  1. I came across the Europride parade on 1st july in London, so here is what I caught in terms of heels. I guess walking a parade for an hour or more isn't really conducive to wearing high heels, so I think that's why there weren't that many on display.

  2. It's the reverse with me. I think rounded and square toe caps are ugly. Anything from the classic court to pointy ones you refer to look GOOD to me. - Admittedly tough to people with wide feet/toes, otherwise I agree with jo, just buy the right size shoes and you're fine. Kudos to kneehighs! great post. I met a Dutchman many years ago. When he took a strong dislike to someone, he said he'd like to kick their butt so hard the shoe remains inside. See what pointies are good for?! :D

  3. I'm impressed folks, lots of good heelers. I know the diagonal trick, but think it looks a bit shifty and is dodging the "challenge".

Any photos/vids of those having ticked the first option, wielding the silver salver? :D

... on and off of the escalators in stores...

Hmmm, they're tricky as the heel can get caught in the grooves of the step.

I voted i can but it depends when I try to do it.

Coming home late after party, might be a problem even in bare feet

True - and above all after the party just avoid people - with stilettos in particular - stepping on your hands

... but on the UP direction they atually HELP me get up faster ...

    agree, UP is a breeze.
  4. Walking down stairs gracefully in high heels is perhaps the most difficult thing - not holding on to the banisters, the wall or your friend. How do you "perform"? WARNING: Kiddies, don't try this at home. Falling down the stairs isn't fun. I injured and hurt myself in the process (without HH on), so don't just try for the sake of a silly poll! And don't imperil the glassware and crockery of your Mom either! :D

  5. yes, but there's nothing like the analogue feel of high heels and nylons

Lovely pictures! Is the second one for real? Very cheeky!

    Bob.

There was couple in hiking gear walking past presumably coming up from the car park a mile or so downhill. I guess they saw more than was intended :D:o

    Cheers.

  6. Hi all, I'm thinking of ordering from Bananashoes and would like to ask for your advice, as I see some of you have bought from them before. 1) In your experience, do their shoes tend to be on the small/large side of the size stated or spot on? Their size tables seem to contradict the "translation" I am used to. It says size 8 (UK) is the equivalent of size 41 (EUR), while in my experience it is 42 (EUR). 2) What is your experience as to quality, balance, comfort of their shoes? Thanks folks, CeliaC Of course I'll show pictures in due course when I finally get round to ordering. :D

  7. Thanks wheels! Great Fun, I especially like the foot's arch on the first pic. What did the greenkeeper say? edit: just checked your website: many lovely shoes - and the 7in too!!! No wonder about the arch. Makes me want some of those too.

  8. Thighbootguy:-)

You have got everyone now used to seeing you in stiletto boots that they really will notice, in a minute, when you don't have them on.

    Cheers---

You are 5" shorter, for one thing - people do notice things like that.

You've got a great thing going there. My repect and also thanks for letting in on your exploits. Love the motorcycle pic BTW, think it would be "flat" without the light effects.

  9. Though I'm only a very recent member (though been lurking occasionally), here are my two cents worth.

While personally I don't draw the line at nudity, but wouldn't like to see explicit sexuality on this board, I'm perfectly happy and prepared to stick to the rules of the board and the community. There are other boards covering these topics and no reason why anyone cannot be a member of both and adhere to the respective codes of conduct. Anyway, Firefox and others have fully covered this side of Zimmy's question.

The reason for asking is that i feel that this board has become more and more a board for discussions around crossdressing and the different issues men are facing wearing heels. ...

I think Zimmy has a point here. While I admire and have the highest respect for people taking their fashion statements, heels or other, to the streets ( I do so myself in a more moderate way), I too would like to see more even distribution of the sexes. How about all those with consenting girlfriends/wifes posting some more pictures? (Thanks Sally for helping to tip the scales!) Otherwise I can see the point, that people are taking this for an exclusively male-wears-HH forum and support group.
  10. ... Plus sometimes people ask me in stores to reach stuff that's way up there, and although I don't mind doing it, it sort of makes me feel self-conscious at the same time. ...

At 5'10'' I don't consider myself altitudinally challenged - still - with my heels on it's nice to be able to reach that last teacup in the top kitchen cupboard or wipe the tops of the cupboards without a stepladder.
  11. That's one way to keep your shoes clean :o Do you never take them off?

    Bob.

 Take'em off? ONLY UNDER DURESS!

Great set of pics and great set of legs, Celia C. Any more pics?

    Cheers---

Coming. Don't want to shoot all my arrows at once :D

Now that you mention it, I can see it too. - Funny though, I am not a dancer. A rebel at heart, when everybody started to take dancing lessons at school, I made a point not to. Can't see the point of it to this day, rather sit in the back of the hall with an Einstein or Steven Hawking and talk astrophysics :D:cry:

  13. Thanks folks, your appeciation is very heartwarming and I ... ahemmm, appreciate it very much. The "dress" is really a skirt. It's from SKIN TWO, kind of hobble skirt, except with such a long slit it is still possible to go up and down stairs, if a bit awkwardly. I just checked a pair of my favourite shoes, size 7 1/2. They used to fit me just fine, but for the past few years I can't get into them anymore. - Question: Does this happen to anyone else on this board, that you need bigger sizes than you used to?

  14. I vistited the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull (must have been somewhere like 1997). I hadn't liked whisky before then, but theirs really changed my opinion. It's an unpeated scotch single malt and the output volume of that place isn't that high, so whenever I get to the UK and my stock is running low I bring back a bottle. The Heathrow airport whisky shop has been stocking it for the past few years (perhaps because I have been badgering them about it? :D )

This thread had me look them up on the web and here is an excerpt from their site:

In February of 1998 the highly regarded American spirits magazine "Wine Spectator" featured the results of a "blind" tasting during which 39 of the most popular and established Single Malt Scotch Whiskies were compared.

Of the 39 malts tasted, 5 were deemed to be so good that they merited Classic status, while the rest were divided into the categories "Outstanding", "Very Good" and "Others".

Both malts from the Tobermory Distillery, Tobermory and Ledaig, were awarded "Classic" status, with the following judges comments:

Tobermory "Spicy and exciting. A malt with hay, salt and butter and hints of earth and wood. Concentrated and full of flavour. Superlong aftertaste. Got to love this."

Seems like I 've hit on a good one! (No ice, just a wee drop of water)

  15. Thanks for the warm welcome! - Yes, I mean to post some more. I also love to fiddle around with the photos on my computer, though it takes a lot of time and I don't get to do it as often as I'd like to.

Here's one taken on holidays in Wales - marvellous country!

As for shoe size I am always confused with the American, European (French? English?) sizes, so I don't order online. It also depends on the make of the shoe - usually it's in the low forties.

  16. Hi everyone,

I enjoy wearing high heels, nylons, corsets and all the trimmings. Little wonder I like to read and view all the contributions here. Great job and thanks to the admins/moderators!

Thought I'd reciprocate and share some of mine too.

(I'm testing two different picture hosting services and hope they won't be loading slow).

    Enjoy! :D
