Hi, lets try again, if anyone is up for a meet to visit the shops during the sales, go for a coffee etc then I will gladly like to share it. I will be wearing either my 4" boots or hopefully my new 5" boots if they arrive in time. I know its a Monday but its the only day I can get for such a meet. Hope others can make it. Meet between 1000 and 1015 outside Harvy Nichols by Schuh and Office shops.

Write me in as 50:50 at present .... depends if I'm oop North around that time. BTW ..... I hear that Leeds is a right pig to park in ..... congestion charges and all that nanny-state crap. Am I mistaken ? Xa

You are very much mistaken, plenty of parking, no congestion charges and a nice condensed city centre with absolutely loads of shoe/boot shops. One shop I know specialises in boots with platform soles etc plus a sex shop that sells 6" heels, Leeds has it all which is why I do all my shopping there, well for ladies boots etc anyway

i like calv wouldnt mind change of scenery too......are there any shops apart from the inevitable evans in leeds that specialise in larger sizes I am a 10 or 11......... Leeds certainly appeals & the date coincides with some leave i have booked.........

keen to meet other uk male heel wearers to try & boost my confidence to wear heels in public

not to put anyone of but from experience i add comments to the contrary. Leeds is a git to get any sense of direction and is badly signposted. Parking is nastily expensive. My work (bank) sends us on courses there regularly. Avoid the city centre carparks as you will be forking out about 8 quid for the day, dispite my travel hatred for Leeds the place is thriving with many shops, and there is plenty of heely shops to wander in. as for my attendance, i am off that week, so we will see what plans brings daz

There is parking around the Queens Hotel Area and the Station. It's a short walk to the city centre from there. I think you can get parking for £3-4 a day mid week unless it's changed a huge deal from when I was there last (3 years). I can't make Monday. Sat or Sun is best day for most people as you say, but have a good time :)

Depending on where you travel in from but the best parking and most direct route in is to get onto the A64 from York direction. Then when you get onto the A64M dual carriage way there are numerous carparks off that that charge from £4 to £8 for the day.

If you are coming from south just follow M1 city centre and railway station and there is cheapish parking all around there.

In the map you can see the top of the M1 (blue) at the bottom of the picture and there should be parking around the Airedale retail park/Station (Aire street, top left). The start of the city centre is Albion street and Commercial Street (brown streets), top centre. This is about a 600m walk from the Aire Street Area.

Pass through the attractive City Square on your walk in.

HI, Daz,

That's the way I heard it, as if the socially responsible beardy-wierdies on bicycles were trying very hard to give these nasty car drivers grief by designing the traffic system to be user unfriendly.

If Calv is navigating then we might manage to sort ourselves out.

  • 3 weeks later...

Only a few weeks away from the 31st, how many people so far think that they can make the meet? I plan to wear my 5" knee boots with 1\2" platform. Will post my mobile number once I am much nearer the day so that theres no confusion over where we are meeting up.

Diana High Heels,

I checked out your 5" Heels with Platform boots on your Yahoo Site.

NICE....Very Nice. I have similar pair, but I like yours more.

What brand are they? Where did you get them? I would love to order a pair for myself.

Thank You,

Gary0618

Hi Gary, Many thanks for the praise I also hope you liked my site. The boots I found on Ebay and believe it or not got them for a whole £10. They are all leather but no brand name just a style number and size on the inside boots top. They are a size 7, I take an 8 but forunately they are a large 7. Some how it makes them that bit more special being in a smaller size as the fit is though tight extremely rewarding and I have already spent many hours wearing them around Leeds and will do again.

Only a couple of weeks to go now and I would really like to know how many are planning to attend the meet, so far I think there are possibly two. Can people who are planning to meet up please let me know for sure if this is the case so I can plan accordingly.
