Okay, better late than never: Short update about the "shoesusa.com" order. The shoes arrived in perfect condition down here in Ecuador (was just quite expensive to clear them in customs here - but hey, other story :-) and my wife loved them. They are wider than normal shoes and we ordered them with a thick, soft insole for wear comfort. She did use them already a few times and was happy about the improved wearing comfort. I have to absolutely agree. We went to Miami 2 weeks ago and I saw those ugly things e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. All shoe stores sold them in every color and size available (and yeah, I also think they only sell them 3 sizes too big). My wife is not such a great high heels fan or shoe addicted as I am, but even she had to say that they are stone-ugly the first time she saw somebody wearing them. Worst moment was in the Bayside Marketplace when a whole family (husband, wife and 2 daughters) were wearing them in different hideous colors. Please stop this madness and bring 8 inch platform shoes in fashion !! (hehehe, okay the last sentence was more a wish than meant seriously

Same situation here, my wife has wider than normal feet and it's hard to find some cool high heels for her which actually fit - not for 5 minute use only.

We ordered now some heels at www.shoesusa.com, this is the first website I found where you can choose a custom option of "narrow", "normal" or "wide" when ordering your favourite style of heels. We ordered them in her normal size 8, but with the "wide" option. They are on their way down to Ecuador at the moment, I will update this with first-hand news when they arrive. Hope this helps,

What they're referring to is toe cleavage in closed pumps.

Me personally, I don't like to see women in pumps with toe cleavage. In my opinion, those shoes have this "granny look", maybe I got the idea cause in Switzerland a lot of elder women wear flat sandals with a toe cleavage. Never liked the look, toes look squeezed and odd in those type of shoes. But hey - just my opinion :-) Closed pumps - that's another story :-)

Agree with you, I imagine they take some time to learn how to walk in them (my wife needed some time, but masters 6" platforms now in a wonderful way) and especially when somebody can walk in them without bouncing from one wall to the other :-) they look extremely sexy IMHO. Wearing them outside...hm... I was in the lucky situation to "convince" my wife to wear them for some rare occasions outside, but she doesn't feel too comfortable with them in public (depends also where you live and how accepted stuff like this is - we live in a latinamerican country, very religious and with people who love to have prejudgments about other people). Questions is for the girls, I'm a guy, but we recently ordered some shoes for my wife, does that count as "for the girls" ? :-) Ordered two pairs of SARA155 platform sandals at shoes USA, and with the shipping to Ecuador each pair comes up to USD 200 which is quite expensive.. but I heard some good news about the quality of the shoes there and most of all - they should be very comfortable. Now let's hope that our expectations will be fulfilled - they are in manufacturing right now and hopefully in about 30 days they should be here...

Congratulations - I think you are in the same situation as I am/was: You LOVE seeing women in High Heels, but your partner/wife/girlfriend doesn't really understand what this fetish is all about (of course - if you don't have the fetish, it's kinda hard to understand what others see in it). Communication is the key, explaining, having patience and never loosing hope - one day happens, what happened to you now! I have to out myself here as an absolut platform heels lover - I don't wear heels personally, but seeing women in platform heels is the most sexy thing that could happen to me. Can't share the opinion about platform heels looking clumsy - especially the view of some platform heels (with stiletto heel) from the front is very, very sexy IMHO. Best combination in my point of view are platform heels with any kind of trousers - jeans, normal trousers etc. Don't know why, but that combination seems very sexy to me - maybe the platform heel fetishist here will understand me :-)

Sorry girls and guys, I visited this forum today again after a long time (still thinking how I could get my wife in this forum too and wake her interest :-) and found this post i frankly couldn't even remember. I remember searching a high heel store in Vegas like crazy before my departure, but didn't remember posting that in here (i'm 30 - i'm getting old lol). Anyways, would like to update this topic if anybody maybe will be in the same situation of searching a shoe store - i found one. It's called "Red Shoes" on 4011 W Sahara Ave. Quite outside of the "strip" and I found it by surprise in a Yahoo Store Directory i think. The photo store I went to pick some stuff for my camera up was very close so I stopped by. Nice variety, they have about 150 pairs of stiletto pumps and platform heels, unfortunately not all models were available in all sizes (my wife wears size 8, really no special size i thought, but exactly the coolest platforms I've seen in there were not available in 8, but sizes much smaller). They sell the known platform shoe brands like Pleaser etc., prices are quite high compared to the same shoes in Internet stores (like 50 - 70 dollars a pair). At the end I bought 3 pairs in there for my wife, altough the girl attending me was talking and looking at me as I would be an alien (don't think my spoken english is THAT bad and can't imagine that I was the first man buying platforms for his wife in that store). Making a long story short: Found a place in Vegas, but didn't reach up to my expectations 100%. My wife always complains about the "stripper look" of the platform shoes (man made materials) and I only found one pair in the shop with a genuine leather upper finish. Found that website "shoesusa.com" a few days ago in the internet and I think it's the first shoe store in the internet I found which offers really sexy platform high heels but made of "normal" material, say leather etc. and not everything in glossy patent leather and built-in lights and tip chars lol. I will be in Las Vegas next month for a convention and would like to buy my wife some PLATFORM HIGH HEELS, 6" more or less. Now I'm investigating in the internet where to buy those shoes in Las Vegas - and can't find anything! In Las Vegas! The city where I have seen more women in platform high heels than anywhere else in the world..... Can't be, can it ? Does anybody knows where I can find in Las Vegas a store with platform high heels and a nice variety of them ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!
