Shafted
I suppose I've been lax in reporting compliments from people here. I think it's a form of being punch dumb. I'm at the theatre now ingesting "Captain Phillips" having just come back from the bank conducting theatre business. While I was there I was complimented on my boots from one of the women working there (the bank manager I think). This has really become the norm for me to the point where it makes very little difference. I was wearing my "Miss Tina" black suede stiletto boots with gold piping, sole and heel over my American Eagle Outfitters skinny jeans. I was wearing a cable knit sweater, Peruzzi leather jacket, fedora and a knit scarf (it's f'ing cold here). That's pretty much my normal dress for this time of year. Life in heels as a guy is so good, it's easy to forget how unusual it still is in this day and age. Shafted, the boots that is! Steve63130
Great post, Shafted! I agree - it's awesome wearing heels out in public and enjoying them without guilt or shame. It's cold here too, man - stay warm! Steve
Shafted
Well, this morning here at McDonald's we had a few visitors from Quebec. 1 guy with 3 gals. They wound up sitting at the table adjacent to mine. Just love the way those French women dress, even in this arctic environment. I was wearing a charcoal gray cable knit sweater with my American Eagle skinny jeans and my Kimel black suede and leather kneehigh boots with a 3 inch spike heel. Caught the guy snapping a picture of me with his iPhone. I had to get up to get some more napkins, which I'm sure afforded him an even better view. It's funny, but of the four of them, he was the only one who seemed to have noticed. Shafted, the boots that is! Heelster
I don't often get any comments from anyone when I do go out in boots. Usually, they don't notice due to jeans over, but I do seem to have all the really noisy boots. Went into a DSW the other day, and a male associate actually noticed and complimented me - - - now that threw me for a curve. Slowly but surely, the kids have all seen most of my boots - - they know they are womens, and they don't seem to care. Wife is finally not saying much about it either, but I do tend to not wear them locally
Shafted
Yesterday in Pittsfield, I was coming out of Dysart's with my lunch when I heard a thumping on the window of an SUV. I turned to see a young woman pointing at my shoes (my Gabriella Rocha snakeskin stiletto pumps) and giving me a big smile and two thumbs up. I turned to her and smiled back. I was wearing them with light gray kneehighs and my American Eagle skinny jeans with my charcoal gray cable knit oversize sweater. Shafted, the boots that is! Shafted
This happened just moments ago while I was on the way up to the town office to take care of theatre business. I was wearing the following Frederick's of Hollywood pinstripe blazerAmerican Eagle Outfitters skinny jeansStreet Couture short sleeve v-neck jerseySheer black kneehigh stockingsBlue Suede Shoes black patent 4 inch stiletto pumpsFlex Felt fedora As I was approaching the rear entrance to the town office this absolutely stunning blonde in skinny jeans and wedge heel pumps held the door for me. I think we both did doubletakes. I know I did. Shafted, the boots that is! Thighbootguy
As I was approaching the rear entrance to the town office this absolutely stunning blonde in skinny jeans and wedge heel pumps held the door for me. I think we both did doubletakes. I know I did. I'm sure it was the Flex Felt fedora that caused the doubletake. Well done sir. TBG I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
