  1. Wow, got my ultra's in this morning, and instead of the 6 1/4" heel as advertised, they measure a full 7 1/4"!! Of course, I HAD to practice in my room, even though I didn't even place any padding in yet...LOL

They fit fairly well. But, even though I walk a lot, and very gracefully, in 6" heels, I wasn't expecting how tough these would be! After about 45 minutes of stretching, warming up, and such, I managed to be able to walk back and forth across my 20' room 2 times (only the first would be considered graceful-ish) before my feet were just too tired! 15 more minutes of attempts, and I had to stop.

Just for yucks I put back on my 6"ers and almost fell backwards as it felt like there was no heel there!!

Now, I have 26 days to practice before I wear them to my club's New Year's Eve party, and though I am at least encouraged that I can walk short distances in them, I know there won't be much dancing in these! LOL

First stop today before work?? Aldo's for some shoe padding...LOL

Wow, I have some serious respect for those who can walk a lot in ultra's over 7"!

Figured I'd become a Gold Member with a post about ultra high gold heels! :silly:

    Off to practice some more...

    They look fun!

Question: I see you live in MA, ever go to Teddy's in Cambridge on Mass Ave.?

  2. Can anyone walk smoothly in these? At size 13, the heel is like 7.5 inches and i can barely hobble.

Even though I really like Hollywood Heels and the styles they put out, I have to say the heels wiggle when I wear them my weight is 150-160lbs. shoe size 11US

I have not tried this model however I do own a pair of Illicit and Outrageous, previously owned 2 pairs of Vicious.

  3. The cheapest online store I have found is www.sexycurveslingerie.com, but it's in the US. They usually have free shipping on more than US$50. It is, however, mostly the usual Pleaser shoes, nothing high-end. www.howcool.com has about the same and will send out 10-20% off coupons if you sign up for their newsletter.

I've had good experiences dealing with www.howcool.com

  4. now, this 6ihf high heel style is really my recommendation for people who like extreme high steel heeled shoes, as these are very stable and well walkable for this height. especially those having problems with scream heels will feel the difference - and as to colours everybody can see :silly:

I guess you get what you pay for.

Spending $30-$50 on cheap heels in the past and risking a broken ankle from flimsy heels caving in has made me think twice about what to wear out.

That surface your walking on looks unforgiving.

  5. career? nope, I will never do 24/7 heeling. More 2/7, sometimes up to 9/7, but thats it. This ain't a part of my overall everyday life. Just something I particulary like so much that I plan here and there some hours in to do it.

I fantasize going 24/7 all the time..

Things that prevent me are the negative pressures of society and the difficulty of maintaining a job.

  6. well thanks for that! eBay shops are also ok. For example the sandals in my avatar are only available via ebay...

personally, I'm almost only looking for very high, but single sole shoes. And with a short tip. Hollywood Heels and The Highest Heel had some great styles but unfortunally they are currently all gone.

But - and thats kinda good news - I was able to speak to a nice support guy who took time to really answer my question, and they are currently looking for a new manufacturer for their ultra heigh heels. I hope they will soon find one, and I'm sure then we'll get back the great ol' ultra heel styles... :silly:

I can only speak for my own experiences.

Hollywood heels didn't have much support on their heels, very flimsy..

I own a pair of Outrageous in Zebra and a pair of Illicit in Leopard.

I have previously owned 2 pairs of Vicious one in Black and the other Red.

In all cases the heel of these shoes bent while walking.

My weight is 155/160ish, shoe size 11US.

Great for the bedroom but not so much for a stroll through the city.
