Hello Everyone,

We are only six weeks away from what is beginning to shape up as a fun, well attended High Heel/Boot Meet in Toronto; Friday and Saturday September 10 & 11, 2010.

So far we have the following people confirmed:

dblair (from Winnipeg,MB)

Rob (Toronto, ON)

BernHeels (from Chicago,IL)

iloveboots (from Kelowna, BC)

Paul De Marsh (Toronto, ON)

Jackie (Mississauga, ON)

Let me know by email/PM if you are attending and if you will be at both nights or one of the nights (which one). This helps with planning numbers at the club etc.

We have not firmed up the agenda yet but we do know that on Friday night we will have a Pub Meet first in the Carlton/Church area (TBA) and then a fun event night at Zipperz (info below).

We will have the Saturday night locations as well as the event schedule for the day on Saturday available soon. Send along suggestions. Right now the Saturday day events are shaping up to be a day of heel shopping in one of the best shoe/boot shopping areas in the world, downtown Toronto along Bloor Street/Yorkville and the Eatons Centre. We also have the Bata Shoe Museum in downtown Toronto as another great option on Saturday. The City will be "Alive" during the heel/boot meet as the Toronto Film Festival is on at the same time (here is another great option to take in a few first run movies).

Many folks for this meet are coming in from out of town, here are four hotels in the area that we're staying in that may help your selection, a few price ranges available. BernHeels and I are already booked into the Wildside and Paddy has a couple of rooms left if anyone else is interested. For those of you who want to change before heading out we can accommodate you doing so at the Wildside, let me know if you will be taking advantage of this.

Saturday, August 28/2010 UPDATE:

We are only two weeks away from what is beginning to shape up as a fun, well attended High Heel/Boot Meet in Toronto; Friday and Saturday September 10 & 11, 2010.

Spread the Word!!!

So far we have the following people confirmed (as of August 28)

dblair (MB)

Toronto Guy/Rob (ON)

BernHeels (IL - USA)

iloveboots (BC)

Paul De Marsh (ON)

Jackie (ON)

MyHiHeels/Frank and Mrs(ON)

Krystall (ON)

Cathy Arnold (ON)

Rochelle (NY- USA)

Rickdias (ON - saturday night)

Arctic (NY - USA; maybe)

Let me know by email if you are attending and if you will be at both nights or one of the nights (which one). This helps with planning numbers at the club etc.

The agenda is now firmed up.

Friday night we will have a Pub Meet (7:30pm) first in the Maitland/Church area (Firkin & Churchmouse) and then a fun event night (9:30pm) at Zipperz (info below).

Saturday day events are shaping up to be a day of heel shopping in one of the best shoe/boot shopping areas in the world, downtown Toronto along Bloor Street/Yorkville and the Eatons Centre; and a must stop at NorthBound Leather. We also have the Bata Shoe Museum in downtown Toronto as another great option on Saturday. The City will be "Alive" during the heel/boot meet as the Toronto Film Festival is on at the same time (here is another great option to take in a few first run movies).

Saturday evening will begin with a Pub Meet (8:00 pm) first in the Maitland/Church area (Firkin & Churchmouse) and then a fun evening at Goodhandy's, visit http://www.goodhandys.com

for more info. Doors open at 10pm.

Many folks for this meet are coming in from out of town, here are four hotels in the area that we're staying in that may help your selection, a few price ranges available. Bern, DBlair and I are already booked into the Wildside and Paddy, not sure if there are any rooms left. For those of you who want to change before heading out we can accommodate you doing so at the Wildside, let me know if you will be taking advantage of this.

I'd go but the whole thing now about having a current visa means I can't unless I sneak across the border. Be a few months till I get the cool new rfid enable visa of DOOM.

Yup, this Canada/USA border rules are now ridiculous considering the huge number of Americans and Canadians who travel back and forth. Sorry you won't be able to join us,

I wrote visa but meant passport. Doh! I'll see if I can't make it to the next one though. Always wanted to see lil Toronto. Also, why do natives not pronounce the final t in Toronto?

Ya, too bad a passport is now required to cross the border, but you only need to renew it once every 5 years, so we'll definitely see you next time:smile: And on that note, to all other US heel fans, please join us if you are able...I think this meet will be something special!

As far as pronouncing the second "t", is't there only one "t" in Torono? Just kidding...I think I pronounce the second "t", at least 40% of the time :)

This will be my 1st heel meet. I am bring way to many heels - just don't know which ones to wear. I have peep toe and closed toe pumps. Also a couple of pairs of boots. My heels would be similar to the ones in my avitar. I also plan on doing some shoe shopping to add to my collection. Looks like the temps at night will not be below 61F which is not bad. Looking forward to meeting you all! Bernheels

Lots of fun last night at the Friday edition of the Heel/Boot Meet in Toronto! At the Pub we had DBlair, Bernheels, iloveboots, PauldeMarsh and Krystall. Awesome heels! Great conversation! Later in the evening everyone (except PauldeMarsh) headed down Church Street to Zipperz. Some great games of pool, most won by Bernheels! Unfortunately Bernheels had to head home Saturday morning after his car was broken into and cameras and laptop were stolen, really a bad stroke of luck. DBlair and iloveboots made a trip to the Bata Museum, pretty cool but we were a bit dissappointed there weren't more modern looking heel fashions; though we did not dissappoint the other patrons in fact one couple asked DBlair if he was one of the exhibits in his 5 inch stiletto heel ankle Boots. Tonight the meet continues at 8pm at the Pub. Hope others can join us, look forward to you joining us rickdias! David

Saturday night was a blast! Rickdias joined DBlair, Joanne Starr and I for a fun time at the Pub. Rickdias and DBlair both wore high heel black ankle Boots; Joanne Starr (new member at HHPlace) purchased a pair of Overtheknee Black high heel Boots that day and broke them in that night; and I wore the black leather Jean Gaborit thigh Boots with the red leather stripe. Lots of laughs and good conversation at the Pub followed by ending the night back at Zipperz Club around the piano at the bar. All in all a fun Heel Meet in Toronto. Thank you to the members who were able to make it and sorry that others who wanted to be there were unable to make it. Cheers, David

To all who atteded last weekend. I had a great time. Even though it was shortened due to the break in - it was worth every minute. Iloveboots was a great organizer and now a friend in heels as were dblair and the others. It was such a rush to slip on my peep toe 5 inch pumps and go walking around Toronto - in the day light in my heels. We shot pool at the bar and again we were in heels all day and night. I think I acyually had them on when I fell asleep Friday night :) Thanks to all for a great time!! Can't wait for the next event:) Bernheels
