The label of crossdressing is the result of the double standard created by society as it tries to take away men's personal right to choose their own personal appearance. Hardly ever, if at all, is the term applied to women. After women started to cross the gender line wearing men's shirts, trousers, footwear, and etc., the market for such items became lucrative which led to fashion lines of menswear for women. Due to women wearing men's apparel, women aren't seen as loosing their womanly charms. This same attitude should be applied to men in heels and drop this double standard.
