Sweater dresses seem to be the "in" thing over here this season and I think it's great!
They're warm, comfortable and look great! My S.O. has a few and she looks stunning in them. Showing my legs off isn't my thing - I haven't worn shorts since high school - but I must admit to trying on a sweater dress with my knee-high boots and black stockings last week and I did like the look even on me!
I'm excited to see how you work this style and I can't wait to see the pictures!

Well done on your first outdoor adventure!
Sorry to hear your heels strap broke. Is there any way to repair it? Or would you consider buying a new pair to replace them?
Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of sandals. I don't really like having my toes in the open air. Perhaps while the weather is bad a pair of boots would be better? There's some great choices out, even for those on a budget
Anyway, I hope to read more about your adventures soon!

It depends on what you keep inside.

Hi IT101,
The pumps were bought from New Look in May I think. Long since out of production unfortunately and after a quick Google I can't find any more online, sorry.
A few more pictures of those shoes:
Link to the full album too:(clicky!)

I fully understand where your coming from Jeff.
For me, feeling complete isn't just the heels under my feet, it's the image as a whole.
I think I look like a total fool wearing my typical black or gray dress pants, shirt and tie with black 4" courts because the cut of the pants isn't designed to be anything more than a tube of material that sits above the shoe. Switching the mens pants for the slightly longer, more tailored womans dress pants in the exact color not only looks better, but fits better and in almost all cases costs less from the same store!
've realized though that in this instance, I'm selecting the outfit to match the shoes - the shoes for me are still the pivotal part of the outfit. The desire to wear the shoes brought me to the conclusion that my 'male' wardrobe isn't even close to being good enough for what I want to look like. Correcting that problem, for me at least, isn't going to happen for a long time yet though.
I think I'm not alone when I say that I love to read about your jaunts. Your freestyle fashion continues to inspire the best in us all

Personally I think this is a fantastic way to not only get out there and be yourself in public, but also to set the right foundations with this possible future partner!
Dress up a bit, have a laugh with it and see where it takes you. Yes, it's a very confident thing to do - wearing heels in public and it may work in your favor. If it does, then you've also got the start of 'that talk'.
Regardless of what happens, let us know how it goes, what you wear and don't forget the pics!
Good luck,
Chris

Finally got around to rectifying this little glitch in my streak of outings.
Just got back from an extended lunch where I drove right across town to a supermarket to get my lunch. I had my heels on from the moment my car door closed and didn't take them off until I got back to work. The trip around the shop was quite spectacular. So many people and almost nobody noticed.
Sure, there were the odd raised eyebrow and I swear a bloke switched to another (busier) checkout after noticing my heels but no comments were made and in all honesty the trip was uneventful but for now that's just how I like it

Just bad at remembering faces! I'm the same, if an unknown person changes their clothing between brief conversations, I'll struggle to even recall talking with them until I hear their voice.
Geometric shapes and colors are easier to memorize than the infinitely small details that make up a human face so there's no wonder so many folks struggle with faces. Your not alone and it's nothing to worry about

I'm starting to realize your as addicted to your camera as you are to high heels!
You have some stunning shoes there and by far to many more than I do. Very impressive collection
