I've got to give it to lolla, a banned member of hhplace.

He's got the best blog on men in heels going and he just keeps chugging away, month after month. Now he has people submitting photos of themselves to him and is slowly gaining the attention of the blogosphere.

Cheers to a great job at

highheelspassion.blogspot.com

You keep going lolla.

Keep going!

;)

From the highheelspassion.blogspot.com website I also discovered the facebook page "High Heels for Men" http://www.facebook.com/photo_search.php?oid=21208181377&view=all which is run by Victor Blanco, a Spanish fashion stylist who displays a very strong fashion sense together with a passion for high heels. He has nearly 300 photos of himself and others all in heels. He also has a blog, "The Last It Boy", http://lastitboy.blogspot.com/, which is not exclusively about high heels, but definitely includes stylish feminine footwear and fashions. I like the stuff.

Zana Bayne's fashion blog, www.garbagedress.com , features some guys in heels. For example,

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/waxwings27/paris2/DSC_0231.jpg - the person in leather trousers and platform heels looks very androgynous; I tended to think it was a woman, but following pictures http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/waxwings27/paris2/DSC_0425.jpg and http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v76/waxwings27/paris2/DSC_0430.jpg leave no illusions. Great look, IMO ;).

What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!

On Saturday night in NYC I went to a loft party in the heart of Wall Street.....

Then the topic of men in heels came up. It wasn't me who brought it up either. It turns out this guy is friends with Rad Hourani. So when the topic came up, he disappeared to his bedroom and came out with a pair of Rad Hourani heels that the designer had given him as gift.

.....(Rad's heels for men are the exact same as the heels for women, but sell at 500 euros as opposed to 1000 according to my source).

Thanks for the interesting report KneeHighs.

If the male Rads are 500 euro, I wouldn't mind adding a pair to my collection. Just where to find them in London - Clue?

Me too, or anywhere else you can buy them in Europe if you can't get them in London - it's about time we went on a weekend city break.

I can see the shoes in on the guy with the Zebra top. I've worn similar styles out and about. But, I don't really like the overall look....or the look of the outfit in the second pic. Look to feminine for my taste.

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

Some new blogger reactions to men in heels. Note that most of the posts reference high heels for men.

My opinion is that those men that wear heels at Paris Fashion Week will be the true trailblazers of heels for men, since they have the exposure to key fashion industry insiders, bloggers, and reporters.

Apparently one owner of Shoreditch's Beach Blanket Babylon wore heels at Alice Instone's exhibition: Interview with a shoe.

I don't know if heels are a regular accessory for him or not, but you can't argue that he had bad timing for wearing heels.

Liz and Terry de Havilland were there also (pictured) - the makers of my "Archie Eyebrows" cuban heels that I love so much. Source as above Simon.

Are you confusing me with someone who gives a damn?

You know, I met Martin in person. Can't remember if it was the Stephen Sprouse book launch party or the Atelier Relocation party, but what I do recall is how skinny and feminine his hand was when I shook it (very small hand). Nice guy with a phlegmatic spirit.

He sure doesn't look masculine, does he?

Was he supposed to? I think the designer's intent was otherwise.

Those who really care about us don't make a fuss about what we wear. Those who make a fuss about what we wear really don't care about us.

Another man with an interest in wearing high heels. Now this guy has a real working knowledge of current high fashion and knows how to incorporate it into his own style. And if you read far enough, he even designs his own shoes and photographs the step-by-step process involved.

^ Oh, we're contacts on Flickr. Some great outfits he has and I admire his gutsy attitude when it comes dressing the way he does in public. He has lots of male and female admirers. He's breath of fresh air from all the people on Flickr who only seem to post pictures of their feet and legs.

Here's an interesting article regarding fashion and gender I've found where he's been used an example:

I knew when this thread was moved to the For Everybody section, it was never really going to reach it's full potential in terms of posts and views. Only 12,000+ views in over 2.5 years.

Enough with that rant.

Here is link to a video on the New York Times coverage of New York Fashion Week. Their photographer Bill Cunningham photographer Spanish stylist Victor Blanco and his friend both wearing heels.

I have to admit I really like this guy's outfit and especially his high heeled boots. Cool look. Love the hat, too.
