  1. Dingpat: I own a few pairs of smart ladies trousers. Two pairs that come to mind are black, one is wide leg and looks great on me (apparently - I wore them at my wedding) the other pair are kind of obviously female to me, but again I'm told they look good. Both were bought from Topshop about 18 months to 2 years ago, now. Having just checked, the trousers I have are not sold any more, however the styles they have now are very similar. I have a very slim frame, so maybe that helps. I could take some pictures, if you'd like?

  2. Of course I know you're both absolutely right, and thanks for the encouragement. It's just, I have one little problem, which I've posted about before, but still stands. Me and my wife live with my parents until we can get together a deposit for a house, and my parents are not excatly young. I think they would think it a bit weird if I wore that around them, especially if I was in heels. For other people, I really don't mind what they think, even if I do care, but my mum and dad don't need me to shock them like that. Maybe I have it all wrong, and they'd like it. Yeah, right. I'd still have to go past them to leave the house as at least one of them is home during the day. You have no idea how much I want to be able to be free, but until we can move out, it's not going to be easy to keep out of sight.

  3. I feel I could wear the trousers out fine as I'm already comfortable wearing female jeans every day, anyway. I only bought them yesterday so I've not had a chance to wear them outside yet. However, wearing heels is another thing for me. I have worn those boots outside before very late at night, but I'm still not quite to the confidence level of heeling during daylight hours. It's frustrating, and a few times I've decided that I will wear whatever I want and if someone has a problem with that, I won't care. Except, I do care, unfortunatly. I think I need more night time heeling to bring my confidence up and keep it there, but I have to get up at 5:30am all week so it's not really possible. Oh, and ignore my bad hair, I had just got home for a shopping trip and I was a bit cream crackered.

  4. Have you tried eBay? It takes a bit of searching, but I can generally always find something similar to a style I've seen in pictures or on someone's feet. Actually, you've just reminded me of a pair of great boots I saw a lady wearing a few weeks ago. Time to go shopping!

  5. I like all the pictures, but I love the second one. That's the kind of thing I would love to firstly be able to wear outside of my house, and secondly be able to pull off. Fair enough, you can't see above the waist, but the skirt and boots fit you well. I'm so skinny, some size 6 skirts are too big on me, and my thin legs means I've not yet been able to find a nice pair of knee high boots that don't look like wellies. Anyway, my point. You look great in all the pictures, and as loveheel says, if you wear those knee high boots with the short skit, it'd look ace.

  6. Hoverfly: You're right, I did just go out and buy new stuff. Which is why I'm concerned that I'm going away on Tuesday for nearly 7 weeks, and I have to leave my room unlocked for some engineer from British Gas to fix our heating. I'll hide and lock what I can, but otherwise, I know my parents are going to go through my stuff again. I did think about locking some stuff in the boot of my car, but I'm driving to the airport, and the car will be looked after by the parking attendents for as long as I'm away. They're not having my stuff, either. I'm taking my favourite stuff with me, anyway, because I'll find somewhere I can wear my 4" boots. I don't mean to appear as woman (said this before), and I don't consider what I wear as cross-dressing, but I do have skirts, trousers and jeans from TopShop, Miss Sixty, H&M, etc. Now, that's obviously female clothing as it's sold, but it's not female when it's on me. I don't consider it to be male, either. To be honest, it all started with heels. And then I bought knee high boots, and then I wanted to see what they'd be like with a skirt etc etc. Now, I know what I like, and whilst I'd never wear a skirt out, I'm happy to wear boots out under long bootcut trousers, because that's how I'm comfortable. That said, I'm yet to street heel on my own, let alone in the daylight.

  7. The same has happened to me before, just on a bigger scale. I went on holiday when I was 17, and my parents took shoes, boots, trousers and skirts out of my drawers. These were draws under my bed which were facing the wall, so they would have had to move my entire bed out to get in there. Such an invasion of privacy made me quiet angry and upset, but I just couldn't face going to my mum and saying "so, I want my clothes and shoes back". Not that it would have made any difference, she'd already given them to my sister and taken the rest to a charity shop. I was only gone for 2 weeks. Now I use locks.

  8. Well, I've got a good thing going right now. I get all my cigarettes from my fiancée's mum in Romania for nothing. It's kind of a gift for looking after her daughter, or something, I don't know, she's weird. Must be trying to kill me. I do eventually want to give up, but for certain reasons it would be a bad idea right now. All my money is going towards our wedding and everything that comes with that, so I have to think very carefully before I go spending any money. I'm working extra shifts at work, too. Besides, I have too many shoes as it is, I'm a bit of an impulse buyer.

  9. Wow. You're all lovely. I'm not very good at getting clothes. I buy things I like without trying them on. I have jackets that are too small, or are too short etc. My legs are fairly long (take a 33" inside leg, 35" or more with heels) and I think my torso is fairly long, considering I'm only 5' 10". Another thing, because I'm so skinny (27" waist) I find it hard to find jeans that are long that don't fall down. One other reason I wear girls jeans, but even then they're not easy to find. I'll have a think and get back to you. I need trainers, because that's what I wear to work, but having something comfortable to wear around the house would be nice. Except, as I can't wear boots around the house, so I generally wear them in my room. I feel like I'm wasting money buying things I hardly wear. I like the Topaz, though. Something to think about. On the subject of work, I'm covering tomorrow morning, which means I have to be up at 4am, so I doubt I'll be walking anywhere tonight. :D

  10. I typed a long reply, and then the forum went down, so I'll try again. I only get to wear boots during the night/early morning (I start work at 15:30), but I don't really want to be "caught", so I tip-toe around on wooden floors, and am careful not to make too much noise or put any lights on incase I were to wake my parents. I'm a dirty, horrible smoker, too, so I spend a bit of time in my back garden. When I'm out, all my worries go away, and I make noise walking up and down the path, just being happy to be me. It all goes away as soon as I quietly go back inside. I have two male footwear items; tatty old trainers and uncomfortable, ugly, slippery shoes. I'd love to be able to wear a comfortable pair of heeled boots during my day, and I would, because I don't really care what other people think of me, but I do care about my mum and dad as I said previously. I plan to do some street heeling on my own for the first time tonight, if I have the confidence. Also, I can't make the heel meet, but I ask if there is anyone around near me (or driving distence) who would be willing to give me some clue about what to wear. I have lots of clothes, but when I wear them together something just doesn't look right. The only thing that does look right, are my shoes! Mind you, I'm probably being blind. Get in touch if you think you can help.

  11. Danielle, the rather obvious problem we all have is that our parents are older than us. My parents are 40 years older than me, which makes me question if I should be myself around them. Oh, and I've already mentioned, I'm getting married in a month. If my parents were to find out, and assume I'm gay or trying to appear as a woman, well, I don't much care for people who are that close minded. As for driving in shoes and boots. Yeah, I do that, and I've only ever been pulled over once (when I wasn't wearing boots) because my tax disc had fallen off my windscreen. Police have to be professional, and I don't really mind if I get seen by people I don't know, it was my decision to take the risk of wearing them outside of my house. Right now I'm not sleepy (it's only 3am), so I'm freestyling while everyone is asleep. Yay.

  12. I've not been here long, so forgive my ignorence, but how old are you? I'm 20, and my parents can't stop me doing anything, even if I do live in their house. I don't tell my parents because I'm scared how they'll react, and I fear I will have let them down, or put distence between us, or they'll laugh at me. All of the above. If I was in your situation with my mum, I'd just wear heels because if she's willing to almost suggest wearing heels in order to look good, I'd take my chances. I would probably also mention in passing something about wearing heels, or make a joke about it. It's one of those things where only you can decide, because only you know your parents. Unless you've got an understanding sibling to ask (my sister would laugh at me, and her husband who probably beat me to shit for being "a gay"), all anyone can do is to give you the confidence you need to be open about it, if that's what you decide to do. Good luck, whatever you decide.
