I always wear heels to work (at least 5").

People can hear me coming from miles away

I enjoy the extra height given that I am 5'10" - I enjoy having the guys look up to me.

I think they are both sexy and fetishist. Perhaps more fetishist in the patent leather.

I have two pairs myself, ankle boots and knee boots and I find the knee boots easier to walk in as I feel more securely laced in. That said, I don't go walking for long in them!

Our summer is short, so I wear my stiletto boots with 4 to 5 inches quite often. If it is too hot, i wear stiletto pumps instead.

In Australia, our summers can be a bit longer so I have to resort to pumps when I am outside. Otherwise, boots are always my first choice.

i don't know what kind of car you drive, but some car seats can be adjusted properly for high heels wearer. i love my x5, besides I'd put a nice fur rug on the floor, it protects the bootheels as i rock my boots.

on the other hands, i dont think he has right to tell you to remove your shoes.

I agree with Alicia, show us the law that you can't wear six inch stiletto boots while you drive - I've never had a problem even in thigh boots!

I totally agress in your poll, as i mentioned b4 in this forum. High heels should be office dresscode.

I always wear heels to work (usually 5") - people know when I am coming to a meeting when they hear my heels on the floorboards. I'm not sure if they have helped my career but both the men and women notice my heels (since it does give me some extra height already being 5'10").

I love my heels!

For me it's pointy toe or nothing on a pair of high heels. The only exception is square toes on a nice pair of boots.

I reckon if you are after a pair of boots eithre you get at least knee highs or forget it!

I was managing 5" heels by 18 as I started buying my own shoes and boots and then went up to 6" heels after I turned 20. I can also choose to wear boots with a skirt if I like now too I've also been trying 7" ballet boots over the last few years after giving in to my curiosity. I love the look and feel of them and can last a few hours in them without too much of a problem.

I started practicing in heels at 13 and was allowed to wear them out and about from 14 or 15 onwards. I started borrowing my mother's boots from 16

My workplace does forbid boots higher than the knee but that hasn't stopped me! If I want to wear OTK or thigh boots I'll wear a fairly long skirt. I've not been caught yet even in my laceup stiletto thigh boots!

That's a good idea, how do I go about padding out the toebox? Are there inserts or something I can buy? I want to wear my ballet boots more regularly and this sounds like something that will help!

I wore a leather skirt and knee high stiletto boots boots to school when I was in Year 12 for a casual day. I was told to go home and change but I had some long pants in my locker so I wore those instead but kept the boots

Generally, I will wear five inch heels to work with the odd occasion of six inch heels. In Winter, I rarely pass up the opportunity to wear boots with heels as high. I am also starting to learn how to walk in seven inch ballet boots at home for some fun!

it does adding a certian feeling! I have noticed it, especially this past winter, wearing my black leather lace-up knee boots with a stiletto heel

If I have to interview people sometimes in Winter I will get my knee high laceup stiletto boots out with a leather mini to see if it gets their attention and see how they react.

If that doesn't get their attention my nails do hehe

Roxanne, I like your style! I wore 2-3" stilettos all the way thru school until I got to the 6th form then i wore 5" most days!! Kinda had a lot of guys wanting to be friends with me then!!

What reaction did u get to ur boots?

Well yeah, a lot of guys were friendly and a couple of the teachers disapproved but I didn't care too much. I also caught a couple of the younger male teachers taking a second look if I walked past - hehe!

My female friends thought I was very daring to wear boots like those to school!

In Year 10 I would wear 3" high heels on mufti days and by Year 12 I was up to 5" stiletto laceup high heel boots usually under a pair of jeans (although I did wear them with a skirt a couple of times to see what reaction I got!).
