them on the Barratts website, and decided to go for the white ones, so I went to my local Barratts shop, they didn't have them in stock, but they very kindly ordered them for me. Once I'd got them and wore them, I tried to resist the urge to buy a black pair as well, but they felt so good I couldn't, so back to the shop I went. They had black ones, but not in an 8, so they said they'd order them. Anyway, the day before they were due to arrive, the shop phoned to say they'd just been told they (my local branch)were closing and wouldn't be having any more deliveries :D !!!!! (not great customer service from their head office I thought)

EDIT - THAT'S ONLY MY LOCAL BARRATT'S THAT CLOSING, SORRY FOR THE AMBIGUITY!

I still wanted the boots though, and today I had to go to our head office, so I checked if there was a Barratts nearby, there was, so in my lunch I went and (deep joy) they'd got them in an 8 :D

I'm now hoping my boss goes home early so I can try them on.

    Andrew

PS - They were £45 when I bought the white ones, they've now come down to £35.

  8. Hi I thought I'd take the opportunity of the change of website to change my username :D So "maudgca" is no more, I'm now "heelyandy" :D I would "kill off" maudgca, but I can't work out how, so I just won't log in  By the way, I'm currently in the office, on my own all day, wearing a pair of Marks & Spencer 3.5" stiletto heel black leather knee boots :D (under my trousers), and a thunderstorm's just passed overhead. Andrew

  9. Hi

Went out on Friday lunch intending to buy a pair of "Lisha Vintage Boots" from River Island, but couldn't see any about (woe 1) , so in my dissapointment, I decided to check out some other shops. Nothing took my fancy in Top Shop (woe 2), so went to Barratts. Saw a pair of these:-

    http://www.barratts.co.uk/p/04_651_0441/Brave.html

but they'd only got them up to a size 7, I wanted 8 (woe 3) :D , so I thought I'd try Priceless Shoes, not expecting there to be anything different from when I went in earlier in the week. This is the point at which the woe turned to joy :D when I saw a rack of fabulous boots which were new in :D

They're leather look PVC (or some other plastic), lined with the same stuff with a pointed toe and 3.75" stiletto heel. They've got a half length zip and turned over tops which can be turned up over the knee. They cost £ 20 and I bought a pair of 8s. When I tried them on (in the office after everyone had gone), they actually seemed quite large (some 8s can be quite tight, these weren't ) and they're really comfortable :) I had a breif journey outside to take something to the rubbish bin in the car park :D

    Anyway, these are the boots:-

  10. Hi

I couldn't resist any more, so I went out in my boots again today :D I left the office, got the boots out of my car and put them in a carrier bag, went into town to do what I had to do, then I made my way to the local railway station, sat on a low wall in the car park and changed into the boots. Unlike last week's outing, I had slightly shorter trousers on this week, so more of the heel could be seen :D

I went for a wander around local, quiet roads, near the railway so as not to miss any passing trains ;) . After last week's outing, and the (perceived) noise from the heels, I bought some stick on rubber soles and stuck pieces to the heels last week. Nice and quiet... for about 200 yards when my right boot started to go "clomp". I stopped and looked and the rubber I'd stuck on was hanging off  so I pulled it off, and the one on the left boot, and carried on :( Somehow they didn't seem as loud as last week anyway :D (and I like the sound :D )

After a bit of wandering (and 1 train) I saw a group of school kids approaching so I turned round and walked off, deciding it was time to take the boots off, so I found a quiet spot by a house, put my shoes back on and made my way to the railway station. I'd had the boots on for about 15 minutes and 2 or 3 people passed along with 2 or 3 cars. I didn't notice any reaction :D

After a while at the station, I had the urge to put the boots on again (there weren't many people on the platform I was on) so I went into an empty waiting room and put them on again :D . I wandered off along the platform to the end, but... HORROR :o as I was wandering back, three railway workers were walking the other way :D In my mind I perceive a group of (say) railway workers, builders or school kids to be more likely to make some comment than (say) a lone businessman, so I was somewhat nervous and tried to hide my feet behind a post with a phone on :D until I decided that was ridiculous :D and looked a bit suspicious, so I decided to face them and started to walk towards them :) They didn't say anything to me, but as I walked along I kept looking back "to see if any trains were coming" :D and they did seem to be looking towards me, but they were also looking at some papers on a clipboard, so they may have just been trying to decide what they were supposed to be doing :D (and if they did see me, who knows, maybe I'll have inspired one of them to have a go in heels :D )

I then wandered back to the waiting room and changed back into my shoes. I also took a photo of the boots, on the floor of the waiting room, so you know what they're like :D

I seem to have gone on a bit, hope I didn't bore you too much :D

    Andrew

PS - If everyone in the office goes before me, I intend to put them on again later :D

  11. Generally I associate jods with women who look like and sound like their animals

Neigh, neigh, snort, clip clop, clip clop :D

I like jodhpurs, not really sure why, I just do :D I've got 4 pairs. Oddly, the ones in the pic are yellow, but they look kinda beige in the pic  I also like riding boots, but don't actually ride and don't want to.

    Great pics, BTW

    Thanks :D

I bought another new pair of boots yesterday, back to high heels this time :) They were a sort of comfort buy. I was going to buy 2 more pairs of the flats in the earlier pics (especially as they'd knocked £10 off the price over the weekend), a black pair and a white pair. They didn't have any in the right size, so to console myself I wandered into River Island to see what they had, and they had these

    Posted Image

My eye was actually caught by the same style in a creamy colour, but they didn't have them in my size, so I had the brown ones instead. They're size 8 (UK), 41 (Euro), leather knee length pull ons. I haven't measured the heel height yet, but its probably around 3.5" to 4". The turned down tops can be turned up (they aren't sewn down), but the back of them is just the untreated back of the leather.

I hope at some point to wear them in public :D:D (under a pair of trousers)

  12. Hi

I bought these on Friday (hope this works :D ):-

    Posted Image

They are either long calf boots or short knee boots, pull on, and have a 1 inch "kitten" type heel (think that's the right description) and to be honest I wouldn't normally look twice at a pair of boots with a less than 3 inch heel, but something about them caught my eye (maybe the nice blue colour :D ) so I bought them. They were marked as a size 8 (UK) on the sticker on the sole, but when I tried them on in the office (everyone else had gone ;) ), I noticed inside it was marked as a nine.

They've completely changed my opinion of lower heeled boots :( . They are really comfortable to wear and feel really good to walk in (although not in public yet :D ), so much so that I'm going back to the shop today to see if they've got them in black :D (a bit more discrete than bright blue for wearing in public :) )

If anyone's interested, they're from Priceless Shoes (UK - don't know about other countries), cost £ 25, are available up to size 9 (which might be marked as size 8 on the sticker - look inside) and I think, based on the label, the style is called "Spy". They're in red, white, green and blue - didn't notice any black, which is why I'm going back today to check :D

EDIT - They do have black :D , but didn't have any 9s  (not even 9s pretending to be 8s). Also, they're now only £ 15 :D:D

    Andrew

PS - No connection with Priceless Shoes except as a satisfied customer (and convert to lower heeled boots). Don't think they have a website :D

  13. Hi My work environment is a small office (just 3 of us here) in a building (a largeish old house) with other offices occupied by various different companies. I'm sitting behind a desk most of the time, so my feet are hidden. :D The only issue is the tiled corridor outside the office door, we have another office on the other side of this corridor (a meeting/store room) and I have to go along it to get to the toilet and kitchen. Not wanting to alert everyone to my footwear, I tiptoed across the corridor when necessary  (If I keep posting at this rate, I'll soon be out of that "comfy loafer" :D )

Height: Erm... 5'10" or so, I think

    Weight: 15.5 stone (oh dear :D )

Shoe size: 9UK (although can usually comfortably wear a size 8 boot, which is nice, because most high street shops only sell up to size 8!!:D )

What's your favourite heel style: Stiletto

What's your favourite shoe style: Knee & thigh boots

Do you wear your heels outside: Recently started a little bit :)

    What is:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: 3.5 to 4" (for comfort & "walkability")

(;) Your highest heel height: 5" I think

    How often do you wear:

    (a) Your favourite heel height: Daily if possible (morning & evening, but not usually during the day - until recently :D )

(:( Your highest heel height: Erm... when I feel like it, once a month or so, inside only so far

Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes: Depends - bare feet where possible (if I can get the boots on), knee high hosiery if my feet need to be a bit more slippy to get the boots on (like with size 8 boots - I can wear them comfortably, but they can sometimes be a bit tight to get on)

Anything else you wish to add:

I also like wearing riding boots & jodhpurs :D ,but can't ride & don't want to start.

I'm also into railways & railway modelling :D

  15. Hi again

I'm afraid to say I chickened out at lunchtime and put my "normal" shoes back on

There were a number of reasons. First, I had to go into town, and this early in my public heel wearing "career" I thought maybe that was bit much, secondly, I noticed on this morning's outing that I couldn't walk as fast in heels as in "normal" shoes, and I like to get in and out of the town centre as quick as possible, and thirdly, well... I'm just a bit of chicken really :D

One good thing though, I called in at the post office, and a pair of boots I ordered last week had arrived :D These are they (hope this works :) ):-

    http://www.pleaserusa.com/pic/seduce-2013-RLE.jpg

Hopefully, if everyone on the office goes home early (there's only 3 of us) I'll try them on later and drive home in them :D

PS - I'm also waiting for a pair of Seduce 2002 boots as in this thread:-

    http://www.hhplace.org/hhboard/viewtopic.php?t=6648&highlight=seduce+2002

I ordered them at the same time as the 2013s, but they didn't have them stock so I'm waiting for them to cross the Atlantic (being rubber, they should float :D ) I like rubber riding boots, but oddly hadn't ever thought of rubber stiletto boots until I saw those :D;)

  16. Hi I thought I'd share with everyone my first outing in heels. Nothing exciting compared to some, but its my first proper outing with other people around  Previous outings have been in isolated places only. Anyway, this morning I decided that today would be the day, so on the way in to work I stopped in a layby, took off my shoes (normal, boring mens shoes) and put on my boots (black leather, rounded toe, 4" high thicker stiletto heel, size 8 (UK), shafts pierced with small holes to reveal silver underneath with the tops of the shafts curved from back to front (low point front & back, high point in middle of sides, bought last year in Marks & Spencer :D ). I made sure I was wearing a pair of very long trousers which pretty much hide the heel (and the rather nice silver circles and curved tops)!! I drove on (driving in heeled boots is a lot easier than I expected (this wasn't my first time) as long as the boots have a flexible ankle :D ) I arrived at work and went in, making sure to walk on my toes in the tiled hallway (I didn't want to attract too much attention from colleagues) then went about my normal business. Anyway, we needed some milk for the morning tea, so I went to get it from the petrol station at the local Tesco supermarket about 200 yards away. I enjoyed the "clonk" of my heels on the pavement (rubber/plastic tips, so not a metallic "clack") but also felt a little nervous that the noise would attract attention. I also felt that I was walking a little "wiggly". Anyway, no one said anything and I wasn't aware of anyone stopping in their tracks and staring ;) , but on the way back I did hear a car horn, although I didn't look round and it probably wasn't directed at me :D I'm now back in the office, still in my boots :) and feeling kinda pleased with myself (and my feet are getting quite hot) :D:D

  17. Hello I stumbled across this forum when looking for something else. :D Anyway, I'm Andrew, from the North West Midlands in England. I've virtually always been into heels, but didn't buy (or wear) my first pair till 1999 when I was... (counts up on fingers)... 22. Since then I've bought, worn and got rid of various stiletto heeled shoes and boots (I prefer stilettos to anything else). At the moment I've got 2 pairs of 5" heel thigh boots (black patent & white leather), a pair of 5" heel knee boots (black patent), a pair of 4" (or maybe 3", can't remember  ) black leather almost stiletto knee boots, a pair of 3" heel black leather knee boots (bought last week - Marks & Spencer) and a pair of 3" heel grey suede & leather almost stiletto knee boots (bought last week - Top Shop) :D I've also got 2 pairs on order from "Banana Shoes" :D I've also got (off topic, but I'll mention them anyway) 3 pairs of horse riding boots, 1 leather and 2 rubber/synthetic (no, I can't ride, I just like riding boots :) ) Finally, I've recently discovered the joy of wearing high heels in public (albeit rather isolated "public") as I've worn the 2 pairs of leather knee boots in a quiet country lane while trainspotting (yes, I'm a stiletto wearing trainspotter :D ) Surprising how quickly a plastic heel tip gets battered on tarmac :D

  18. Hi Firsst post, so please be gentle :D I seem to remember I had a bit of thing about Wonder Woman's boots when I was little (can't remember how old though, but WW would have been on TV I suppose). I used to try to imagine wearing them, which is odd really, because when I see photos of Wonder Woman now, the boots don't really do anything for me!! I also used to try to draw the perfect (in my opinion) stiletto heeled boot, and can remember filling pages with drawings (which were never quite right  ) Nothing much happened really (except for admiring heels in the street and wanting to try on (but not doing) relatives' and friends mums' heels if I saw them lying around) until 1999. I'd always thought high heels would be really expensive, until I passed a shoe shop in Buxton where they'd got some for £ 20. I didn't buy any, but when I was back at uni I went to a local shoe shop and found a pair of suede look shoes for (I think) £5. They didn't fit (size 7) so I took them back next day and swapped them for a pair of size 8 black patent shoes (they didn't have the sued ones in an 8 :D ) Anyway, I then bought and got rid of various pairs of shoes and boots until we get to today, and I've now got no shoes, but 6 pairs of boots with 2 more on order :D
