Another venue to consider heeling

Hi All,

You have heard roniheels talk about perhaps looking for heels at an exotic boutique type of store and perhaps wearing heels into the store as they see alternative types anyway. This is very sound advice. I was on the road today and visited a store called "AFter Hours Lingerie" which is in a very rural area and is configured such that one can easily get in and out. I had always wanted to stop in, while wearing whatever I had on and today I did. Dressied in bootcut jeans, a beige polo shirt, a gold tone woman's watch and wearing my Westii wedge sandals.

I ended up just buying thigh high pantyhose but the salesgirl didn't even blink. The only customer in the store saw me but didn't stare or anything but then again he was buying lingerie. Just as roniheels tells it, the experience was exactly as expected. Get out there and enjoy yourselves! Consider this type of store of you are looking for certain things and wear the footwear of your choice into the store! Figured I'd share (and back up) what roniheels has said before.

The specialty boutiques are great for shoe shopping if they have the styles your interested in. Been doing this since I started trying and buying. Got to the point where the sales girls are on the lookout for something I might like in my size. You usally end up with Pleaser, Ellie, Hollywood heels and Highest heels. These kinds of shops also tend to cater to the dancers, so sky high platforms are always on the venue. Great shops for patterned thigh highs too. I have never had any issues in these kinds of shops. The sales associates are almost always helpful, and are not on commission so they are not pushy either.

You must be referring to exotic dancers. There are many dancers here in the town where I work. The majority of them are dancers from the Bossov ballet company, and I can assure you that that is not the kind of footwear that they wear. That includes the more contemporary dance styles that are taught by other dance schools in this area.

Shafted, the boots that is! View my gallery here http://www.hhplace.o...afteds-gallery/ or view my heeling thread here http://www.hhplace.org/topic/3850-new-pair-of-boots-starts-me-serious-street-heeling/ - Pm me if you want fashion advice or just need someone to talk to.

Ok - - I was being a bit tame - -

Exotic dancers is correct although I have a couple pairs that would fit that catagory, and by no means am I exotic.

HappyinHeels,

I'm glad you had a good experience in the boutique. I think the sucessful people in this business have to have a very open mind to each individuals "pleasures" and they are going to go out of their way to help the customer. Really, this is the attitude all sales people should have no matter what the business.

Glad that you had a good shopping experience. The sandals you wore were great! I have several pairs that are similar, but not quite that high.

If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!

Actually I've noticed that female ballet dancers often wear really high heels, and wear them well. One dancer told me very high heels are easy for them with all their pointe training and it's one of the bonuses with ballet training.

I have heard the same thing, but have not seen it. Seen plenty of ballet dancers though.
