Are boots just for winter?

I've just had an evening out wearing a pair of platform boots and didn't get too hot. Not bad for the middle of July. I popped home after work for a quick shower and a respray of antiperspirant, zipped myself into my boots and went out again. It just goes to show you really can do boots all year round, especially for short periods. Alexa

How high up your leg do your platform boots go Alexa?

I love having a sturdy pair of boots for certain activities, even in the summer. It makes me feel so much more confident!

They were my Demonia Stack platforms. Only calf length, but I wore them with a long skirt so all that was showing at ground level was the platforms of the boots. That's a look I really like - it implies your shoes are really high. Alexa

I love the tease effect like that Alexa is doing with her long skirt and only the platform of her boots showing. I also like it when the skirt goes to the top of my boots so only my skirt and boots are showing, no skin. Guys imagination seems to really run wild then as they wish to see more but can't :irked:

Today the temperature is 27°C and I am wearing boots bare foot. I like the contact of the leather on my leg, feet and toes. I like this feeling. Kiss Sab

High heels are the most exciting thing of life silly.gif !

Twenty seven celsius sounds very warm for boots to me! And I consider myself to be something of a boot addict. I tend to find that in really warm weather boots are OK for a couple of hours socialising in the evening but would be a bit hot and sticky for all day wear. Maybe if I was working at a desk and could unzip them for part of the time it would be easier. In fact, I've got a pair of boots here in the office in a drawer, just in case I feel like wearing them for a particular appointment or event. That way I can be booted when it really counts and yet keep my feet reasonably fresh for the day. Alexa

I am lucky I live in northwestern Germany, by the North Sea where even the summer temperatures rarely rise above +23C. Today, the high briefly hit +22C but remained in the teens for most of the day except the early afternoon time. The sea breeze also helps keep things cool. Because of the cool temperatures here, I get to wear my knee high boots for most of the summer. If it reaches the mid-twenties then I go down to my ankle boots and if it goes above that, I have to go for my pumps. There are some guys at the office who obviously like to see a lady's legs. They are all going nuts in that most of them have never seen mine or only caught very brief glimpses of my legs! My legs are almost always encased in leather or suede and nylons. Tomorrow, the weather forecast calls for a high of +30C. After reading what Alexa has done, I am thinking of doing this. I am going to wear a pair of knee high suede boots to work in the morning when it is cool. As they day heats up, I will switch to a pair of ankle boots and after lunch, when it gets really hot, I will switch to a pair of platform pumps. As it cools throughout the day, I will switch back to my ankle boots for when I go home. What do you think of that plan girls? Do you think it will drive the guys wild?

Incredible! You manage to wear boots in Indonesia & Singapore, two tropical places known for their palm trees and sunshine. You mentioned you wore a pair of over the knee boots in Singapore. What material is the shaft of the boot? Is it airtight leather or the more breathable suede?

I have a very brief stay in hot Milan. This is one of the fashion capitals of the world. Women here can walk on such high heels I don't want to be the stuffy German who has to wear flats. The higher the heel, the more padding I need in order to stay comfortable. Thus I have been going around in a pair of knee high suede boots with fur lining and several pairs of pantyhose. However, the weather has gotten so hot, I almost considered abandoning my boots for pumps until I read your inspirational message ........ now I am not sure whether to keep my high heeled boots on or go with low heeled pumps ......

It’s cool and windy today and I’m wasting time in the office before my next meeting by writing things on here and admiring my feet in a new pair of platform boots. It’s good boot weather again thank goodness, and I’m making the most of it.
