Wow, you're the first person that I've spoken with (in person or online) that has had a good experience with the paypal protection. Most people just laugh. You're better off having a chat with the credit card company.
If you check the feedback, as you do, and also email them to ask them information, you can generally get a feel for the seller. If they respond quickly and seem on the up-and-up, then chances are you'll do fine.
Glad to hear it works for some.
I can make me the 2nd person you "know" that has successfully used Paypal protection and won... now to get the "seller" to stop sending me harassing emails

See? Now that should be the common practice for ALL businesses! I think it would make life SO much simpler and a lot happier.
But to think of this... with our dress code.. you see way too many pairs of sweats/warm up pants (my self included) and t-shirts etc.... BUT if someone (male or especially female) dresses up.. it is really noticed (which i love when the ladies do actually wear heels and pantyhose/stockings everyone thinks you have a job interview :drinking:

Ellen-Jay:-)
You won't find Dawn wearing socks with her heels either.
Cheers---
Dawn HH
While it has it's attraction, you won't find me wearing them either.

What Firefox said is quite true. Being able to wear heels at one's place of work depends on what the work happens to be. I work in an office environment (I call it "cubicleville") where supervisors are more concerned with getting the daily work done and not so much on what employees wear.
Heck, I've never even seen a posted list or guidelines regarding a dress code at where I work. The only hard and fast rule is casual wear (jeans, sneakers, etc.) only on Fridays. The dress on Mondays through Thursdays is best described as business casual. For the men, no suits are required, just nice shirts and dress pants, not many even bother with ties or jackets.
At the risk of tooting my own horn, I like to think I'm probably the best dressed male in the facility, and that because I have to wear clothes as nice as my shoes. Dockers and polo shirts are a major no-no with my pumps. And for sure I wear higher heels than pretty much ALL the women there. There are a few who come moderately close, but not many.
As I've stated on previous posts, I've had no problems with being accepted for the shoes I choose to wear at work. My immediate supervisor absolutely gushes at my shoes. It certainly helps that I'm a good worker with a good personality. So, it can work, it all depends on the environment.
Like Jeffb says... My company states in my dept. "we don't really care what you wear, just that you are here and work hard" (common sense normally prevails (like no tube tops etc...)

Perhaps this is just me, but I don't feel dressed without hosiery. The notion of going barefoot simply doesn't appeal to me. <SNIP>
I completely agree and you WILL NOT catch me dressed and barelegged.

Hi all. Thanks for your interest. I work in a fashion shop in the UK, my co-workers (who are all female) all support my alternative fashions. This time of year as it's cold I tend to wear knee-high boots with a smart skirt & top. My boss has no problems with this and is always interested to see what I am wearing. The boots I wear mostly are 2 - 3" block heeled in black & 1 pair in brown croc. Sometimes I wear stilleto heeled boots of about the same height, but they are rather loud on the hard floor!
Reactions have been nearly all positive by people I have met & I'm getting quite well-known for my skirt wearing around here now. I have been wearing heels & skirts to work for over a year now so I think most people have got used to it. You can see some pictures of my outfits here:
(Including my not-so-subtle leopard-print boots!)
I like the last few (but those are more my :style:, the business looking ones <nice halloween stocking/pantyhose BTW>), everyone has an opinion and take what you will from each and be yourself.

Yet another lovely pic... Thank and compliments to your wife
