Master Resource: General Public Discussions of men in heels

It's all nice to see. The rise is low, companies are starting to come around but let's offer some truer high heels for men.

Not surprised about pricing, they are in business and demand is outstripping supply as there are still minimal choices so why not maximize profits.

I'll continue my purchases from the femme side simply because I  pay 25% as much and get far Sexier heels as well.

Steve Madden has a couple heeled boots.

it's odd that the prices for mens boots are a lot higher then their womens models.

Quite apart from the silly prices, the first Madden pair would suit Frankenstein's monster and the second offer nothing that is not already available elsewhere.   But heels are heels ...

The Vasini boots look good but are again far too expensive.

Ain't no way I would ever pay 200 bucks for piece of crap Steve Maddens. And I have a ton of Steve Maddens. They are a low quality shoe, in my experience. Too bad for me, a lot of them are so cute!

So, there is a way ...?  😜

I agree with our esteemed NC member. The choices on the women’s side are far far greater and less expensive. If you’re lucky enough to fit shopping on that side I highly recommend it. As more demand creates more supply only then will prices come down. Besides who else rocks pumps better with dress pants than this guy!? Heels for thought. HinH

Celebrity endorsement of men in heels by David Bekham and Victoria Bekham  (of their kid so I suppose it reduces the value of the endorsement a bit). Still.

Good find.

It's starting to get more common with men in heels. The more we are out in public the common it will get.

I've had gel gold metallic fingernails before. They are really fun. You start with a yellow gel base and put the powder on top and rub it in, then a clean on top. If you start with bright orange (instead of yellow) you get a rose gold effect.

Actually love the shape of the stilettos. Still too low for me but wow, real stilettos for men. That's a huge step. Soon you'll see nine west, guess and others follow suit. Then they will be everywhere and they will get higher.

Maybe someone can tell me if I misinterpreted the fundamentals, but it looks like Gucci has the money to continue innovating cutting edge, gender breaking fashion.   As long as Creative Director Alessandro Michelle is kept on board.

Put some freaking heels on these. Adornment is worthless without heels.

Adornment can be a gateway to heels. A stepping stone.  Because adornment can satisfy similar needs that wearing stilettos satisfies. It's a good thing.

Oh I don't know, I think it all depends on the person. Personally, if for some reason I couldn't wear heels anymore, I wouldn't even bother with the mental energy it takes to be a bit different. I actually bought some gals' flat sandals a few months ago. I haven't worn them once. I have no idea why I bought them. I'm kind of a big believer in the "high heel gene." Either you have it, or you don't.

Im not into adornments either, but I do like my knee boots - both with and without heels. Knee boots are a form of theatre in dress and as such certainly satisfy my bohemian leanings. I’ve about 10 pair of very nice knee boots of which only four have heels - I am quite happy wearing any and choose them interchangeably

Flats / heels, I have and like both (all sandals).  It depends on the occasion and how I feel.  Some day I feel like flats, some times I don’t.  But since this is a high heel site, I keep my comments in that direction.  Have fun....   sf

Nearly everything shown there is ugly and cumbersome - good only for Frankenstein's monster at Halloween.   I suspect that what most of us want is a development of the Beatle boot - slimmish block/Cuban heel (3 - 4"), tapered toe and no platform or other thick sole.

I agree, wouldn't wear any of those, except for the regular cowboy boots in the second picture.

Two compliments in one day!

Hi all....  It’s been kinda slow here so I thought I would include this non event experience.

The wife and I are at a local casino for the weekend. Yesterday I was out in my new VanEli Milina heeled sandals, wearing Gloria Vanderbilt jeans and a colorful collared shirt.

We were in the elevator and a guy got on and we make small talk about loosing  money, ha ha.  He then looks down and sees my pedicure and says “that’s really cool.”  No comment about the heels.  By then the elevator ride was over and we parted ways.

Later I was walking alone through the casino and was approached by a middle aged lady.  She was holding two slot cash out tickets and gave them to me.  She said that she was leaving and wanted to pass the tickets along, and that I was wearing really cute shoes.  Was I nice gesture and she was gone as fast as she arrived.

The rest of the evening was fun, just enjoyed loosing money while in my “cute” sandals.  The wife won, or at least broke even, as usual.

Smile.....   sf

Pretty cool comment and nothing about your shoes.

Have to admit never understood the cassino allure. Used to live near one with great golf courses. I figured the golf was worth more than the greens fees they were that nice, 20 min between tee times too. So I always thanked the gamblers for giving me better courses than I paid for.
