"A lone ranger mask weeping" - that really made me smile :)

Is it meant to mean something?

In honour of your possible genuine bewilderment (and wonderful imagination!):

But now all I see is this (and the world is a brighter place for it):

I don't think anyone should be expected to sit through one of these twice.  Probably against the Geneva Convention.  A plea to all to do your homework, which means we expect you to listen to all these soul destroying songs too.  Like a club where initiation never ends.

Apologies to all for having missed your earlier posting of this assault on the ears; the links don't seem to embed the video on my browser so I have to look at each separately to see the daily offerings.

I can't really believe that your world is brightened by the Lone Ranger suffering from depression

Maybe they're tears of joy (the Lone Ranger just found HHPlace!) ;)

Just to get back on topic, my undisputedly most despised track ever is Gary Glitter's "Leader of the Gang", I can't even bring myself to post a link (but it was worth tracking down a vomiting smiley icon) post-12051-0-04432100-1421370476.jpg

I'm going to attempt to steer the thread back on track before things deteriorate any further.

It's high time to introduced some culture I think:

I like a bit of culture, but not 1h:50m worth on laptop speakers!

I was reminded of this tonight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxUfg3uCBbg You can imagine how grateful I was.

And I'm not getting into whatever that was.

So, thanks to inspiration from the "Covers" thread, I present https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff974Ocxl4Q.  If I recall correctly, and it was some time ago, Giorgio Moroder was getting so frustrated by the industry that he thought he could make a truly awful act/record and propel it to the top of the charts on hype alone.  At the time, I believe he was both correct and succeeded!  I wonder what he thinks now.

From where do you keep digging these up? I can't keep up; why did you have to remind me of that. OK, JJB, should have realised no kid would end it like that.

I've not listened to the middle one yet. But I can already see where it's headed.

And Peter S?

Still, these all have a bright side; the howling wind, freezing rain/sleet/snow don't seem quite so bad, now, knowing that I could be subjected to another bout of aural torture at any moment:-)

Oh yes Pete and Dud are always funny.  There's a lovely couple who come to the club just at closing time some nights. They buyu their array of drinks and sit together and read the paper.  They're called Janet and Clive, which I always feel sounds like an obscene reading scheme thought up by Pete and Dud.  I think I might write it.

Yep I know a Janet and Clive they have their own website, I remember a LP released by Pete and Dud in the late sixties, can't remember what it was called but you could not play it today. Way way over the top. Think Jane Mansfield on a skyscraper rings a bell.

life is not a rehearsal

You and Miss Amanda are correct Megan, but I was going on pure memory from the late sixties, wish I had the time to do all this research.

It's all from memory, I assure you, no research needed.

I was storing The Firm for a snowy day.  Now I'll just have to use this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKdrqyroDlI
