  1. I have this shoe. And I have to say that it runs pretty true to size in most cases. Of course everyone fits a bit differently. But unless you tend to have to go up a size in other shoe brands, I'd stay true to size first. And practically all places you buy from will take the return and give you a different size if needed. Check their return policy. As for the quality of the shoe, I've had no problems with it under normal wearing conditions. Is it as good of quality as the more expensive brands? Of course not and they arnt meant to be. But they do the job and they dont cost much to replace so you won't mind much if you bang or scuff them up.

  2. I know how that is. I had to navigate a brick walkway to the town office just yesterday. Unmortered brick with just dirt inbetween. I swear it's a conspiracy against stiletto wearers by either people who enjoy watching others try to walk on this disaster just waiting to happen or those who just hate heels and heel wearers.

They just dont keep us in mind when they are designing these things. They assume everyone wears flats.
  3. in some parts of the US, even the sidewalks are being covered with bricks that can catch heels. Not to mention the whole grate system in the inner cities that are deadly to heels of all types (except the super chunky ones)

I don't know who started that movement, but it's growing.

I agree. On some of the newer layed sidewalks the cracks are awfully large. Im almost forced to actually try to avoid the cracks. And the downtown areas in my city are brutal. They have the little uneven brick pavements too in some spots that they think helps make the area look better. I hate walking on it and i am usually trying to go around it as much as I can.

It had to be. I wonder if that heel will grow in the future. Can you see them with a 5" heel?

    Cheers---

The trend on these slippers is starting to fade. So now they are being forced to start throwing a heel on it to make it look better.

Put a good heel on it, get rid of the floral design on the front, and make a few other little changes and it might almost be somewhat acceptable.

Kind of like what they did to flip-flops to make them more fashionable.

  5. If someone wants to wear them at home, that's their business. But I dont think they are appropriate for outdoor wear. They ruin any outfit. And in my opinion, it makes the wearer look cheap. If comfort is the issue, there are so many stylish shoes out there that are comfortable and can make you look good and sexy. These chinese slippers are the lowest of the low in my opinion.

  6. I usually wear 4" for daily wear. That is comfortable for me. I can go all day in them without any problems at all. I've done 4 1/2 and 5 once in a while if I don't plan on walking a whole lot. Because those will take a toll on me after awhile. But you would very rarely see me wearing anything lower than 4".

  7. Welcome abaord, jessica01! Can't say I've seen those plastic chinese slippers, but they sound horrid. As for flip-flop, I've seen too many women wearing them when they just shouldn't. Example: There is a teller at my bank who is very attractive and dresses well except for cheap rubber flip-flops. If only she was able to see herself in a pair of heels, or even in a real low heeled shoe.

    Thanks for the welcome...

here is a pic of those slippers if you wanted to know...

Ive seen flipflops worn in inappropriate places as well. I find it irritating too.

  8. Whoever is responsible for getting these things in style should be arrested by police and locked away for a very long time. You know those plastic chinese slippers with the mesh toes? You can buy like 10 for $5? I hate those things with a passion. I don't personally like flip-flops either. I have only 1 pair that i wear if I am going to the beach. But i can tolerate other women wearing flip-flops as long as it goes with the outfit. But...those chinese slippers get me mad whenever I see them.
