looks good.....for $10, you cannot beat that deal!!!!   I check thrift stores all the time, hard to find boots in ladies sz 11 but when I do I usually buy them.....I would so much like to find some knee high( or taller) hard sole platform boots with big block heels like was worn in the 70s.

Great looking boots.  Did you try them out over or under jeans?  (Shame not to show them off :cheeky:).

These are a match to my wife's pair of boots. I got the olive color and my wife's are black. Still trying to get a picture of us together. May have to bribe her with another new pair.

Wow... a his and her matching pair.  Would love to see that picture.  Great looking boots by the way.

Baby steps, wish I had your confidence THBG!  But, I did wear them out (levis over the boots) for about an hour last night.  Stopped and had pizza, walked by many folks, and had a drink in the hotel bar.  I'm hoping someone noticed and approved....

I hear ya buddy, I usually wear 11s as well, but boot sizing surely varies!  The last pair I got, a nice leather pair, said they were 9.5s, I almost didn't try them on!  Sure glad I did cuz they fit fine.  These are a pretty tight, but I stretched them out for an hour or so last night while out and about.  They look great but the "pleather" is already flaking off the shafts, but that is OK, sure don't expect em to last too long for $10.

I too, would love to find a 70s style pair with block heels.  I guess the key is to visit the thrift stores often, good stuff goes quickly!

Just went to the lobby for breakfast, and of course, a fellow crew member motioned me over to her table....Oh boy, be careful, 5" heels on a slippery tile floor!  This was good for me, was forced into a situation I have tried to avoid...In the end, I don't think she noticed, and if she did, said nothing....But, of course, the whole crew base will know about my boots tomorrow if she did see them!  I took another walk outside after breakfast and had a smoke, see it wasn't as bad as I had feared!

A few weeks ago I ordered these riding boots at New Look. Haven't had the time to take pictures but today I thought it was time. No real heels but I do like them though and they are very nice to wear. I also have another pair of New Look ankle boots coming my way. :)

I like those. But then I like flattish tall boots. That's my style.

These aren't new but they have been hidden away in a boot bin and I haven't shown them before.  When I found them I wore them all day.  They are Impo Stretch boots in a size 13.

I must have found them in a thrift store and put them away.  They are now getting a lot more wear.

Today I bought these boots in sale for 23 USD. I really like the overall shape and details. Little snug in EU42, but thats as big as they come....

http://www.tesco.com/direct/ff-faux-snakeskin-contrast-zip-detail-ankle-boots/467-2736.prd

On my way home, I took the longer route and I made a stop, changed into my new boots in the car and taken them for a bit of stretch. As i was walking where i thought no one would be, two cyclists slowly passed me by, they surely could see my boots, but they had no reaction at all....I'm writing this only because this was the first time somebody saw me in heels in daylight, so it's kinda milestone for me.

First, nice booties they look like they will be comfortable as well as stylish.

Second, I think I can assure you the two cyclists were more on the lookout for the road's condition and not hitting a pedestrian that was in their road than noticing what was on your feet.  I know... brand new booties and no one notices is kind of a bummer.

However, how about that, out in heels in the daylight and the world hasn't come to an end.  That is a s great first step (in heels) and I hope there will be many more to follow.  Those booties will not draw much much, if any, attention and you should be able to wear them anywhere providing you wear them with confidence.  If you go out with a "I'm wearing women's booties don't look at my feet" expression, guess what will happen.  However, if you have one of those "It's a great day (to be wearing heels), and all's right with the world" expression, it will be one of those days.

Enjoy your heels.

Yeah, you're right. I'm just approaching this mindset slowly cause I'm a bit conservative person... :-)

Your absolutely correct, this is a mindset, and guess who is in control of that.

Don't rush into anything you are not comfortable doing.  Make sure you like the look you present wearing your booties.  This is not just to see "what you can get away with", rather it about presenting a good looking image that you are comfortable with.  Quality work takes time.  Get used to seeing yourself in heels and liking that image.  When you are comfortable (and only then) head on out.

I assure you that once your out and about, you will wonder what all the fuss was about and what has taken you so long to start enjoying your heels.

Yeah, I'm a boot cheerleader.:penitent:

Percent,

Those are great booties with which to start heeling in public. Congrats on taking your first steps in daylight. As TBG says, look and act confident and you will have a great time. I would wear booties like that. In fact I have some booties on order and can't wait to get them. Good luck and happy heeling!

Steve

Well here it is...she said she would take a photo together with our boots on. Now wish I would have got the black too.

WOW great picture and Double WOW for the experience it depicts.  Be sure she knows that all the guys on the board are quite jealous and deeply appreciate the support she is demonstrating.

Now, go back and get yourself a black pair (and her a gray pair). :cheeky:

You might also share this picture from the long defunked thighboots.com for the sentiments on the T-shirt.
