I went in for my monthly brizilan wax and the lady at the desk was talking to a co-worker about a lady that just canceled her appointment for a pedicure. She half jokingly turned and asked me if I wanted the appointmet....I think she was surprised when I said "sure why not". Then she asked again...really? Well ok then, I will set you up and as soon as you finished with the wax we will get you in to treat your feet. After my wax session I was escorted to a semi private room that had 2 soaking chairs in it. There was another lady in the first chair and I took the second chair. The nice girl started working on my feet and you have to understand that this is my first time recieving a pedicure so I did no know what to expect. The girl that was taking care of my feet was asking me about this and that being very nice. Then she asked me what color of nail polish I would like. I was kind of stunned...and the lady in the next chair spoke up and said that the RED would look nice. The two girls working our feet just laughed. I asked them what they thought would be a good color. They both decided on a soft pink. I went along with thier color choice. Well the best part of all is the end. Once the lady next to me finished (She choose the RED polish) she said she didn't want to mess up her nice feet by putting them back in the shoes she had worn to the Spa, so the girl working on her went to the cabanet and asked her size and pulled out a pair of 2 inch sandles and handed them to her. She said she would add them to her bill. The lady looked over at me and asked my size, I said excuse me.......She asked me for my size and I told her 12. She told the girl to get me a size 12 and put it on her bill. It was her treat, and that my toes looked so good that I should'nt hide them in my shoes. The girls had a little giggle and then she handed me a size 12 black sandle with a 2 inch heel. (Yes I will try and post a picture). Once she was finished and she told me to ask for her again when I re-scheduled. I stood up and I knew they both were waiting to see if I would put on the sandles. Well I put them on and carried my shoes to the front. My toes looked good sticking out of the sandles. If I stood still my pants completley covered my feet and noone could see my heels. When I walked I am sure everyone in the place could hear the clak clak clak of my heels on the tile. Once I got outside it was not as bad. Now I am home and still wearing my new sandles. All in all it was a great day. And just in case you were wondering if I rescheduled, Yes I did. My next appointment for a Brizilian Wax and Pedicure is on the 23rd of July. docs41 Posted June 24, 2006 Share Posted June 24, 2006 A couple of months ago my wife and I went to a spa to treat ourselves for all the extra time we were putting in at work and school. We got the full treatment and for me that meant a massage and pedicure. We got our pedicures at the same time, and I have to admit it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! It was a full pedicure and took almost an hour. The girl that did mine noticed something was different when I took my Candies sandals off before I got in the chair, although she did not comment. The entire experience was well worth the cost and I would do it again in a minute. At the end she asked if I wanted clear polish and I told her yes, but I really would have liked a color. Guess I wasn't as gutsy as I wanted to be. What really made me laugh inside was the fact that the girl who did my pedicure was wearing a pair of platform thongs just like a pair that I have at home.
