  1. Well... Shortly the topic is: "is wearing ballet boots like wearing pointe shoes? and the posture is the same?". Some people answer asking what bb are, others says that is different because the foot is not as free as in pointe shoes. A girls says that it could be useful for ballet training and she wish to try them on. Another girl says that it will be possible to train herself while she do some other tasks like watching tv or something, and she could be do some little walk around the house she will have no problems at all. Finally one of the girls says that those are fetish shoes, and another reply that she saw them on Beyoncé, and another girl says to have seen bb during a dance fair in Florence last year. Claudia

  2. I'd guess that Italian wages (and probably most of Europe) are similar to what we have in the USA. In that sense, I'm sure it's very tough for manufacturers not to want to shift production to places like Romania, Vietnam, Thailand, China, where their workers are probably paid pennies on the dollar compared to wages in industrialized nations.

Yes, is true, but the production of "italian shoes" is already shifted to foreign places since years. Even for luxury products.

The italian makers provides machinery, know-how and materials (this is the "made in Italy" you see under the soles) and asian people do the job for way less than italians or europeans workers.

Then they wonders why their products are often copied from China and sold as original...

  3. It's an Italian order for Italian policewomen, ordered in Romania

Why Italians order shows in Romanie, when we in Italy have great shoemakers?? Who really knows?

    Maybe... for the price

    Maybe... for some "tangente"

Mainly for the price (italian shoemakers are too expensive for shoes like these), but I didn't exclude the second option

  4. Then there is this link to an article

    http://jezebel.com/gossip/the-da-wears-prada/italy-orders-stilettos-for-lady-cops-and-it-gets-so-much-more-ridiculous-304767.php

featuring this photo, sorry its a bit small.

    Yummy.

Hi, I'm italian, and unfortunately (for us) a 2/3 of this article is wrong: the lady in the picture is not an italian policewoman, and there's no stielttos planned for our policewomen, so far.

The true part is that italian police ordered 16000 pair of shoes for their policewomen from Romania, whitout knowing that romanian sizes are a bit different than italian ones. So, when the shoes arrived, the policewomen discovered by themselves the size difference (2 sizes too small).

And, BTW, no stilettos, but ugly boring rounded toe pumps with a broad and low heel...

    see the video

    Bye

  5. My latest shoes (well, not so recent purchase, but the last one) are these:

    Posted Image Posted Image

from Ebay, used just one time to a wedding (as stated by the seller), in fact they were pretty new. But the owner is not a great heel-wearer, as you see from the heels little bent...

And this one is with the shoes on my feet:

    What do you think?

  6. Thanks for all your advices. As you all said (and I just feared it), it's only matter of training, and training in very high heels before the 7-inchers... Then, since I haven't any heel over 5 inch and I just can't wear any heel around the home, I will have hard time to get "used" to those shoes... Anyway, how about the brand The Highest Heel? And, lastly, are maybe easier to walk the ballet shoes than the 7-inchers? I think so because in 7 inch I see my toes extremely bent, and this is the problem for bent knees. Or I im wrong? Claudia (sorry for my english...)

  7. Hi to all! I'm new here (for posting, not for lurking :D ) and I need some advices about my new 7 inch heels. They are a pair of Oxford from The Highest Heel, in patent leather, bought off from Ebay for only 30 euros (about 35 USD). I know that aren't kitten heels, but I want to know if someday in the future I will be able to walk decently in them. Might I add that the size is 10M US, and I wear a 39-40EUR. The seller listed them as 41EUR. Is the right size (one size bigger for this type of shoes I've read on many sites)? Or maybe is this the problem? Thanks Claudia
