Their weather forecasters usually stand in front of a large screen to bring us the weather. Because of this we get see their female forecasters entirely - head to heels. Stilletos feature highly with their weather girls. Our FOX 11 news (KTTV/Los Angeles), has a camera that shows the shoes of the "weather babes" quite frequently. ...Head to toe coverage taking up about 75% of the vertical screen. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a video on You Tube showing this. I may have to figure out how to use You Tube as it's disappointing not to have an example to share! It looks like many of the networks have realized that one way to grab the viewer's attention, is to have a very nice looking, nicely dressed female weartherperson present the weather. The recent trend of 'full-length' female presenters wearing stiletto heels is just an extension of the same thing. What would DP of Littlehampton prefer them to wear? --- Ugg boots? [To elucidate for those unfamiliar with UK rhyming slang: There is a modest town in England called 'Hampton Wick' = rhyming slang for the male organ (aka p***k). I am a big fan of Lucy Verasamy and watch Sky News every morning to get my fix of her. Anyway, I had the absolute delight of standing next to her at a bar in London a few months ago. She was with some friends and I overheard her talking about how she wears heels on TV (sadly she wasn't wearing them that day :-( ) and they are at least 3 inches high.
