Bought these at Ricky Sarkany yesterday.

I'm not that fond of platforms but, as I missed the boots in winter I felt the model was worth while.

15.5cm high and a 4.5 platform.

This seems to be a very popular style of high heel. Those are a very pretty color and design and they are very sexy. Congratulations on your purchase.

Majo. They are hot hot I love platforms, as with single soles I get sand in my toes.

Just found these on sale at my favorite place in an 11W. They don't even feel like high heels. Interesting thing. Payless now publishes reviews of their styles on their web site and two of the three reviews for this style are from males. (Soon to be 3 of 4).

My newer Cole Haan pumps, still need to wear them in public though.

I have had my eye on those for a while, but the price has always been a stopper, even on sale (when they're still about $125!). They look nice, and please do give us a review of their comfort level.

My wife asked my why I bother going to Nordstrom Rack. True, most trips are not productive, but when they are, they are definitely worth it. Like this past week, when I got these in three colors.

I admit that the Rack doesn't always have great stuff, but there's usually something that I have trouble not buying....lol. The pair in your picture look pretty nice!

Actually I'm at a good point now. For the public heeling I do, the Naturalizer Giddy ankle boots I recently bought are about as perfect as I could hope for, except for being in 12W instead of 13 or 13W. I'd love them in a 13, but doubt I'd find something else in a 13 that all around is better. I have a nice variety of other heels (most in 13) that fit well, with heel heights from 2 7/8" to 4 7/8", some of I would wear outside. It probably helps that knowing there's little I can get (because of my size), I'm not as much into new shoes as others. If I was a size 8-10, I'm sure I'd be filled with shoe-addict tendencies.

I think the only shoe I'd really like to try would be a tall boot. Have to think that would feel different from anything else I own. But I'm not what I'd do in them I couldn't do in the ankle boots (I'd wear jeans over them), and I really don't need another large boot box to try to store.

jwhite, I just bought the Naturalizer Glassy boots, which are bacially the tall version of the Giddy. I thought that you indicated in an earlier post that you were getting both? Anyway, I tried an 11, as that was as large of a size as the store carried, and they were way too snug to be considered comfortable. Ended up ordering a 12W on-line. I hope they fit OK. I couldn't pass up the price. Bought them from Carson Pirie Scott. Were on sale for $69.95, got an additional 15% off, and free shipping! The cheapest I had seen these anywhere else was about $120, so I feel fourtunate!

There was a thread when someone else had gotten the Glassy, and I mentioned I got the Giddy [who's making up these names??]. I got mine from naturalizer.com for $69.99 + $6.50 shipping, so you got an even better price than me. What's your usual size? I'm a 13 man's, so the 12W in women's was tight, but wearable. If you're a 12 or smaller, you'll probablly be okay. While the two are almost identical from the ankle-down, up, it's a different story. The Glassy is a combination of leather and suede (mostly suede) on the upper portion. Plus there's a studded strap at the rear of the heel. If you're going for discretion (as I am), neither do much to help the cause. I'll be curious to read your comments after you get yours.

Wow, I am surprised that you could get in to the 12W. I wear a men's 10.5 W. I tried an 11 M and could not wear them as the were crunching my right foot. I ordered a 12W and am hoping for a decent fit. Watch, they'll probably be too big! lol. Anyway, I am also looking for discretion and feel that the tall shaft and studded strap won't be seen under longer jeans, so I'm not too concrened about that. Actually giving some thought to removing the studded strap eventually. I'll post a note when they arrive.

I brought these shoes the other day while out christmas shopping from a store called 'Betts' here in Australia and even tried them on in store to make sure I got the right size and good thing I did because the size I thought I was, was slightly too small for me. Bigger bonus was they were half price.... score for me:smile:

New Shoes

Well what can you say we went shopping yesterday and my wife suggested that I wear a pair of ankle boots, single sole with a 3.5” ( 7.5cm)heel. We walked quite a lot but I did not like the single sole, I suppose once you got used to the higher heel and platform you do not want to wear single sole shoes. After the shopping we went to Monte Casino to get tickets for the movies and as we had a bit of time to spare walked around. Bought a pair of Iron Fist heels for my wife and as we walked around I came across this small shop that are selling Pleaser HHS. I said to her that I liked them and as we walked along she said that we must go back and she will buy me a pair of HHS. I got myself a pair of Pleaser Indulge 543 black with a 14.5 cm (6.5”) heel and a 3cm platform. My wife tried the size US 10 but they were too small and also the US 11 and we had to settle for a size us 12. I could not wait to get home to try them on and was very surprised of how easy I could walk with the higher heels. I was wearing them for at least 3 hours. As been said in other posts you always want to go higher.:)

Great shoes, jay jay - especially like the ankle straps with the holes (the height, platform and black shiny colour is also perfect - must look for some myself :lmao:

Hi Jay Jay, I have been supporting the Waners American Trade Store since I found their little shop at the Carnival City Casino. They are a bit expencive, but at least you can feed your heeling hunger quickly. I am so glad you found them. I wrote in one of my very early posts about them. They have always been very helpful. They even imported a pair of 5" velvet pumps for me that I saw on the JANTE website. Have a great holiday season. Cheers LegzG

Not normally an open toe shoe lover, but loved the lacey design of these and a bargain £12.00 plus postage from big shoe boutique. Available up to a UK11. Very classy!!! Bought myself a pair.

Great looking shoes - very classy in deed (have a similar pair myself :) Thanks for mentioning the Big Shoe Boutique too - hope they start shipping outside the UK soon...

Well, I recieved the Glassy boots in size 12W after returning the 11M. As I indicated earlier, the 11M was much too tight, and actually hurt my right foot. No way I could wear them. So based on that, I went to the 12W rather than the 11W or the 12M. Well, much to my chagrin, they were quite a bit too large. My left foot did not reach the back of the boot when standing, and even the right foot would slide down into the boot a bit. I would guess the size I really need is an 11.5W, which of course they do not make. So these boots, despite being quite nice looking and something I was willing to wear in pubkic. went back to the store. I do have to add that the slope of the arch and heel in these was rather steep and did not really hit the right part of my foot. I would have guessed that they would not have been overly comfortable for me to wear. It seems that the shoes that are more comfortable for me have a more pronounced curve in the arch area, which then leaves the heel with a bit less of an angle. If anyone is aware of the Insolia design, that is the type of design that I am most comfortable wearing.

Well,.. So based on that, I went to the 12W rather than the 11W or the 12M. Well, much to my chagrin, they were quite a bit too large...

Assuming they are still available, any thoughts on trying the other sizes? if you did, I'd suggest ordering both, so you can compare which one is the better one, then decide if that one is good enough.

I had a similar issue with a pair of pumps I was trying to buy from Payless. Naturally I ordered the largest size they had (13W), which is the size I've tried to order my shoes in from them (or else a 13M, if that's all that's available). Surprisingly, the 13W was too large. I don't remember if on the same order, or a different order, but I ended up ordering a 12W and a 13M. I think I ended up keeping the 13M, with I remember now some heel and ball of foot pads, to help take up some of the excessive room that the 13.

While unfortunate that they pair you had might be too large, I'd much rather hear an occasional, "they were too large", instead of the constant, "they're too small" that us larger-size people need to endure.
