  1. The thread is pretty old, but I have some ideas. Maybe you are still reading  I hope my English is good enough... if you can not understand what I am trying to say... ask  The easiest way: get lace up boots without zip and a padlock. Et voila (see picture). It is very effective (absolutely no chance of getting the boots off), easy and can disappear under your jeans. Chupka by Aldo are terrific high everyday booties that can be worn this way. If the holes are too small use a padlock with a thin steel wire instead of the classic shackle (this kind of padlock is often used as luggage padlock). If you like a more aggressive look, replace the strings by thin steel wire (with vinyl coating, the bare wire would shear the leather very quickly). Crimp a loop at each end of the wire and use, again, a padlock. The problem will be the fastening: you need to cut the wire to the right length. If the loops at the ends are too big to go through the eyelets you may not be able to get in or out, even with the padlock open. Use your intelligence to get around this problem. Shiny stainless steel wire on black leather... oh my god! Other techniques to come, if you are interested.

  2. I buy lots of stuff from chinese eBay sellers. They are the best sellers you can ask for! If you have a problem, just write an email and they will solve it. Well... the quality is... chinese  Do not expect italian footwear! If you can live with this, go for it!

  3. I have bought three pairs of shoes there. The quality is OK, but not super. Fitting depens on the model: some shoes run very small other are normal fit. Pros: + nice designs + fast shipment Cons: - shipping fees - the seller does not combine shipping - after-sale assistence is bad to non-existent - the Buy-it-Now prices are purely fantasy-prices fully out of touch with reality Hope this helps.

  4. Pour la victoire shoes... does anyone know this brand? They look lovely, but they are fairly expensive. The price would be ok... if they are worth it :irked: Any information is welcome! How is the quality? Finish? Are they solid? Is it pig leather or buttery-soft kidskin? Are they comfortable? (OK... this is subjective) And last but not least: do they run small, big or just right?

  5. Some thoughts on this topic:

    • Loboutin is acting like a kindergarten child
    • You just cannot get a patent on a color (even if limited to soles, screwdrivers, condoms or anything else)
    • My girlfriend has some red shoes. The sole is red, too. Can we keep them or should I burn them?
    • My personal opinion: CL shoes are expensive, high... and ugly (most of them).
  6. Notice the brand: "D.Renzi". As I said above, you can have whatever you want printed on the sole/insole. So, if there is a known brand called "Di Renzi" and your name is Daniele Renzi, why not start an own brand called "D.Renzi". It is legal... even if a bit tricky. The shoes are beautiful. If you like them, buy them, but keep in mind a) they are NO designer shoes :irked: they actually cost about 30-40 EUR (the standard pumps)

  7. why these designers come and go so quickly.

Because there is no designer behind those brands. In the Marche region of Italy there are lots of shoe manufacturers. The shoes are pretty classic with an extra inch of heel to make them "designer-like".

Buy 1000 of them and they'll put whatever you want on the sole. So you can create your designer label and sell the shoes on eBay.
