Heel High Calculation

My wife has a really sexy pair of black patent court shoes with a 13.5cm (5.5 inch) stiletto heel, she is normally a UK4, but the shoes are a UK5 and from front to the rear of the shoe are 18.5cm (7.5 inch) long measured from the tip of the toe to the back of the top of the heel and has a near vertical arch. My question is, what size heel I would need to experience the same sensation as my wife, I am a UK8 (EU42) Thanks

scorer10, I think Dr. Shoe is correct in her assessment of heel height and pitch. Don't forget also that there is a natural variation of normally 1-2 cm between the smallest and largest size of any given style. A shoe's description, along with heel height, is normally based on a US size 8 woman's shoe. That's what gets photographed and sent to graphic designers for use in their publicity. Anyone wearing sizes of US10 or larger will normally get a 1-2 cm higher heel than was advertised which is a god thing! HappyinHeels
