my wife and i are going on a cruise in a few months and the only 2 pairs of shoes she will be bringing are her 51/2 inch red patent and black patent platform pumps. if you google kissable 71 platform pump high heels you can see them at one of the places that sells them. my wife likes to dress up each night and wears shorter type skirts and dresses. she will be wearing these shoes each night with really sheer pantyhose or stockings. on one of the formal nights she is going to wear a red sexy type dress with her seamed copper/tan stockings with the red patent platforms. im really looking forward to that night. i guarantee she will get some looks that night. i love going on cruises and places like las vegas because my wife can dress to the nines and never look out of place. she knows i really like to see her look hot and she says she likes doing it so it works out great.the good thing about these shoes is she can wear them all night and they dont seem to bother her. she wore them all over the place in las vegas each night with no problems. she finds these shoes very comfortable and they really look sexy. any other couples enjoy this type of thing and how high of a heel do you wear on vacation?

Having been on cruises myself, they do consist of days as well as nights. Does she wear high heels on the beach and on shore visits as well?

On our private balcony it was 4 and 5 inch pumps for me and a matching pair for the Mrs. In the evening anything classy goes. My wife wore 4 inch wedges for the most part in the evening. We saw gals in 3 inch wedges up thru 4 - 5 inch pumps and Sandals. Like Shafted suggested, bring something comfy, with or without heel, for the rest of the time. Best, AZShoeNut

Life is short...  Wear the bleeping shoes!

I like to dress up also when on holiday or out for a night, shoe wise I probably wear some that are a little higher and thinner than normal. MrsF also dresses up similar to Trevor's wife and 5'' shoes are standard.

High heels are the shoes I choose to put on, respect my choice as I repect yours.

My husband and I did an Alaska cruise. We did a lot of walking of course so brought several pair of good shoes to get around. But I did bring my heels for the elegant dinners and nights of dancing and the casino.I had no problem with 4" heels and even mules my husband loves.

Barbara, we did the same thing last year. For nights that were the "formal nights" on board, I wore my 4 inch heels without a problem...even one night when the seas were a little rough! ;-)) I just love getting all dressed up! Of course for shore excursions, I had several pairs of comfy shoes that carried me through the trip in fine style!

It's about Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of New Shoes!

I've been on several cruises but I remember all the ships were painted gray and had large white numbers on them. I looked down and didn't see 6" heels but steel-toed work boots called "boondockers." Ah....that's right I was cruising around in the US Navy. I tend to take wedge heels on vacation, they're lightweight and versatile. As far as us guys wearing heels on cruises I'd look for those LGBT-friendly cruises. Every review says they are fabulous. Just an idea. HappyinHeels

I have cruised several times while wearing heels in the evenings on the ships. Daytime and shore time, bathing suite or shorts, no shoes or sneakers, heels are just not very practical beach or amusment wear. People on cruises are way more open minded as they are also just there to relax and lose themselves in the fun of the vacation. Many of my best comments have been on board ship.
