  1. I think that some of the girls at Aldo wear high heels because they like them. Aldo sells lots of high heel styles so why not work there if you like heels? It certainly is a great selling tool. It has worked on me more than once! This year I noticed that the heel heights have got even higher at Aldo. They sell platform pumps with 5", 5.5" and even 6" stiletto heels. A few years back, 4" was the highest that you would see at the mall. Although, most of the new styles as mentioned are platforms so the net effect is still about a 4" elevation. Unfortunately this year, a lot of Aldo shoe fit small. I've had to take several pairs of these rounded toe platform pumps back for a refund as they are just too small. I wear a size 11, so no chance to go up one size. The "Capecoral" pumps fit great though! I bought both the red and black patent ones...

  2. My suggestion is to try Nine West shoes. They are good shoes with good padding inside for comfort. Great deals can be had at their Outlet Stores. Try their Freda pumps or the newer Barbe pumps. Both are classic pointed toe stiletto pumps. They also have similar styles with lower heels. Also, their Rocha pumps are a bit higher but with a small platform. Still very tasteful for an office environment.

  3. I stumbled across Gio Hel shoes and boots a while back while on eBay one day. I have dealt with the Italia Boutique and have had excellent service from them. Their shipping is, in my opinion somewhat expensive but very fast. I love their boots and shoes. For the first time since The Little Shoe Box closed, I have found a source of affordable 5 and 6 inch heels that I REALLY like. I love the classic pointed toe stilettos that they have. All leather, no polyurethane here! For me, they fit very well with one exception. The 1969 skinny overknee boots have very narrow calf measurements and are much too small for me. All others that I have tried fit very well. I will never own a Ferrari, but I do have some great Italian shoes and boots! Paul

  4. Daniel, I think that you are right about the toe box. Although I would hope that the sides would stretch a little bit which would help a lot. On a brighter note, I wore them again and they didn't feel so tight. Either I am getting used to them or my feet were a little smaller that day. That sounds silly but apparently feet sometimes swell a bit more than on other days. Some days I can wear my tighter shoes and boots and some days I can't. One of this year's fashion trends is to having shorter pointy toes on woman's shoes. I recently purchased two pairs of pumps from Aldo like this. The styles are "Moos" and "Quinones". I had to take both back because they were too small, unfortunately. As mentioned previously, I don't try them on in the store... Paul

  5. I just recently bought a pair of Aldo Franchette croc. pattern size 11 shoes. As stated previously, the toe box is very tight. After an evening of wearing them, my toes were quite sore. Hopefully this will get better. I wanted the Ledec style black patent shoes, but they were already sold out in size 11. For that matter, so were the Franchette black patent in size 11. I measured mine and the heel is 5.5" high. The platform I estimate to be 1". I like them except for the tight toes. These are my Paris Hilton wannabe shoes.... Paul

  6. I love thigh high boots so I was excited to learn that OTK (over the knee) boots are in style this season. I have purchased two pairs from Aldo and one pair from Le Chateau here in Canada. They are too short to be considered true thigh boots but are definitely over the knee boots. It is great to be able to buy high boots at a mall store! In size 11 no less! The two pair that I bought from Aldo are the "Coonce" 4" heel single sole boots from the fall 2009 collection. I ordered these through my local Aldo store. While in Toronto ON, I bought a pair of "Chappelle" platform boots with a fold over top section and a 5" heel at an Aldo Clearance store. I found the third pair of boots which are (looks-like-leather) platform boots at a Le Chateau Clearance store in Mississauga ON. They are XOXO "Rumor" boots that have a 4.5" tapered heels and a mini platform up front. Lets hope that this fashion trend stays with us for a long time! Paul

  7. Well, if I was selling a line of shoes, I wouldn't sell anything that I wouldn't wear myself... I personally don't have a problem with size 11 feet on women. I don't have a problem with 6 foot tall women (even wearing heels) either. As well as Paris Hilton, I hear that Uma Thurman is also a size 11. So is my favourite fashion consultant for that matter. They could try on my heels ANYTIME!

  8. I am a male with size 11US feet. So, I shouldn't be wearing pointy toe shoes or boots when crossdressed as they make my feet look even bigger. I DON"T CARE!! I LOVE the look of ultra pointy toes and skinny stilettos so I wear them anyway. As long as the shoes fit right, the long toe is not a problem for me. I would wear these Rosa shoes if they made my size. Sadly they don't! Are these shoes practical? Not a chance! But I love them anyway... Paul

  9. So, I see that Paris Hilton now has her own shoe line. When I checked them out on line, I was disapointed to see that they only go up to size 10US. I wear a size 11US so I am out of luck wearing these. Paris is also a size 11US so I guess she can't wear her own shoes. What gives? Paul

  10. I do miss the Little Shoe Box very much. I can't comment on being ripped off because I got everything that I ordered. I have heard of complaints regarding getting orders wrong though. I think that Bubba got it right. I think that the guys making the shoes were Shoemakers, not Marketing and Sales people. That end of the business was their weak point. Sadly it is hard to find REAL LEATHER boots and shoes with really high heels and pointy toes like the LSB made. Particularly at an affordable price. With all their flaws, the LSB made dreams come true with styles, sizes, and heel heights that are hard to find anyware else. Classic, not clunky, heels and platforms. just my 2 cents worth. Paul

  11. I think that their shoes look FABULOUS! I LOVE the extra long pointed toes and they go hand in hand with those super skinny stiletto heels! They are certainly not practical but WHO CARES! Neither are those hobble skirts that Sarah wears in the videos. I would love a pair of black leather courts, but sadly they don't make my size. (sob) I wish that they made knee high or thigh high zip boots as well. I think that they are missing out with not making larger sizes. As well as myself and other male customers, consider this: Apparently Paris Hilton and Uma Thurman both have (US) size 11 feet. Also, my favourite female fashion advisor here at home has size 11 feet. None of these women are hard to look at and are all smaller (clothing) sizes. I urge Roger & Sarah to reconsider this ban on men and women of bigger sizes. I can assure them that if I had a pair of their shoes, I would wear them with care and only with tasteful outfits. Paul

  12. My vote is for Teri Horne. She is the bootlady from www.bootlovers.com. Check it out! She has a collection of fabulous boots including non-platform, platform, and ballet boots. Most of them are 5" or (much) higher!

Check out her blog as well. Lots of boot and glove shots from all over!

    Paul

P.S. My second vote would be for Emily Marylin. She is a fetish model.

  13. Here is how I polish boots or shoes. I learned this in the Canadian Military. As mentioned before, take a polishing cloth (Kiwi makes a good one) and dip it into the polish. Apply the wax in small circles. You can use a toothbrush to apply wax to the "catwalks" between the sole and the shoe. Then, buff with a shoe brush. To obtain a high gloss shine, then buff the shoes with an old nylon stocking or pantyhose. This really brings up the shine! Hope this helps. Paul

  14. Kris, I have tryed on shoes and boots at Kleen Air but otherwise I just buy my size and take them back to the Hotel and try them on. I love Aldo but sometimes they are hit and miss for me. I wear a women's size 11 so sometimes size 41 is ok and sometimes not... I bought a beautiful pair of black stilletto calf boots that were a little too tight. They were a bit too narrow I think, especially with a very pointed toe. Fortunately since then I have bought several pair that fit great! I'll never get tired of stilletto heels and really pointy toes!!

  15. Aaaack! Don't say anything bad about Heike! Of all these German women on the net, she is the best IMHO. Classy and sexy! Love that leather and heels! In her members area she has video clips of her walking (and stuff). She looks great to me. She sounds great too. Listen to those stillettoes click on a hard floor. Mmmmmmmmm! To me she really is The Fetish Queen!

  16. My latest heel purchase is from Sterling Shoes (in Canada). They are white 5" heel wedge platform pumps. They are an open toe sling back pump style with cork heels. they have a slightly tapered 5" heel and a 1" platform. They were on sale for $59.00. Great for summer outfits. These are only the second pair of slingbacks that I own. These shoes are hard to describe. Hope this makes sense.

  17. name: Paul/Paula age: 48 gender: hetro male c.d. location: Canada occupation: Electrician height: 6' weight: 200 lbs. shoe size: women's 11 favorite high heel style: stilletto boots favorite heel height: 4"-5" highest heel height: 6" favorite heels, wear how often: most evenings highest heels, wear how often? rarely do you wear outside? occasionally (to crossdresser club meetings) what do you wear with hh shoes? stay-up stockings mostly, occasionally pantyhose with short skirts, occasionally bare feet (only with pants) anything more? I love to wear all sorts of women's clothes from panties to pumps and bras to boots!! I especially love leather fashions and matching heels...

  18. As everybody knows, wedgies are popular right now. I got on the bandwagon last summer and am continuing this summer. My latest acquistion is a pair of slingback wedgies with an open toe style. They are white faux leather (man-made) with a 5" narrow heel and a 1" platform. The heel is cork or possibly imitation (?) cork. Just the ticket for summer casual/dressy wearing. I bought them at Sterling Shoes here in Canada.

  19. I have a 1996 Mazda MX-6 5 speed with a 2.0L 4 cylinder. It is Hunter Green in colour. Not a high performance car, but very sporty, fun to drive and good on gas. Not that high heel friendly though. When wearing heels, my knees hit the dash. I've adjusted the seat farther back and the steering wheel as high up as it will go so it is ok. When looking at new cars a while back, I was checking out the leg and knee room a bit more closely! I like the new Mazda 6 but it will have to wait till my finances catch up with my appetites... Maybe if I stop buying shoes and stuff.... NAH! Zoom, zoom, zoom! Dawn, I am surprised that you bought a Mercury Marauder after all those Chevys. You didn't want an Impala SS?

  20. I'm new to the group, but this is one of my favourite topics. Shoe & boot shopping! When on vacation in Toronto, my wife and I allways go shoe & boot shopping. Yorkdale Mall is a nice place but as mentioned is a little expensive. I allways look in Brown's Shoes but I haven't bought anything there yet. I allways go to Kleen Air Shoes when looking for fetish shoes. My favourite shoe store is Aldo. Love those stillettoes!! They are a little more expensive but I prefer real leather to manmade materials. They have an Outlet store on Younge street as well as one at the Dixie Outlet Mall in Mississauga. I do like the Square one Mall in Mississauga but I also like going to the big power centre (big box stores) which is south of hwy 401 and west of Hurontario St. I can't remember the name of it offhand. In the USA, I have visited the Shoe Warehouse (in Duluth MN). I have got some good deals there as well. Happy shopping!
