The spiky heels came much later when worn at the royal courts. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects. For the most part, it seems some women really enjoy the ability to show off their ability to make graceful moves while wearing high heel appearing to "glide" across the surface of the planet. Meanwhile others "clomp" like a horse or choose to avoid heels all together for flip-FLOPS or trainers. Guess which ones attact the most attention.
