  1. Where do you wear them and who compliments you?

I travel every week, and I wear them when I'm not working - in airports, on planes, in restaurants, shopping malls, clothing stores, misc retail stores like groceries, walmart, best buy, etc. I've worn them to the movie theater - pretty much anywhere I go. Last night when I returned to my hotel the woman at the front counter raved about them and wanted to know where I bought them. A few weeks ago I stood near a couple on a crowded bus and the woman commented on how much she liked the boots, and then said she was jealous! I've had compliments from random people, airport security personnel (usually female), and once was complimented by a male bus driver.

  2. AwayInHeels,

Great boots where did you find them?

I just ordered new 4" heel boots to day from LaneBryant.com the boot I'll wear with my Knit jegging, DARK RINSE DENIM, 18T jeans that are also from LaneBryant and I think will look fabulous with the boots, hell I'm wearing both to Disneyland up in LA this weekend with a lady friend so I'll have an androgynes style and the nice thing about her is that she supports me.

I found them at a Shoe Show store. They had my size, 12M, in black or white, but the black matched my jacket. Enjoy Disneyland, and congrats on your supportive friend!

  3. I went out tonight wearing a man's sweater, women's skinny jeans and my black boots. I stopped in to a few stores to shop for a new TV, picked up dinner at a restaurant, then went back to my hotel. I got very few reactions until I got to the hotel. The sales people looked slightly surprised for a split second, but answered all of my questions and treated me very nicely. The other customers either didn't notice or didn't care. The more I wear heels out, with my head held high and a smile on my face, the more I enjoy it. I don't try to cover my heels or fade into the background. When people like my shoes, they tell me, and we often have a nice conversation. When people don't like my shoes or don't approve, they try to hide their reaction, so I don't worry about it. When I got back to the hotel, my key would not open the side door, so I went to the front desk. The woman took care of the issue, and as I started to walk away she lowered her voice (there was nobody else around) and said "can I ask a quick question?" She went on to say she loved my boots, they look so great, and wanted to know where I bought them. We chatted a bit, then she said she noticed my boots when I walked in, but could she take a closer look? I just love showing off my boots, and I left feeling quite wonderful. It's funny, I spent so many years of my life looking at women and wishing I could wear the same shoes they were wearing, and now, at least once a week, women stop me to say they wish they they had the same shoes as me!

  4. Hi ! and welcome !

How high your heels are when outing ? If you do it almost every week you should have some good stories to tell us or good advices . Any remarks at airport through security controls ?

I wear all of my shoes out - everything from flats to 4 1/4 inch stilettos. I'll post some stories when I have a bit more time, but yesterday I wore my calf boots with 4 inch stilettos. When I got off the plane and left the secure area, the female guard noticed and said "Ooooh, I like your boots!" I said "thank you," and as I walked away she said something like "I wish I could walk in those, but not anymore."
  5. Hi All, I live in Florida, but I travel around the US & Canada every week for work. I'm writing from New York today, the same city where I bought my first pair of high heels many years ago. I'm male, 46 years old, married, and have loved seeing and wearing high heels since I was a little boy. I wear boring shoes at home out of respect for my wife, but when I'm traveling I go out in heels most of the time outside of work - restaurants, shopping, airports, or pretty much anywhere else. Glad I found this forum, and looking forward to meeting & sharing.
