  1. My male is kind of indifferent about heels. In fact, the one pair of my shoes he has ever picked out for me by himself are chunky, nearly flat, boots. He doesn't mind, he enjoys them, but he has no great preference for heels, if that makes sense? In other things, yeah, I'll consider his opinion/tastes. No, I don't have him pick clothes for me every day, but, for example, I know he has a strong preference for specific styles of underwear, therefore I have a LOT of those, etc. In fact, I have exactly one thing that I wear knowing he hates. And I'm not giving up my 'sweet little girl' ruffly Hello Kitty PJs for anybody  (and he only hates them because of the cat)

  2. I'd say both. Trying to skirt the safe side of a line, I enjoy restraint and control, and heels are amazing at causing little flutters of those to run through my mind. And at the same time can cause a power trip. The contrast is very fun, interesting, and unnerving. And I love them in general, though I think my main attraction to heels is because of the mental power play I have always associated with them

  3. I wouldn't say so much 'disapproving' or judgmental, but the females in my husbands family get kind of catty about my heels. I think it's just that none of them can/do wear anything over 2 inches and the lowest heels I am comfortable in are about 3 and a half (I can and do wear flat shoes and go barefoot, but for some reason I cannot wear low heels, they're just awkward). So if I'm dressing decently for something, I wear heels they find outrageous. As for random people? No clue. About the only thing I bother noticing shoe wise is when I catch the wearer of a pair of awesome ones giving me weird looks because I've been staring at their shoes for over a minute without realizing it. Easily solved by blurting out the first thing that comes to mind ("Where did those come from? they're amazing").

  4. The problem is I have no way to specify non-zipping on results. I've googled (and searched through boots by brand, and store) a lot and truly cannot find a pair without a zipper, and am officially out of ideas. I'll find them eventually, I hope, I'd hate to think I unintentionally left the only pair of just lace up boots I'll ever find in the closet at a previous apartment. But yeah, I've done about every search I can think of, and about the time I get to the picture of the inside calf is about the time a listing for boots will reveal that they zip.

  5. Okay, Hi, I'm back again. (yay for being able to completely distract myself for unspecified amounts of time, aka, 1 year, and 1 month, almost exactly). I will attempt to not disappear quite so amazingly again. As for the questions that had been asked: Yes, I'm married, and the male does enjoy me in heels, at least occasionally. He's more of a chunky heel/faux work or combat boot type of person, and those really aren't my preferences. But you'll never find him complaining about anything a step up from flip flops or sneakers. As for what I was (and still am) looking for, a pair of thin heeled, no/low platform, lace or button up boots. 'bout 4 or so inch heel. Plain, boring, not show off-ey, but the problem is I don't want the zipper that it seems like every pair of boots I can find in the knee high or so range. It seems like it should not be this difficult to find a pair of rather basic boots. More questions, anybody?

  6. There is a box telling me to go and introduce myself, and who am I to argue? Hiya. I'm here because I was searching for a rather specific type of boot and ended up clicking a link off google, and ya'll seem to have much better luck finding shoes I like than I do, so have been hanging about drooling for a few days. Not a constant heel wearer, or even daily. I can handle 'em, but in my home I run the risk of stepping on fingers and such (mom to a preschooler and an infant) so I tend to run around barefoot most of the time. In any case, HI! ask questions if you'd like, I suck at introductions.
