Heeling - where?

Hi, I often love to go for walks in my black leather thigh high boots. More often than not, it's usually in places where there's lots of shops with large glass frontages, so I can see myself while I walk along. And only late at night when there's little chance of bumping into anybody else. Sometimes I meet people along the way and the reaction that happens inside me is either a) panic, where I try and walk away from the person(s) or :) don't care, where I can walk really close to people just to hear their reactions. When do you go out, and where? And what reactions do you have inside or get from others? If anybody is from Doncaster it would be cool to go for a walk in thigh boots together some evening? Let me know if anybody's up for that?

Like you I also only tend to go out in night, however I tend to stick to back streets (not always clever I know, but I live in the back streets of my town). It's rate I see someone but I tend to get a knot in my sromach, I want to turn around and walk the other way, but I know this will just draw more attention to myself. However I tend to go out in styles that are harder to detect that they are heels.

You might want to read some of the previous posts by JeffB or Thighbootguy. They have inspired me and given me new ideas where to wear high heels in public. I myself go out in the day time usually when I have a day off work and I plan my day and places where I am going to go. I also wear high heels on weekends and go out early in the morning to run my errands. It just depends on how comfortable you are wearing high heels in public. Like I have told many others, take your time, don't pressure yourself, and enjoy your outings in high heels.

I have said this before, but for me I wear mine with jeans that will at least cover the heels, with the toes expose (closed toe that is) and I go all over the place. This last weekend I went to the the Wal-Marts and walked around there along with my wife with no problems of any kind.

Hi guys sorry i've not posted for a while but just yesterday my wife and myself went shopping in Preston and i was wearing my three and half inch stiletto heel ankle boots under my jeans. This was an exhiliarating experience for me because all of the heel was exposed due to the length of the jeans. We went on the train and bus and all over town into pubs and shoe shops trying on boots together.Out of all the people that we saw not one person even asked me why i was wearing heels even tho you could spot them a mile off.We went to one shop where i tried on a pair of calf length boots which unfortunately were too tight, but when the assistant saw that i was wearing boots already she just asked me if they they were comfortable. When i replied of course they were otherwise i wouldn't be wearing them she didn't bat an eyelid.I will be hoping to repeat this experience a.s.a.p. and if any body on this board wants to meet up in preston for a shopping trip during the day while wearing heels my wife and myself will be more than pleased to help with confidence etc.

Where do I go in heels? Malls, downtown areas, strip malls, department stores, big box electronics stores, bookstores, the occasional casino, ALL in broad daylight, which, for me, is the only way to go, and it's great fun too! I don't hide what I wear either, if people can't accept or handle what I choose to wear, well, that's their problem, not mine!

I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!

You forgot to mention the observation platform of the Empire State Building in NYC:silly:

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

I came across this old post and I wear my 3" boots every ware Walmart, Menards, the printing stores usally with relaxed fit jeans so that maybe a little on the heel shows. I find that there is enough noise that no one noticed the heels. I did wear my 5 1/2" black platforms to walmart on a 10:00pm shopping trip with longer dress pant and again no one noticed but to tell you the thruth i would not know if the did I just walked like I always do and did not turn around to check out is anyone was looking

I think the easiest way for me to answer this myself would be when I dont wear a pair of heels. - When Im doing Physical work. - My day Job. Outside of those 2 instances, I dont know what I will be wearing. It could be anything from knee-high boots to a pair of traditional heels, UGG boots, flats.. Ive worn heeled footware to bars, clubs, friends places, my folks/relatives places.. I guess ' all over ' could be an appropriate answer. After playing on a stage in front of larger crowds, wearing a pair of heels in front of anyone really has lost its ' shock ' factor from my perspective. Its as if its ' nothing new '. I hope to go out on a walk ( if I can ) this week and stretch my legs. Its been a week since I've been out and about and could use a ' stroll '.

REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.

Hi, everywhere. I go to work in heels when the mood takes me, although I drop an inch in heel height for work. I prefer heels on my feet so its starting to be almost all the time! The only time I don't wear heels is if the ground isn't compatible with my current shoes - eg stilettos with mud/grass/shingle , or if the activity is not at all high heel-compatible such as mountain biking/climbing/ladders/gardening/running/carrying a tv set.... Basically I choose my shoe style to cover what I am likely to need to do each day and I carry flats on my person always... just in case... Cheers Heel-Lover
