It's like the click. When you first wear heels and hear that click you fell everybody within 2 km will hear it and stare at you. Years ago when I first switched to only women's shoes, I had the plastic heel replaced with (quite) rubber ones on my Bare Traps booties, my first 2 inch heels. Today I embrace the click and own it.

Cali,

Sorry, you're wrong on that. I felt everybody within 5 km would hear it and stare at me! LOL

Not long ago I bought 2 pairs of Payless "Tori" Ankle Strap Booties, which are so quiet I actually MISS the clicking noise! HA HA HA!

Hi all

back at work after a 6 week break ;(

picked up a new pair of shoes. Wittner ‘match’ open toe, open heel, 11.5 cm heel, 1cm platform. Full leather.

Saw these on ebay and knew they’d fit as id tried them on instore previously. I’d only ever looked at the black with white highlight before. But what the heck. $20 was a bargain.

I took it my local shoe repair place.

2 options, well 3 really (do nothing is 1)

snip them and use a dremel or similar to cut it as close as possible

unscrew heel, remove bling and re attach heel

1st is cheapest but not a good job. 2nd is $50 pair so not too bad

I will continue to ponder

Another day, phew

heading out western Sydney on train. Wearing my nine west ankle boots with the heel bling. Im not a great fan of the silver bling but it would costs lots to get it cut off.

these boots have a 12cm heel with 1cm platform.

I ended up taking to it with a sharp box cutter type knife.

Left about 1mm around which is not noticeable. Very happy with the look.

Heading to work on train with sun just popping up and casting long shadows.

Wearing my Clarks purple suede ankle boots.

I like the shadow effect of the heel, and thought I might share it.

Have a great day!

Some really beautiful footwear

Generally I don't like bling, but this is very attractive. It adds to the boot without being ostentatious or overpowering.

These are lovely sandals, would love a pair. With that stunning pedi you must look really good!

This goes to show that some like the bling while others cut it off. Diversity.

Hi @jeremy1986

covered footwear is a requirement outside the office, so i generally stay with boots year round. But once inside the office if Im not going out I can change my footwear.

I have a pair of peep-toe booties with block heels, bought on an impulse, but I've never worn them as I don't really like peep toes as I see them as too feminine for the conservative look I generally favour. I'm looking everywhere for a pair of closed-toe wedge mules to wear as slippers, possibly with other people around too, but can't find anything.

On the light fantastic toe.'

Beautiful sandals!! Wish I could go to work dressed like that, but I don't think the safety officers wouldt appreciate my skill in navigating a construction site in high heels.

Hi everyone

I know that the majority on this site are from the northern half of the world, however down under our shops are just starting to get the first of the AW18, (Autumn Winter 2018) styles in. Red and white are big this season, along with black and leopard print, Quite a few styles im seeing also have silver / gunmetal styles.

Heels seems to be much the same as normal with a few weird (my view only) conical types popping up and slouchy long boots which I (again my view) also dont like.

However there are a few great shoes that I have already tried on and cannot wait till they drop in price a little.

Plus I scored a great pair of cheap platform stilettos from one of our discount warehouses.

At 14.99 they were hard to resist

Mid March, at least in terms of sunlight, is equivalent to mid-September in the Northern Hemisphere. Australia and New Zealand are both, however, still milder than places of the same latitude in North America, Asia, and far eastern Europe, Sandal season down there is quite long indeed! HappyinHeels

Hi all

went to Wittner yesterday and tried on some of the new season stuff. Too many new styles to choose from. Like a kid in a candy store.

i tried on the Eamon boot in tan with a 11.5cm high block heel. The Jetta boot in black with a 9.5cm stiletto and elastic upper, the hathaway boot 8.5cm heel, in blush (read pinky nude colour) which is a sock style and was sooooo comfy i was surprised and lastly at sales reps insisting tried on the Hendrick slouchy pull on boot in silver. It has a weird looking cone heel that is 9.5cm and is actually very comfy. These boots are just over knee and also come in a bright red.

Now if i can just get pics to load .....

nope!

no pics.

Regards

James
