You could fall and twist or break an ankle. In either case, when the authorities find you, you will be greatly embarrassed. It's tempting to think of nighttime as safe, but don't go out where you could be a victim. If you want to wear heels in public, go to a busy place, like a mall, train station, or department store. People are so wrapped up in their own tasks, they really won't see you or laugh at you. Mature women who notice will compliment you; teenage girls in packs will giggle. Life's like that. You will find that wearing heels in public isn't as big of a concern as you think. It's mostly in your head and most folks won't notice. As Steve says you may even get some compliments which really feels good!! A few giggles don't hurt and there won't be many. After a short time you will wonder why you didn't do this sooner.Go for it at the mall or busy area and see for yourself. Been there and done that! You'll be glad you did! Foxyheels Posted October 23, 2013 Share Posted October 23, 2013 I would suggest you go to the White rose shopping centre, I have spent th day shopping there wearing heels with no issues what so ever. It's a nice busy environment and easy to walk on heels for a long time as the surface is so smooth. You can park close to an entrance and nobody should bother you. You might get a few sales girls compliment you though, vey down to earth people and friendly as I'm su you are aware. Just don't go out on a match day as your football fans ar not too tolerant. Dark areas are dedicated to hidden businesses which much less accept witnesses than you...i personnally found one or two secluded car parks, where i can test for heels outdoors, in broad dailight, which I only share with on trip sales people looking to rest a bit. aussieheels1 Posted October 23, 2013 Share Posted October 23, 2013 i agree with everyone's comment that dark secluded location may be more trouble than it's worth but at the same time i'm like you and am too worried/scared to go out in busy area for fear of people laughing/mocking me or run into someone I know.... most of my outings are at night and I find that putting petrol in cars after hours in heels is a good place to start. I've never, ever spilled fuel at the pumps here. They are designed to shut off before a spill occurs. Shafted, the boots that is! When it's raining you can see iridescent colors on some places of the ground only at gas stations, so I assumed that it's not because of the regular asphalt properties, and I suspect the colored media is there not only during rain.It seems spills do not come from cars' gas tanks over filled, rather than from the fueling gun still dripping when too quickly removed.
